Any good way to modify 7259 ARC 170?

Hi everyone,

I have a ARC 170 7259 set. I think the nose, tail cannon, main cannons and wings can be more polished like 8088 set. I saw this post about the 7259 mod but all pictures are gone now: 

 

Does anyone have some good ideas? I'm a new lego fan and  haven't never modded any set so far.

Hi JS_F, and welcome to Eurobricks.  Might I suggest you introduce yourself here?
