astoriabluelegos Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 To those of you in the U.S. (and MAYBE other places :-/ ) DWARVES MINE IS BACK! Or at least it WILL be! Oh they also have the new Castle Battlepacks that were previosly only available at LEGOLAND parks! :-D
Brickmaster Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Thanks for the news, knew it was coming, but still don't know when. I definately need to get my hands on this set the second time around :-$ Coming soon status is a good sign..
theestampede Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 did they raise the price or something? I seem to remember seeing it at target for 29. Dang I knew I should have gotten it then.
AFOL SF Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 did they raise the price or something? I seem to remember seeing it at target for 29. Dang I knew I should have gotten it then. When this set was available at the (3) Target stores in my area last year, I never saw it come down in price. It was selling for US$49.95. Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what is so special about this set? I would've picked 1 up then but the price turned me off. Pls educate me. AFOL SF

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what is so special about this set? I would've picked 1 up then but the price turned me off. Pls educate me.AFOL SF 7036 Dwarves' Mine is one of the best set in the Castle series. Firstly, this is the only set that comes with the maximum amount of dwarves which is 4. (If you buy the whole castle series, per set, there are only a total of 6 dwarves) :-D Secondly, the brown troll and the green orcs is a new addition to Castle series which is fun to play with. (The troll can grab the dwarves leg and slam) X-D Thirdly, one of the dwarf which is the dwarf king have the only golden winged helmet which can be found in this set. :-) Fourthly, tons of castle accessories to play and equip with. Dwarves shield are hard to find too. :-( Fifthly, after the building of this set, you will be able to appericate the beauty of this creation. Most importantly, it's fun to play with and for display. However, there are some flaws in it too. |-/ Lastly, please go read Hinckley's Review to find out more about this set ;-)
Legoman Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I never knew there was that much fuss for the set.its been out here for a while, and its still around here for $80.not sold out yet
Dadster Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I never knew there was that much fuss for the set.its been out here for a while, and its still around here for $80.not sold out yet The Dwarves Mine for $80.? Is that in Euros?! :-D And yes, to the poster that saw it for $29. Yes - You should have picked it up! That was an incredible price! It was (and will be again) a great set IMO.
natelite Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 i think you were mistaken. it never sold for $29. only the EF and RACERS sets were on sale during the black friday month for $29. the lowest the dwarves mine was on sale for was $45 during the week when target was giving 10% off lego castle sets. i have been saying this for months now, dwarves mine is being sold for $60 from april, up from $50. hoth is not coming back however.
Marshallmario Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Thanks for the heads up about the Mine coming back. I know it was forecast by Natelite as coming back, way to go, but it's nice to be sure. I think the set is all about the Dwarves in it, plus the fact that it came and went around here in about 1 week (Madison, WI.) Always want a set a little more once it's gone. Legoman, where is around here still available for $80.00? Are you really, really, really sure the Hoth set is gone? I never even saw it at retail. I think i thought about it once at the website and figured next month. How do you know for sure? Sorry, I really want you to be wrong on this one! *sing*
trooperdavinfelth Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Glad to see it's making a return journey! *sweet* I won't need one, but I may actually want one to expand my WIP castle/underground mine which will soon be increased in size with the Knight's Kingdom Exclusive Royal Castle(as soon as I get one off EBay :-P ) I think another Mine will suit me fine. Another great rhyme, how do I find the time? ;-)

natelite Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 legoman is in new zealand. so it should be NZD80. it wasn't a forecast. it was a fact. not from me but from a lego spokesperson. was it greg? i can't remember now who it was. and i know this first hand because i went to target after christmas for the after-christmas sale and saw a DM returned to the shelf. it rang up $60. spoke to the store manager and he said they will be in stock from april. the BF set however will not be discounted though. :-/ oh well, that's what you get for a popular set. good thing i got a few prior to that. :-D
simonwillems Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Here in Europe the Dwarf's mine has been available since the beginning of january.... 50 euros, quite steep. I didn't know it was not availabale in the US. I'm sorry for you guys across the pond ;-)
Mirandir Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Yeah here in sweden it is till sold for about USD $82 and has been on sale since 1 January. If I remember correctly there were a statement saying that the Dwarf's Mine would be back in the US but at a higher price than the previous "limited edition" release.

Out of curiosity... now that the Dwarf's Mine is being re-released in the US, will it still have the "Limited Edition" stamped outside the box? Will TLC use the same box or will this come out with a totally new box? Anyone, any information? AFOL SF

Anyone, any information?AFOL SF Yes I have the answer, the box will be the same minus the "Limited Edition" bit, so we pay $10.00 more for them to take off the Limited Edition. :-/ Still a great set, and WAY better deal then off Ebay! :-| As to those commenting about the Hoth Base, I talked to a Lego REP and she said that SO many people have called about that set that there is a fairly good chance IT'LL COME BACK TOO! :-D
