Darth Jar Jar Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Same issue as the other topic. If this is merely a round-up of several lists of the top 4 characters, then why make a topic on it instead of just posting it in the "Future Star Wars Sets"? Becuase that has sets in and then we would have to think off a set to put them in you do know we are lazy right? Quote

This topic has nothing to do with sets but yes the other topic does. Also if you did not look at a post on the last page I changed it so you can now post at least seven characters. Quote
gerth6000 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 3. Cantina Band Members-- We can all speculate about a future Mos Eisley set, but any cantina is only as good as the entertainment. This would be a fantastic set of four, each one with a different brick-built instrument. C'mon Lego! IIRC, the Cantina Band are just Biths in holograms. The proper Band is Max Rebo's band in Jabba's Palace. Which I would really love to see. At least I want Max Rebo, as I need an Ortolan minifigure. Quote
KimT Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 @commanderneyo - here's my proposal: This topic stays as the "Wanted Star Wars Characters" and the vehicle topic gets merged with the "Future Star Wars Sets" That way we'll have one for sets/vehicles and one for characters. Does that sound fair? Quote

Praiter Yed Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Ask away Thank You. Each year it must get harder and harder for the boffins at Lego HQ to think up new 1 in 10,000 minifig promos. Why not help them out with your ideas? I'm not going to keep banging-on about my 'dream' chrome gold C-3PO with a chrome silver right leg (oops, I just did). Instead I'm going to go for a Chrome Silver Protocol Droid. BTW your ideas don't have to be chrome. Quote

I apologise for my bad humour and ignorance. No worries, it's understandable since you didn't know the backstory. When I actually first saw this pink astromech in the CW movie I immediately fell in love with it. After a bit of researching, I was really touched on the story behind it. That is actually one of the main reasons why I wanted TLG to release this astromech fig. It's a good way to commemorate the young girl to which R2-KT is dedicated. Maybe they could even sell these figs and all proceeds can go to a cancer fund or charity. I'm pretty sure many fans would love to have this special minifig and at the same time help in a good cause. EDIT: Just found out that they even have a website for R2-KT --> r2kt.com Truly inspiring and noble cause. I think this is one way in which TLG can involve FOLs in contributing something to the community. Edited October 15, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote

Having kids myself, I find anything like this very upsetting, it's a parents worst nightmare. It would be a fantastic if TLG were to release this figure, but as a general release not limited. I'm sure even if just a percentage of profits were donated to charity it would generate a huge amount of funds. I doubt that the purchase of such an item for charitable reasons would be limited to just FOLs or SW fans. Quote

I think it would work well the way Hasbro sold their figure: Exclusive promo item that you can buy (sort of like the Chrometrooper, but more exclusive like the Collectible Minifigs) and first sold at big conventions. They could make a pretty good profit selling them at BrickCon, ComicCon, Brickworld, etc. Then give them away at LEGO Star Wars Weekend in LLC so I can get one free. The only thing is that if they sell it, it'll have to be a magnet, keychain, or be included with a ship or locale in order to avoid infringing on Hasbro's Star Wars Action Figure license. Quote

master windu 7495 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) simple enough, this is 1)Zuckuss 2)4-LOM 3)AT-RT Driver(Non CW) 4)R2-KT All you need is to hear the backstory behind this character. If you read the backstory, you should agree that R2-KT should be made as a promo minifg that appears in random 2011 BPs worldwide(as with chrome vader) and any sets purchased with this inside, a fraction of the sale price goes towards cancer research and they should make 100,000 of them rather than the usual 10,000 for promo minifigs, as this one would be for a good cause. legolandia Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) Oh this is my favourite thread of all since I only collect the Lego SW minifigures. I must admit I wish that Lego release as many as possible minifigs through the years however I have a soft spot for the bith band and the different variants of clones troopers (uniforms). One other thing I wish as well is that Lego stops releasing as many variants of Han Solo and Luke and concentrate more on the rest. Edited October 15, 2010 by legolandia Quote
