I know it's not "at the big screen" but I'll put it in here anyway.

I recently bought the new Shrek 3D DVD, which is a two-disc set of the original Shrek film and a new short film, Shrek 3D. I believe the 3D one was originally shown in Universal Studios, but I haven't been there.

Firstly, I think it's a bit of a con that you have to buy the orginal Shrek to get Shrek 3D, since I already have the original on DVD. But now on to the short film itself.

The actual short film is very good, as you would expect, with lots of funny moments. But the problem comes when you watch it in 3D. I chose to watch it in 2D mode instead since the glasses make the picture all blue an red, and some bits just double-up instead of sticking out of the screen, making it not very nice to watch.

So I would say only get this if you either don't already have the original Shrek or are really desperate to see this, as the short film is very good. Just don't watch it in 3D though, since it's pretty poor

I will probably wait till the new shrek film is out on DVD and then maybe I can get them together. I would like to go and see this one as the trailers look really good so I hope to.

I hope I will enjoy it as much as the first one !

Was is really weird is that hollywood seems to produce only 3D cartoons now. Do you think we will still have good old 2D cartoons to watch on theatre ?
