the only problem with cloners would be a good set that could incorporate them into.

and they would be fairly expensive and might end up silly looking.

They looked pretty good in the video games. I guess they'd probably have heads like the ones on the PoP ostriches.

I quickly skimmed through this topic and saw a lot of great ideas, but I was surprised to see so few mentions of Republic Commandos from the game Star Wars: Republic Commando. It is truly a great game.

obviously you haven't heard the rumor of them appearing in the clone wars series. so there is still a good chance.

Indeed, I gazed at my screen for quite a while because of that trailer!

I loved the game and I hope Delta Squad will remain the same in the show. I'm hoping for minifigures from LEGO and action figures from Hasbro from these commandos!

That being said, how about more figures and sets from The Force Unleashed (1,2 or later on 3)? I'd like to see some figures of special troops like the Saber Guard, Shadow Guard or Sith Acolyte. (Or even the Terror Droid/Troop. They could use the old Grievous head in metallic silver for that.) And since Starkiller has many outfits, I'd like to see the best of them aswell. (The experimental Jedi armour gets my vote )

EDIT: Please LEGO (or Lucasfilms or Hasbro) keep Delta squad with blank heads. Their helmets are their real faces, not some generic clone head with funky hairdo.

I would love to see the cantina band (Bith) from A New Hope. It would double quite easily into any Alien abduction MOC as well. Commence the probing

A Max Rebo would be most loved as well though.

You know, I would quite happily settle for all these goodies and a Greedo in a larger Mos Eisley set

I wish TLG had included a Bith in the Cantina set, then we could have looked forward to a remake around know.

Bith are one species I wouldn't mind having whatever exagerrated molded head with big eyes that TLG chooses to use- the 'real' one has them already, anyway.

Agreed. Boushh is a critical part of RotJ, and we don't have him/her yet.

Agree with all of those except Jango; TLG would just give him the new Mando gear, and personally I don't like it. I'd love to get a Garindan or Greedo, though.

That prelim picture of Sugi that had the big white head with big eyes. That reminded me of a Bith. Maybe they will trying tweaking that into a bith?

TLG has already said that can't happen due to plastic quality.

Just the OT alone has at least 50 characters we don't have yet.

A non-poseable trans minifig should be possible. From what I heard, the plastic used for trans color has a tendacy to bind to each other (which is why builds like inserting trans 1x1 round or cone brick into 4L rod is illegal) and the area around joints can crack or develop other problem. But a new mold of a minifig that does not have any moving part could be done.

But a new mold of a minifig that does not have any moving part could be done.

And that would eliminate the problem of the arm or torso cracking when the arm is inserted into the torso, since they could be one piece. It's doable that way, but I'm not sure if TLG wants to change the basic minifig just for that.
