And finally! my entry, for the Lore Challenge! I hope, i can still participate.

I wasn't able, to entr, the challenge, with myfirst idea, with a build, so I made a "plan B" and write a poen, about the lore.

First of all, this isn't my native lanuage, I cant write, first time creating a poem, and also first time creating an english poem. Oh, and i joined the guilds, during Raavages, so, don't expect anything, from me :D

Here goes:

" It was a rainy thursday, in the Scarlets Scars inn. Everybody was busy, with their drinks. The bard decided, to end the sadness, jumped on top of a table, and while strumming his lute,he started the song:

Before known time, long ages ago
The land saw battles, from sand to snow.
Clan againts clan,
Race againts race,
The bodies of men, feed flocks of crow.

They fought againts beasts, orcs and the dead,
Darkess fell, it was good to be bad.
To unite the land,
And make the war end.
A plan came, so no one will be sad.

Wisest of them, both women and men,
Form a council, to gave peace to them.
Green Avalonia,
Snowy Mitgardia,
Dark Noctornus, Kaliphlin on sand.

A fair king was elected, to rule,
In Cedricia, the kingdoms jewel.
Trading opened,
Conflicts ended.
The four guilds learned, how not to be cruel.

Historica found peace, for ages
But darkness came, from evil mages.
Revolword was his name,
Uprising was his game.
Broke the ancient law of sages.

Land was torn, by angry regiments,
Victor used, the Helm of Elements.
But heroes ride,
To stop the tide.
And save Historicas settlements.

The bard stopped, to take a sip of beer, from a nerby mug...

But the brave guild members couldn't rest,
From every corner rose new threats.
Algus, Drow, Ancient King,
They came to aid one thing.
A warlord, named Raavage, from the East.

Joining together, the guilds were strong,
But only with a heir, they lasted long.
Raavage took his last breath,
The guilds found Queen Ylspheth!
She sits on the throne, where she belongs.

What the next chapter brings, no one knows,
Only one thing remains, what all knows:
Clan againts clan,
Race againts race.
Thats how Guilds of Historica goes...

Not only is that good, but it's amazing that you did it in a non-native language!  I would not be able to do that in German (my second language).  I really like the creative idea and think it turned out wonderfully!

Ooh, a poem!  Now I'm mad at me for not thinking of that.   Really nice job, especially for a second language.  One thing I may suggest - against is spelled against, not againts.

If I join, it doesn't matter where my sigfig is from, they will be living and building in Nocturnus.  Is that allowed?  Or maybe some other guild will end up with a lot of Nocturnus-inspired architecture...

Yes, that is fine! You just need to join a guild for titular purposes: to accrue points for a guild and to have a side for Challenges, and such things. But your character could in theory live or travel or spend all of his or her time elsewhere. So you could be a member of Kaliphlin, but build only in Nocty, or a member of Mitgardia, Avalonia, or Varlyrio but build only in Nocty.

But really, Nocty-type architecture could be seen in many places, especially western Varlyrio, northeastern Kali, or various places in western Avalonia (i.e. Enchanted Forest or Mystic Isles).

Your Challenge Builds would have to be in the Guild to which you belong.  The easiest would to be to locate in a Guild adjacent Nocturnus, and you can say you live on the border between the two.  You cannot be in Avalonia, and then complete a Challenge build in Nocturnus and have it count unless that would somehow be relevant (Show your character involved in intrigue across Historica, etc.)

OK, thanks.  I think I will join Varlyrio, since there is more opportunity to shape the look and feel of the region.  It could also make for an interesting backstory.

Now I will have to plan out my introduction.

I was more speaking for freebuilds, since Challenge builds generally have their own rules, but you are correct.

What will happenwith Noctornus? I saw four guilds new bookIII topic ,already. it will be closed for the next chapter? Can we still create freebuilds, inside Noctornus?

Nocturnus still exists, obviously, but it is no longer a playable guild. It is a lawless, chaotic mess in the east that your character could visit at his peril...

But yes, you could still build something there, just like you could build something in Varlyrio, Kaliphlin, or Mitgardia, despite being an Avalonian. You just cannot choose to live there anymore.

Hi everybody!  My name is Aaron, and I am brand new to the forums, having just heard about GoH from a member of my local LUG.  I have been lurking for a while now trying to get caught up on what this is all about.  You've all done a awesome job with the world building.  Historica looks like a very fun project with an enjoyable and laid back atmosphere.  Plus I've seen a ton of great builds.  Thanks to all of you for the inspiration.  I'm hooked and it seems my timing lines up perfectly with the start of a new chapter.

About me: I started collecting Lego as a child in the early 80's.  Ever since then I loved building custom creations, mostly space and castle themes.  Then my 20's and Lego time went into decline.  I still picked up a few sets here and there, but the Legos were mainly in the closet for many years.  Recently I've been looking for a new creative outlet, so I dusted off the Legos, joined a local LUG, and here I am.

I just wanted to introduce myself before setting off to Mitgardia as Arun.

The anticipation of starting a new book and waiting eagerly to see what loose ends from the final of book II the leadership will start to tug...?

Parzival is a half-elf from Avalonia. Parzival is in the beginning of the tale an adventurer in the search of his origins and heritage. Where he's from and his relation to Avalonia is unclear at the start of his tale.

Parzivals journey starts in Kaliphlin as a slave to the merchant called Iron fist. Parzival has a memory loss because of a magic spell of some sort. He doesn’t know his true name yet and is called Z. The other slaves also have memory loss. The merchant has many different slaves that he is going to sell at a market in Mophet as gladiators in Mophet, mineworkers in Qarkyr or other depending on the buyer’s needs and interests.

This is the crew of slaves that Parzival has teamed up with.
They all have memory loss inflicted to them by a magic spell.
Until they have regained their memory they have got nick names (from the left):
1. Right eye (man, thief)
2. Hammer (man, warrior)
3. Z (first name Parzival, half-elf, druid)
4. Pointy (elv, rouge)
5. Hooves (faun, mage)
6. Left eye (man, warrior)

I have a rough idea of Parzival’s story. But I will build it up as I go. I'm new to this and also new to the forum, so be gentle ;).

Not sure if @TitusV has already asked this or started recruiting, but for safety:

Just like every year, this year there is the mega awesome Brick Mania Antwerp (which takes place in Antwerp, Belgium, Europe).

There will be an awesome Pirates display and I am sure Titus wants to beat us making an even more awesome Castle (GoH) display.

It is also the perfect chance to meet some notorious Castle & Pirate builders!

Will attend for sure: @Maxim I, @TitusV, @Sebeus I, @kabel, @Faladrin, @Legostone, @Captain Green Hair, @Exetrius, @Captain Braunsfeld and many more :)

Date: the weekend of the 25th November.

For more information or signing up: pm me

I had not yet started the public mass recruitment, but yes please!

We don't want to look less cool than those pesky pirates, so please come over and join the castle section

If you're justa tiny bit interested, let me know!

Does someone mind catching me up?

Also, what’s happened to Vlad while I’ve been awol?

Well, Book II is finally here, resulting in a sudden burst of activity (as you may have noticed). If you want to read up on how we defeated Ravaage, you can do so here. Aside from that, Nocturnus is no longer one of the four 'core guilds', being swapped out for Varlyrio. Of course, you can still build in the region and Shadowmere is still an existing place, one just can't sign up for them anymore.

I'm not completely sure what happened to our favoured vampire, though I think he made an appearance in multiple Ch V entries! Maybe some of your excellent builds could show us how he's doing/has been doing since we last heard of him?
