Posted March 17, 200816 yr The idea was to make a Bionicle Vigenette. For a contest on BZPower. Three Makuta. An arm like creature, an insectiod, and a humanoid. All gang up on a Matoran, tear off his leg, and kill him. His personal belongings are robbed, and his house is burned to barely recognizable. The three Makuta soon come to a disagreement as to who gets to devour the dead body. They now fight over will get recieve their meal. March 17, 200816 yr I definitly think a bit more work to be needed, especially in the photographical aspect. By the way, ever heard of eurobricks being an 18+ forum ?

Just because someone is on BZP doesn't mean they're under 18, I've seen a lot of 18+ on there. And I thought that was more of a guideline than a rule. :-P Edited March 17, 200816 yr by Darth Bionics
March 17, 200816 yr And I thought that was more of a guideline than a rule. :-PNo, it's a rule that is not harshly enforced.
March 19, 200816 yr No, it's a rule that is not harshly enforced. If sigs like KimT's are allowed I'm pretty sure that it is obviously a 18+ website. Course if you have things like that on a website, the rule might need to be enforced a bit more.

March 19, 200816 yr Yeah, separate pics of each part to the overall model would help. I'm trying, really trying to get a grasp on what's going on... but there's too many colors in use... it's hard to define where one thing ends and another starts... in a bad way, not a Forrest Gump way. I do give kudos on the fact you A. Actually tried to tell a story and B. Actually tried to build an actual structure for that contest. Alot of the other kiddies just tossed Technic parts into a wood chipper and shot it at their mocs. But yeah, too many colors. I know it might seem hard to do, but practice making guys out of no more than 2 colors. Pretend that the "core" of your moc is a guy who's 1 color, and that the second color is his armor.
March 19, 200816 yr That's currently under review. ;-) In it's defense, it is for a good cause. I personally don't have a problem with it ;-) X-D but other people might.
March 19, 200816 yr I personally don't have a problem with it nope neither do i :-P anyway OT: nice MOC
March 19, 200816 yr That's currently under review. ;-) In it's defense, it is for a good cause. Good cause, bleah. That sig needs to die. I mean, come on, this isn't a porn site! :-X Oh, and interesting diorama, UFO. Honestly though, it just seems way too mishmeshed colorwise to really impress me. Good try, though. ;-)
March 19, 200816 yr Good cause, bleah. That sig needs to die. I mean, come on, this isn't a porn site! :-X In defense of art: Nudity does not porn make. If so, we'd have to destroy most of the great Greco-Roman sculptures, censor so many beautiful Renaissance paintings, and burn so very many books of artistic photography. As for the MOC, try standardizing your colours. Then get back to me. It's too messy, and I'm so very lost.
March 20, 200816 yr In defense of art: Nudity does not porn make. If so, we'd have to destroy most of the great Greco-Roman sculptures, censor so many beautiful Renaissance paintings, and burn so very many books of artistic photography. Ah yes, the classic excuse. Seriously, I don't consider nude photos art, and statues are different, as they are not actual people subjecting themselves to the public. And you know, the greeks and romans had a pretty sex filled culture that should be at least partly frowned on today, despite all their good qualities. Yes, nude does not porn make, but only in certain cases. Seriously, Kimt has a sig that will be seen in absolutely every topic he posts in, and while it may not be as bad as it could be, it still isn't exactly fitting in a site where we talk about plastic building blocks. *wacko*
March 20, 200816 yr Ah yes, the classic excuse.I don't know much about art, but I do know that discussing something completely off topic in someone's MOC topic is pretty darn rude. Please stop.
March 21, 200816 yr Will do. Sorry UFO, guess I got carried away again. :-/ Now, anyway, I think you were on to something with your MOC, but it needs a little more work put into it. I think the main problem, besides the color scheme, is that you tried too hard to make a complex body. Not that it's a bad thing to do that (I try to as well), but it seems a bit too mishmeshed. I think it would be better to take off some of that armor and go for a more simple design. Also, It would be best to work a bit more on the arms and make those more unique. Finally, it'd be cool if you worked more on your diorama. Right now it just seems like two MOC's standing on a baseplate. But, you have talent, that's for sure, and I'd really like to see a new version, even if it's not for a contest. ;-)
