Well, can we do without a differential?

It is highly recommended, but keep in mind the differential doesn't have to be in between the wheels...

Wait, got an idea ?!

Cool project, and I wish I could join in, but I'm already doing too many other things... :sceptic:

I will follow the progress though, and add my thoughts, as I do want to contribute at least a little bit...

One question - has anyone decided what supercar in particular (if any) this is going to be based on? - it would be much easier if everyone was building the same thing...

What I've been up to :)

The stand is just for design. I still need to improove some things.

Looks clean!

So, in 23 wide and Suspension it's not possible to build the Diff in the middle. I got 2 powertrains now, shall I build in the diff, or does the "Frame-Guy" @Didumos69 build the diff in.

Think that's up to you.

@Aventador2004, I think the problem is the 11x5 frames that collide with the diff.

No. There is some space. The piece that Paul used I do not own, so I used a different one. I am going to use that piece through ldd.

Probably not, but I think there needs to be some kind of design structure - i.e, something a bit more specific than just "a supercar".

For instance, is the engine going to be in the front or rear?

Maybe reading what I had written before would be helpful:

Plan:

We build an all-wheel-drive, mid-engined supercar using these wheels. The total width of the car will be 23 studs, length as needed. It would feature a four-speed gearbox, butterfly-wing doors, and pop-up headlights.

Well, nobody said something bout the axle so im just gonna ask if its okay?

The spring IRL is longer than in the file, so it would need to be mounted higher. Other than that it looks fine, based off the LDD file.

Oh, sorry. It's great, but the spring is 6.5 and is in LDD.

@KikoTubeyou need to add thin 5L liftarms at the end holes of the A arms, else then compressed, the bottom balljoint will pop out the wheel hub

That's what I wanted to say too.

Thanks, forgot about that.

Ye, I knew about that, its a replica of a suspended spring, so i can work on the lxf without angled a arms. But I will mount them higher, since its a supercar, and we want it to be pretty flat i believe.

Thanks for the critism :classic:

Oops, don't know how I missed that... (though having to read 4 pages probably had something to do with it)

@KikoTube that front axle looks great, I think the different options for mounting the suspension will be useful for when the final model is put together, and it probably would be a good idea to add it to the rear axle too.
