DWJ2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Both main A frame side walls, completed, but had a stability issue with the left hand side one, requiring some re-enforcing plates, which was after several rebuilds due to it self destructing. I’m missing a few parts for the roof, which I’m going to eventually greeble more I think. But I have to say, it looks incredible. This was the one MOC. I really wanted to own, however it’s a massive project and has taken me months! But the satisfaction is worth overcoming the odd difficult bit. Quote

DWJ2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Looks great, can’t wait to see it finished. Are you using the extended interior module to support the cockpit? Quote

Are you using the extended interior module to support the cockpit? Thanks mate! Yes, I do ... works great! There is something that I noticed! I had to remove this 4x4 plate and this 1x6 plate, so that the body sits correctly on the chassis! Otherwise it looks like that, and I think that's not correct!? picture brickvault picture muhkuh picture cavegod manual picture bricksmarlin Another thing. 47 chain links as in the instructions! picture brickvault 45 chain links are enough! https://www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?media/albums/sandcrawler-wip.6792/ Edited November 10, 2018 by bricksmarlin Quote
cavegod Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Yes can confirm 45 links per track there is also 45 in the ldd file. any other things you need clarifying while im about? Quote

Ok, I didn't notice that! Not really to be honest, everything is running pretty well so far! And with a modell of this size there are always small "problems"! The only thing I was thinking about are the sidewalls of the cockpit! I attached them for testing, and they have a small offset of a half stud too the lower side wall. It look's like on your flickr, and it's totally ok for me.....but in the video it looks like this little offset is gone! Did you change something? Quote

cavegod Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 thats the old ersion before i added the cockpit and internal frame. i think you can fit 2 x 1x2 slopes with grill ill take a picture of what i have done. Quote
Ragni Norgrimson Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Hey hello! Great Interiour! I also got the instructions now :) (part of the club now ):D) Do you have some pics of the power functions setup? i am curious ablut the 3 battery boxes only due to the heavy weight and the 6 xl motors and 1 sm motor.... I think the 10 light-cables are neglectable. Are 3 Battery Boxes enough? Quote
bricksmarlin Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Interior almost done! Yesterday I started to add the ceiling. I also added some light and a winch for the crane! At the moment I'm waiting for another order from Lego...more Led's! Sorry for the picture quality but it's not so easy with the light conditions! I will try to make some better pictures! Quote
Hold0511 Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Looks amazing - the lights make it really pop! Soon it will be ready to be filled with all the junk Jawa's collect... Quote
Hunter003 Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Just WOW!!!!!!!.........Looks amazing bricksmarlin!! Quote
DWJ2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Outstanding effort all round there. Taken it too another level...like the MB touches to the roof as well. Quote
bricksmarlin Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 (edited) Thanks everybody! At the moment I'm doing the last little adjustments! I added the missing light in the front area at the winch and started with the final assembling! The plates in the front, upper area are currently not attached, because of further small modifications! https://www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?media/albums/sandcrawler-wip.6792/ Edited November 10, 2018 by bricksmarlin Quote
