ShireBrickz Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) Hi Community, I'm trying to resolve the construction of a pyramid type corner without using slopes, with each layer in two directions only stepping back either 1LDU or 0.5LDU whilst maintaining vertical alignment of face tile joints. Photos show what I'm trying to do but failing to keep the vertical tiles in alignment. Ahhh. This is doing my head in. Edited April 10, 2018 by ShireBrickz Spelling correction Quote

Nantucketdink Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 it seems like it is working. just cover the corner up with a long trim piece connected with hinges so the fit and finish looks good Quote
62Bricks Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 If you think about this a bit, you'll realize it's not possible to make the step in two directions while also keeping the tiles aligned. They are going to shift by the same interval as the steps. If your construction has steps in multiples of 20, then the offset will eventually "realign," but you will not be able to fill in the gaps.
