incognito Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 The set is already on sale in the german Legoland Shop: https://zusammengebaut.com/lego-creator-expert-nasa-apollo-11-lunar-lander-10266-wird-im-legoland-bereits-verkauft-71516/ Unfortunately no news about the minifig heads. Quote

I think at this point we just have to wait until someone who’s bought and built the set posts pictures. That might mean some who got it early from the German legoland, but we might still be waiting until June 1st. Quote
ChocolateCrisps Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Hopefully someone posts a picture of the parts list that's usually on the Creator boxes - that should give an answer. Quote

Promobricks on Instagram posted a picture of the sets on shelves at the German Legoland that put them out early. The box on the lower shelf is angled so you can see part of the parts list on top, but it’s cut off before any part of a minifigure is visible. And it’s possible it’ll be shown with visor down like they are everywhere else on the box. Quote
TeriXeri Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) While they removed parts list from boxes on the Creator 3-in-1 line since 2017, I do see they are still on the top side of Creator Expert boxes. Edited May 28, 2019 by TeriXeri Quote
incognito Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 (edited) Just yellow minifig heads and no armprints: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-10266-creator-expert-nasa-apollo-11-lunar-lander-review/81185 and almost no prints, just stickers Edited May 29, 2019 by incognito Quote
Graupensuppe Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Well, thats extremely disappointing. Not even snoopy caps. Are there any existing flesh heads that look like Armstrong and Aldrin? Quote
Vorkosigan Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 I don't know about extremely. Young Armstrong and Aldrin are pretty average looking clean cut guys, many fleshy heads are available that would work. Of course more printing would be nice. Quote
icm Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Wow, what a fantastic set! I didn't expect it to have any representation of the interior structure, but it's even got the tanks in the descent module! Plus all sorts of fun building techniques, a cabin that fits both minifigures, and the first new Moonscape for minifigures since 1979. It would have been nice if the landing legs could be folded inboard and if there was room for a rover in the base, but those features are more MOC-level than set-level. I don't usually get multiple copies of sets, but I may make an exception for this one. Quote
CDM Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 (edited) Probably unlikely but it would be awesome to get a Command Module in the appropriate scale as an official set. I'd buy a second Lunar Module set if I knew that was forthcoming. Edited May 29, 2019 by CDM Quote

(mainly Aaron's Xbow uses a lot of tiles) Almost all my 1x2 tiles have the same injection pattern, resulting in some weird triangle shape, it seems specific to the 1x2 tiles as other parts are far less affected or marbled. Agreed, I always thought the marbled Lego pieces looked super cheap. Can't stand them. Quote
jonwil Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Bought the Lunar Lander from the Dreamworld LEGO store today. It looks great on my coffee table (potential candidate for best set of 2019 IMO) and while it would have been nice to have printed parts instead of stickers and better minifig parts (better helmet/backpack stuff, better looking heads) that would have pushed up the cost even more and the set is expensive enough. Quote
TeriXeri Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 LEGO store website is still messed up , all the new 3-in-1 sets are listed under Creator Expert. Quote
Dragunov2 Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 I bought the Lunar Lander today and got those free patch aswell this time Quote
TeriXeri Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 (edited) Ok LEGO fixed their site, new Creator 3-in-1 can be found under 3-in-1 again I wonder how many 3-in-1 sets are going to get reviewed soon. Browsed through the instructions of the Townhouse/Petshop, and it has some interesting parts, and the alt-builds could almost be their own sets, one of the first sets I could get multiples off on big discount, as I like the Bank and Dentist/Hair Salon. Still they are open-backed, and not hinged, might not be liked by some. Right now the only set I really that seems more expensive at retail price is the Outback Cabin, looks small for €35, almost 100 parts less then the Houseboat of same price, still the color scheme and parts could combine with older cabin sets. 2nd build (Birdwatcher hut with a hidden bed/campfire underneath) gives me a bit of a Minecraft vibe, 3rd build (barge/boat), you might as well get the Houseboat set instead. BrickBob Studpants Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 I received the patch in my latest order despite not having ordered the Lunar Lander, is that normal? Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Some days ago I built up the zoo shop & café: I'm really overwhelmed about how many wonderful and realsitic elements there are included outside as well as inside the buildings! Plus I like it that you can detach the floors - so that's much easier and much more space saving for storing. The set is a true masterpiece! Like I already mentioned some time ago, let's hope that there'll be a nice (of course much smaller) addition to the building in January! Quote
TeriXeri Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 (edited) Build the Deep Sea Creatures, Underwater Robot and Futuristic Flyer sets this week. Great sets for parts when found on discount. Underwater Robot is my favorite, and also is a great "mech" parts starter set if not looking for a particular theme. Shark also looks great, those 2 sets really go together.
