LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Hello guys, a new month is arrived with a new locomotive of the European tour ...time of a ride in Holland... ...with the NS 6500! The NS Class 6400 is a type of 4 axle diesel-electric freight locomotive. 120 (numbered 6401-6520) were built by MAK and ABB between 1988 and 1994 for Nederlandse Spoorwegen. I wanted to replicate the locomotive numbered 6500 with the yellow/gray colors because is the livery a love the most! The locomotive now keeps company to the younger sister NS 345 I've wrapped the windscreens with yellow stickers because the pieces do not exist, creating a punched adhesive to apply, and I'm quite satisfied with the final result As usual the locomotive is equipped with lights and switches I'm planning to use these two Dutch locomotives for the coils and torpedo wagons waiting to build a yard for steel production (one day...) Now enjoy the pictures ...and see you next month in another European country! ...to be continued... Quote
Paperinik77pk Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 (edited) High quality and nice choice as always - it is a pleasure to watch! Another good shot! P.s. The big wagon reminds me a cement mixer (if I remember well) I had when I was a kid - Lima H0 - I hated it because I could not put all wheels on track!!! It derailed easily beceuse we had a too tight curve radius!!! Edited June 24, 2018 by Paperinik77pk Quote

Kintobor Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Really loving the livery of the engine. The flatbeds are nice too! I'm particularly smitten with the switcher, though. It's quite cute! Quote

harnbak Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 I immediately recognise these locs from my home country. Good work, very realistic. You have a good eye for proportions and details and can pick interesting subjects. Keep on :-) Quote

I searched it yesterday on an old Lima Catalog - it was a "steel mixer"!!! Quote
Dread Pirate Rob Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Beautifully true to prototype, but retains LEGO charm. Love it! Quote
Asper Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Wonderful - as always. I'm looking forward to the next stop on your tour. Quote

Man with a hat Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Great work again. It is a perfect match with the real one. I am not a fan of an overload of stickers. Usually they are very visible... But you managed to do a really great job on the window. At first I didn't notice them all. (Although I should have known they are not available in yellow) Quote
Sven J Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Beautiful, like all of your models. And indeed, your sticker solution is really skillful! Bricked1980 Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 This looks fantastic. Love the colour scheme and the similarity to the real loco in your photograph is very accurate indeed. I also really like the small engine 345 in the fourth pic as well. Quote

zephyr1934 Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Wow! You never cease to amaze with your builds. As is the norm of your high bar, the locomotive is stellar, and this time around the coiled steel is simple but brilliant. Quote
