Hi everyone

Please could you kindly let me know how many of the flexible tracks sections are needed to make a half circle or a circle, such as the pieces in track set 60205? ie how many of these packs are needed to make a continuous loop?

Huge thanks for any help!

Best,

James

I depens on the curve radius you'd like to get. If I remember well, for the tightest curve you can get, you need 64 flex track sections for a full circle, so 32 to half circle. But the curves will be really tight and it will really slow fown your train.

I believe that the tightest radius possible with the flex tracks is identical to that of one standard curve piece.

If I remember correctly, each flex piece is 4 studs long, and standard curves/straights are 16. (This means 4*flex = 1*normal, either straight or curved). Therefore, as 16 curves are required for a full circle, in flex that'll be 16*4=64 pieces.

Both the above answers are correct. However flex track offers poor traction and its doubtful a train would run around a circle made entirely of flex track. I try to avoid more than 2 pieces of flex track connected together.
