Posted March 29, 20186 yr Hi! Today I'd like to show my new model - Lego Technic Arctic Truck BIG Brother. It is scale copy of 60035 Arctic Truck. The Lego Technic model is powered by four buggy-motors with two RC units. The gear ratio is 1:3 from slow output. One M-motor is used for steering (auxiliary output). Dimensions: 42x22x29 cm, weight – 2.9 kg. Video: More photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/141718063@N06/albums/72157691916730662 Thanks for watching!
March 29, 20186 yr Wow, what a beast! Although I'm not to much of a winter person, I really like the evironment - great photos! Did you encounter any problems due to cold batteries?
March 29, 20186 yr Aw yes yes yes, this is a really cool MOC. Great choice of tires, it reproduces weel the original look of the 60035.
March 29, 20186 yr Those buggy motors really make this thing fly! I was imagining a slow crawling truck when I saw the power-puller tires and the bulk of the truck. Boy was I wrong! Excellent model and great attention to detail in recreating the city version.
March 29, 20186 yr Author Thanks for positive feedback :) 2 MajklSpajkl: I used lithium batteries, they work up to -30 without problems :)
March 30, 20186 yr Shame it requires 4x RC Buggy motors to power the beast. Great work though and it is an excellent video, looks so much fun to drive on ice. Love it!
March 30, 20186 yr Well, this is an easy one: the Power Puller wheels. 4 of those weigh a whooping 762 grams. Also, your axles have to be extra strong/heavy, to be able to handle these beasts. But they sure look perfect on this awesome truck. Bravo!
March 30, 20186 yr Wow. Love the way this monster drifts on the ice! Great model, performance, and video! @braker23 and the 2 RC units. Those are big and heavy as well.
