I think Lego is done with JL sets, as sad as it is it’s over for those because the flop the 2018 ones were. However I believe Lego can still pull JL sets off, if they actually put time and effort into them. I feel like the 2018 JL sets were kinda rushed and just had “never before seen” characters like killer frost and firestorm. But those 2015 “Lego Batman 3” sets were what I think the best DC wave we have ever gotten. Those characters were very very well done. And I also feel like “Lego dc supervillians” has some awesome character designs, for example I am a huge fan of the doomsday, bizzaro, green lantern (Simon bazz) and the green arrow minifigures from that game. And I would pay extra to get them in a 2020 sets (but I highly doubt it would happen). I think what they are doing is giving us a build that is just a random thing from the back of their heads (it's a helicopter most of the time) with a few desirable minifigs so that people will buy them. Just now, The Pearson said: Do you want it just for Shazam? Yep ??

Yep ?? Shazam will be released in a promotional poly bag probably later this year, identical to the one in the set except with hair instead of a hood. Alternatively, you can order it from Bricklink or eBay. I do not own the set, but it does look rather fun.

The closest one is around 3hrs away depending on traffic. i will buy the torso from brick link (I will replace the head, hair and legs myself) thanks for your help

shadefoundry Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 So I was thinking, with DC recently reviving Young Justice what are the odds of us seeing some of the show's important characters show up in sets? Personally I think it'd be nice to see more show-specific characters like Tigress and Miss Martian appearing as throw-ins similar to how Shazam showed up in this wave of Batman sets, or how Spider-Man 2099 was in that one Spider-Man set.

They will most likely be in either the winter sets or next years January sets, but it's not likely
LegoFjotten Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Zebra Batman! Perfect SDCC exclusive - a minifig I have zero interested in.
Brick Cucumber Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 SDCC figure leaked. I honestly don't care for it, we've gotten much better versions of this figure from customizers in the past (Although that also might have been Con exclusives *Cough* *Cough* Christo...) This is a good Con exclusive, not a separate version of the Batman character, but just a deep cut suit from way back in his publication history.
RedHoodPug Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Dang it, I want it. With any luck I will be in the minority and it won’t get an absolutely hideous secondary value *satire*
JosiahJVL Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 I am really hopping for new dc sets to be shown at comic con this year. I feel like all the hype around young justice would be a great chance to bring back justice league sets with younger heroes such as aqua lad, kid flash, miss martian, superboy and maybe a new nightwing (we haven’t seen him in a while). I think it’s be a great mix up and appeal to younger audiences due to having young justice characters. And also, another great way to bring back the justice league is using inspiration from Lego dc super villains. That game was great and I personally loved it. And also notice how the 2015 sets were kinda mirrored the LB3 video game. That would be perfect for like 6-7 sets and each set coming with a different member of the crime syndicate along with new members of the justice league. Like hawk girl and atom. Like seriously I think this is a great idea how has Lego not come up with this already?

They most likely will, but we can't be a 100% certain that it's going to be a 2020 set There's still that upcoming Batmobile D2C which would make perfect sense to be revealed at SDCC, given the emphasis on Batsy's 80th anniversary and how well that reveal would fit the alleged release date.
Robert8 Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Does this really exist in Batman comics or is TLG just making stuff up at this point? I'm using all the power of my imagination and I can't think for a single reason Batman would need this Also, I can't imagine Batman asking Alfred to make a zebra-themed Batsuit hahahaha

TheBatstan Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 (edited) Huh, looks like this year broke the trend of having CW DC characters as the exclusive minifigures since 2015. I'm just glad it wasn't a minifigure that would drive me insane if it was SDCC exclusive like a movie Shazam or even worse, First Appearance Batman. This is easily skippable for me, especially since it was based on a one-off story from Batman's weird Silver Age days in the 50s. Though this would fit perfectly with the Zebra Man figure from The Lego Batman Movie sets. Edited July 8, 2019 by MisterBatfleck

Stormfury Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 I was thinking that this year SDCC exclusive will be the CW Constantine. I’m really glad that it isn’t. Btw what do you guys think, will we get a set for the upcoming Joker movie?

I’m gonna say most likely not, but they may try to put a similarly styled Joker in one of the regular sets to coincide with it, like they usually do
BaneShake Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 On the one hand, I'm really glad it's only an obscure Batman variant and not a desirable new character like they tend to do. On the other hand, I'm also the kind of weirdo who would really want a Zebra Batman in the first place. Weird question, why did they skip arm printing on him?

We will get a set like the venom mech set which had Venom movie figures and into the spider verse figures. maybe there will be a polybag like they are doing for Shazam movie

Do other Comic Con exclusives have arm printing? I allways felt like they were done with much less effort compared to cmfs or the highlights we get in some sets (like Tlbm Poison Ivy compared to the the ps4 Spiderman). Except Deadpool duck i didn't like any of them very much. Zebra Batman is in my opinion a poor choice, because he would really need the printing.
julesvincent Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 The only strange thing with the missing arm print is that TLBM's Zebra Man got arm printing. They just could've used the arms they already have.
Bricky Dee Williams Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 (edited) Um, has anyone checked out the new VIP Rewards Center yet? The LEGO Batpod model that you could win by lottery in 2015 was “brought out of the archives” and made available today for 15,000 points using the updated point system!! It’s now sold out. That’s crazy! Edited July 11, 2019 by Aegis2000
