As a Space nut, all I care about is what Classic Space throwback, if any, we're gonna get.

A Classic-style moon base would be cool, or a rover, or maybe a spaceship in 1981 colors.

Now you're talking!

Oooooo did your secret circle give you permission? How nice.

So, I rewatched the trailer tonight, and noticed something. It was in the scene where Sweet Mayhem and her pod are descending into the bunker area, right before she fights Wyldstyle. You can barely make out what looks like some sort of mechanical spider machine, with what I'm pretty sure was Metalbeard's head/treasure chest combination attached to it.

I think this might be another potential set!

Both Ninjago City and Ninjago City Docks seem to be quite popular. Do you think there's a chance that we might get one or more of the settings of this movie as modular-like D2C sets as well?

Here's hoping! I'd love an Apocalypseburg Modular.

I said what I meant. Take that as you will.

I've updated my list. I will say that we are getting at least twenty TLM2 sets in the winter.

Say what?

20 sets in the first wave alone? *huh*

Does this include the CMF line?

I know I'm definitely going to be getting Sweet Mayhem's Systar Starship set:  Not only is this, to my knowledge, one of the first sets outside a designated "girl" line to include a minidoll (more on said minidoll in a bit), but the overall shape of the spaceship has a classic Buck Rodgers/Flash Gordon vibe to it, and I grew up with those kind of space tales.

As for Sweet Mayhem herself:  Her armor/helmet REALLY reminds me of the hardsuits from this old cyberpunk anime series I used to watch back in the late 1990's/early 2000's called Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, although that crest on the top of the helmet also is reminiscent of Cliff Secord's helmet from The Rocketeer (which would have been roughly contemporary with the Bublegum Crisis anime series), so there's a lot of cool references in the overall design of the set (still kinda laughing over the "sticker sheet" banner trailing behind the ship, though:  I have a small bin that's absolutely full of unused sticker sheets from both Friends & regular System sets )

I don't think I like this. That sounds like it's going make this theme seem overdone. I thought they did that with TLBM by just having too much, I feel the sets may become mediocre as a result. I like the Starship set but the other two are eh. I hope for the best though, there is sure to be some greatness in this theme.

Oh yeah, it's totally that crest and teardrop shape that are evoking that "Raypunk" spacecraft vibe, something I too was naturally beyond thrilled with!

Wow. At this point I'm worried about overkill a la TLBM, but there should be something to appeal to all of us within that *enormous* wave.

@Digger of Bricks YES!  Quite so! (and awesome pics, BTW!)

However, like I said before, Sweet Mayhem's power armor/spacesuit looks like it came straight from a 90's cyberpunk Anime series, like this one:

Yay, another BGC fan on Eurobricks! I remember getting the VHS tapes in the early 90's and now I have it on Blu Ray. Cyberpunk + transforming motorcycles; what's not to love?

Hopefully something for everyone! Including a yellow house spaceship for me.

Well, there's plenty more from where that came from...

For one, those "ears" on Sweet Mayhem's helmet make that connection pretty apparent. :classic:
