We've our first look at Ocean Master (sans cape) on the usual place

Pretty good looking figure I must say. The only thing I dislike are the plain black legs but there are suitable leg pieces available to create a little bit more detail so I am not too bothered by this.

Nice, but unprinted legs are shame.

Not really. There is a minifigure called Karai that has the perfect legs for this figure so its just a matter of an easy swap to add a bit of detail :)

I don't do that.

Well, I'm not gonna get the set either.

It's a pretty perfect figure, just needs red eyes is all.

Yeah those silver parts are on the sides of his legs anyway. The animated movies just over-detail the figures.

I like Ocean Master but I wish we had gotten a movie based one...

I was too but honestly this figure has enough detail to go with the movie figures in my opinion. Exact same colors, but only missing the red eyes.

I know it's accurate, I just don't like how it looks on the minifigure.

I mean it's your opinion and that's fine, but (and especially when it comes to comic based sets) the designs are a lot less simpler, and usually the legs of a comic character don't have enough special detail for LEGO to bother making a new print for them. If every character had to have leg printing, that would cost them a lot of money to produce them, so it's generally easier to use plain legs instead

I’m glad to see a comics based fig over a movie one, as it will fit in better with the rest. Don’t get me wrong, I intend to get Mera, and if the only Shazam fig we see is movie based, I’m still getting it.

I definitely would like to see his other face. Is it neutral? Evil smirk? Red goggle-like details like Killer Moth had on one side? The possibilities are endless, if you consider something around six or seven possibilities as endless.

There is a huge story developing right now, as it was revealed Wonder Wonder 1984 wil reboot the DCCU.

But not only that, this decision also affects Shazam as they are going to reshoot most of the third act of the movie, starting next week (it seems it was too late for Aquaman to get reshoots)

What if LEGO is producing sets based on scenes that will be removed from the movie?  *oh2*

That was just a rumor that was proven false already

He’s yelling/roaring. Looks fitting.

I've seen the yelling face (and agree, it looks great for battle cries), but I've only seen that face. Have there been pics of the face side that isn't yelling?

Not yet, but I’m hoping they do red eyes for the other side, like how they did Killer Moth, just to be comic-accurate. IMO I think its a pretty good minifig for a $20 set, heres hoping the set actually has a good build to make it worth buying.

Update: Theres a VERY blurry picture of the minifig floating around, but he appears to have red eyes and a closed mouth. You know what, I take it back, Ocean Master alone is a good reason to buy this set.

Dumb joke (and crappy photoshop) aside, the Ocean Master we're getting is pretty close to the Ocean Master in the movie, minus the extra details these movies always add to every last surface on the fig. While it's not a 100% perfect match, I bet the preliminary designs were shown to the animation studio before the physical figure's design was 100% set in stone.

I’ll check your link out later, thanks!

hat kind of cape does Ocean Master have in the animation, is it spiked or regular, I’m going to look through existing new soft capes to find a match or close enough.

Sorry, that wasn't supposed to be a text link. It accidentally caught on the picture's url info, somehow.

I think it's just a regular flat cape.
