MicVash Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Geez, I feel like I haven't posted here in a long while. And everything's so different now! But anyways, onto business. [LOG: March 23, 3008. Scouting the rebel planet Highlander. Positioned at Terra Pass.] I have taken a solid task force to find a stronghold position on Highlander. The planet is covered in dense praries and low hills. I have taken a squad to scout what is known as Terra Pass. A large outcrop looms over the land and would be a suitable place to take refuge and establish a headquarters before the full campaign. I make camp now with my squad of elite shock troopers. Our researchers have done well and my spartan armor technology is now available to my men. They have been breed for war. Their faces are but shadows for they need no identity but that of Spartan. "Captain! The rest of the company will be following us shortly. All units will take position on the top of this rock." "None will come through Terra Pass without paying the toll... Move out, men!" Mars, Maru, and Mactalon later joined the squad and we all took position on the outcrop. Of course, I was riding Maverick. We certaintly had the higher ground.... ...Armed and ready... ...We are death from above... ...and below... Once again, a big thanks to our researchers for the hoverbike success. These are also ready to be mass produced. They feature an anti-grav pad underneath, stabilizing hover wings, side thrusters, and a mean set of teeth -- 2 dual mini blasters on the cheeks, and a dual pulse blaster underneath. I had sent our new quick strike units to set up an ambushing party ahead of the outcrop. Quick and deadly, swift as a shadow, they seek their prey in packs. Named the Raptor, these units have courage but no mercy. In position, they lay waiting. [END LOG: Transmission Out.] Thank you so much for getting through all that! Sorry for the all pics, but trust me I could've posted plenty more! The full gallery is here on Brickshelf. The hoverbikes were inspired by Soren. Thank you, Thank you, you are an artist. Mine do not completely follow his own design though. His gallery is here. Check him out, the guy has some beautiful space work, especially on the micro scale. Comments welcome! Quote
ExoBuilder Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 From what I can see, they look good! Though, I'll comment further later because it's hard to see some of the details because of the grass. Until then... *sweet* Quote
iamded Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Very nice army you have! I love those hoverbikes, they really are cool, I wouldn't mind having a few of those! :-D ~Peace Quote
General Zen Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 These are absolutely amazing! *y* Micvash, I have never seen your work before until today but i sure wish i did! Those hoverbikes truly are works of art. the walkers and infantry are very unique and awesome. Well done! Quote
zero1312 Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) Niiiiiice!!! *y* You surely took your time for these, which is good. *wub* Seriously, it's good to see you back in action here. ;-) Edited March 23, 2008 by zero1312 Quote
MicVash Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 Thank you for the comments, everyone. I'll post some more pics of the hoverbikes without all the grass in the way later. I really liked how they turned out, but now comparing the bikes with the mechs side by side, my mechs seem really outdated, especially Mars and Maru. But I guess that just gives me an excuse to keep on building! *sweet* Quote
Mr. Builder Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Wow. Nice army MicVash. I have one question. Are the helmets to the speeder guys actual helmets or customs? Quote
MicVash Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 Wow. Nice army MicVash. I have one question. Are the helmets to the speeder guys actual helmets or customs? They're old school. Some type of aquaraiders diving helmet without the visor. But as promised I've got an update on the hoverbikes for those of you who want some cleaner pics. Enjoy Quote
Asuka Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 That´s an impressive, dark and beautiful army indeed! And that Hoverbike looks great, just a very cool work! :'-) Quote
ExoBuilder Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Wow! They sure look better with the white-drop. The hovercraft is beautiful! It's awesome you can make so much of them! I'm also in love with your troops *wub* The photographys great also MicV *y* *sweet* Quote
MicVash Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 Yes, he's back home!!! X-D Oh, I was missed? ;-) But thank you very much, though, zero. Because of you I got back into building today. I scrapped Maverick :'-( but it's for a good cause! He's been upgraded to follow the style of the hoverbikes. Gotta keep the whole army upgraded, ya know. ;-) I'll post pics in a day or two. Quote

Plural Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 I *wub* your hoverbikes. They are awesome. Kudos to you. Quote
Front Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I really like the colours of this army. That greenish goes so well with black (as do so many colours thuogh). I like the three battle maschines just as much as the hover bikes. The mini-figures are great, did not know you could get such cool looking stuff. Front Quote
MicVash Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 Thank you very much, Front, and welcome to EB! Glad to see a fellow mech builder too ;-) There are four Battle machines though. *sweet* Two all black and two with green down the left side. Maverick, the mech my fig is riding in, one of the all black ones, is no more though. It has been scrapped for Maverick Rex! I've posted that model in a seperate thread. Quote
Wilhelm screamer Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 The hover bikes left be utterly speechless with their quality, and quantity. I don't know what to say about the mechs though, I am not the right person to judge those. Quote
Rayskull Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 I like the green on black, and I envy all your minifig accessories. Quote
Axle Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Those hoverBikes are my favourite bikes made from Lego Of all TIME! They remind me of the ghost from Halo, are they based on this?: Post instructions on those bikes, please.... POST INSTRUCTIONS! INSTRUCTIONS! Oops, got a bit carried away, but really, those HoverBikes are sweet. I Love THEM! Quote
MicVash Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 Thank you for the good comments, everyone. Expect to see the army develop even more within these couple weeks. (I'll have a heck of a lot more free time once I get out of school! ) Those hoverBikes are my favourite bikes made from Lego Of all TIME! They remind me of the ghost from Halo, are they based on this?: Post instructions on those bikes, please.... POST INSTRUCTIONS! INSTRUCTIONS! Oops, got a bit carried away, but really, those HoverBikes are sweet. I Love THEM! Like I mentioned before, I wasn't the genious behind the hoverbike design, I edited it to fit more my taste. The design is based off of Soren's. Look him up on Flickr. Yes, it does have a resemblance to the Halo ghost, but that turned out to be an after-thought, not something initially planned for. Quote
Batbrick Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Missed this MicVash, sorry! I absolutely love your hoverbikes, fantastic stuff there! They are so sleek and well designed I cannot fault them. The whole army looks brilliant, I love the look of the soldiers, and the mechs are awesome alongside the smaller vehicles. Great work! Batbrick Away! Quote
MicVash Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 Built another hoverbike. Now I have 6! Took some new pics of the whole squad too. Updated on Flickr. Quote
Batbrick Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Great job MicVash! The entire army looks fantastic and your photography is superb! I love the hovorbikes, very neat and clever, and your expanding army is very intimidating. What are you planning to do next? Batbrick Away! Quote
