David Jones currently has the cafe corner discounted and it has been in the stores since pre christmas. Depending on how well sales went, it may decide if we the green grocer in DJ stores. DJ is the only store that i believe will stock the green grocer considering it had been the only one to stock the CC so far. There is a couple of online stores but none have it stocked yet and shipping would be for free on one (bricknet) and about $5 on the other (bttw). Edited March 22, 2008 by robbo Quote
Svelte Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 as robbo says, Cafe Corner only came out a month or two before Xmas at DJs, so even if they do sell Green Grocer here, it may take a while before it arrives. personally I'm not sure if they will sell it since it's been reduced to clearance, which is generally not a sign that it sold that well. i think the $250 price is just too high for australian consumers (unless it's Star Wars, which seems to be in a category all of its own). the big technic bulldozer at the same price point was also on clearance at kmart and toys r us. sadly this discourages retailers from ordering the larger sets in future. lego has yet to find the right balance of prices. something like the king's castle siege was only really on shelves for two or three months before Xmas before it vanished completely ($150), and from what i've seen the police station seems to be selling well ($140). Even with the standard shipping rate you would have been able to get it well under the current retail price. I was lucky enough to get in early for mine and it arrived at my door within a week (standard shipping, i must have just scraped in with their shipping run). I do hope the other guys who ordered the GG at this price has had it arrive by now. Quote

(probable depends where you live though but i still used the flatrate $5 and it still came fast *sweet* ) I will definatly buy more stuff from them soon :'-) Quote
