I might eventually have a U-Boat pen and of course, men would be working on the boat after it's tour. Here is a Lego welder working on the conning tower...

Just 'finished' the boat and am currently updating the MOC page.

Enjoy.

Wow, the detail is amazing and the hull is so well made. I love the bridge it is really good. The dock is stunning, the whole MOC is just sooooooooooo detailed.

Easily the best LEGO U-boat I ever seen!

Wow! That's a work of beauty. Amazing job, congrats. I can't believe how many little details you put in there. Wish I could see it in person, great job again.

That is fantastic! Everything screams awesome. You really did a great job building this, the detail is perfect! Excellent work on this and the neat videos 'nebraska'. The welder was really neat. :classic:

nebraska, this is truly a stunning MOC. You've captured the details perfectly inside and out. It's clearly been an ongoing project for a long time, but well worth the effort. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh in a few weeks!:wub:

I hope you don't mind - I've taken the liberty of editing your first post with some more recent pictures from your flickr, so that anyone viewing the thread for the first time can see where it's going

Feel free to edit it yourself if you're not happy with what I've done.

One last update for my peeps at Eurobricks. The Chicago Brickworld 2011 official title is "U-595 in Drydock"

I'm a peep! :cry_happy:

I am looking forward to seeing this MOC in real life at BW11! *oh2*

Thank you to all who voted my boat for 'Best Sea Vessel'. The award will be displayed proudly on my shelf.

Congrats on winning the Best Sea Vessel Award! It was well deserved.

Again, great job Nebraska.

Here's a few photos that I had taken of the vessel at BW11.

The water mines were simple, yet effective being portrayed above, and I really like the design of the torpedoes. :classic:

I am one of the worst u-boat fanatics to ever exist but I can't find any lego u-boat or instructions for one. so if it is not too much trouble would you post some instructions for your boat, as well as a parts list with the colors for the parts. I'd be indebted to you.

It's a huge MOC (I've seen it in person) so I think you're asking a lot of nebraska! But I'll let him reply when he sees this. :classic:
