Ramses25 Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 (edited) Hi ! Here is my latest creation, a small one : the Imperial Patrol Speeder from the last Star Wars movie : Solo. The aim was to build a narrower speeder than the battlepack one. Also, I made it to be quite swooshable, with more details and able to fit a minifig. Here is some renders of the side and rear. I just have to wait for a small Bricklink order to show you what it looks like in real bricks ! Edited May 29, 2018 by Ramses25 Quote
DrMuttonchops Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Looks great, you did an excellent job! You captured the scale better then the official set, which is pretty beefy. How does the pilot fit in? Are the minifig neck brackets to stabilize the speeder? I'm looking forward to seeing it in real bricks! :) Quote
wookieejedi Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Nice design! It's always awesome to see high quality smaller scale models that anyone could build on a small budget :) Quote
Ramses25 Posted May 30, 2018 Author Posted May 30, 2018 Thank you a lot 6 hours ago, DrMuttonchops said: How does the pilot fit in? Are the minifig neck brackets to stabilize the speeder? Actually the pilot is hold by this part :https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=93095&name=Panel 1 x 2 x 1 with Rounded Corners and Center Divider&category=[Panel]#T=S&C=11&O={"color":"11","iconly":0} And the neck brackets are here to simulate the pedal Quote
stormtroopercaptain Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Very nice. I just went to see the movie. I do think the official version was pretty good it was a little wide and maybe a stud or two long. Can’t wait to how it looks in real bricks. I also may have to try my hand At this. How did you do the internal structure? Quote

That's perfect for holding the pilot. And great thought on the pedals, man! Quote
Calanon Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Great moc, much more reasonable scale than the battlepack one! Not personally a massive fan of the pedals (mostly because minifigs can't reach them at all), however it is nice attention to detail. The screwdriver element for the blaster is really nice. Quote
Forresto Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 I really would to build this as its quite excellent. When you build it with physical bricks could you take a couple pics showing off its internal structure for reverse engineering? Quote
Ramses25 Posted June 4, 2018 Author Posted June 4, 2018 (edited) Hi ! Thanks for your comments Here is the model in real bricks ! For the internal structure, don't worry, I will share the LDD file soon Edited June 4, 2018 by Ramses25 Quote
stormtroopercaptain Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Yea this looks really great. I did not hate the version in the battle pack but this blows it out of the water. Quote
Ramses25 Posted June 5, 2018 Author Posted June 5, 2018 Thank you a lot Here is the .lxf file : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1nvD8ma_ExBUka066iSmKQAH2D7_hdy3C Don't hesitate to build some of them for your imperial army ! And if you do so, don't hesitate to share it on this topic ! Personally, I plan to build another one Quote

LegoAcklay Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Nice! Clever ways of making the triangle slope. Quote
Calanon Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Looking good! I'd still recommend removing the brackets or doing something else, they're pretty far forward and stand out a lot to me. It's much nicer in the brick than the official set though. Quote
Cylo Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Great design although I'm not sure if it's like this is the movie though Quote
