Another short review for a tiny set. I think all the other impulse sets have been covered off now except this one.

Definitely the worst set in terms of parts and figures - that large angled piece and those light green boney things are next to useless for most regular MOCs and you get a jelly alien - wow. *wacko* Still, it is kind of swooshable.

Heheheh, was this set actually worth a review at all?... :-P

Looks to me like a sad excuse for a TLG set, something the design team had to deliver just to fill up the spot of a small set, the kind of thing you'd see lying around in your average grocery in one of those huge "50% off" baskets, if you catch my drift... ;-)

The movability of the guns is kinda weird, I haven't seen that technique before, usually the guns are in one fixed position on the mini-models. Other than that, there's not much to say... I'm not a fan of Mars Mission...

I convinced myself not to get this set! Out of the 6 impulse sets that released earlier, this is the worst. I can't find any reasons for me to get it. But as for the rest of the impulse series, i have multiple sets *sweet*

I can't find any reasons for me to get it.

Well, it does have those new double hinges.... :-/

Thanks for the review, even though it wasn't much (not your fault). I think Mars Mission just wasn't made for Impulse sets like City was. :-P

I will join Brickmaster in having a different opinion of this set. X-D This is my favorite Impulse set so far. The Alien Jet looks like it has tons of working features for such a small set, including an opening cockpit and moveable (and possibly folding) guns. I just wish it was available in the U.S. :'-(

Thank you for that good review, Dr. Sinister. *sweet*

I still don´t like that set. The MF, well, is not very useful, and the craft just looks too blocky for my liking.

But I really hope we´ll see a nice Impulse set with the new and way better (IMO) Mars Alien MF.... 8-|

I don't think this set is that bad. I have one and will probably buy another one (that's because I have a 7695, a 5616 and will buy a 5619 as soon as it beacomes available; I like MM colour scheme but quite don't like bigger models so I choose small ones).

I guess for 2.90 €uros each, all Impulse sets are worth buying.

Can the two green things (the 'bones') be turned in slightly, towards the alien? Because I'm wondering if it might look better...

Anyway, cheers for the review. I might get this (maybe 2), just so my MX-11 has something to chase when I'm swooshing. And it's cheap, and I love a bargain.

The other day I was Very Bored and decided upon seeing pics of this impule on brickshelf

to see if I could build one using parts I already had. (IE, had to do Something with the useless extra Jellies that came with my MM sets)

So I can conclude that, I don't have any reason to buy this unless its on discount; I already have just as useful parts lying around my bins.

It is kinda cute and swooshable though, and when you fold the guns up it almost looks like it could be the head of a larger ship.(escape pod? scout?)

Thanks for the awesome review Doc! This set is rubbish though in my opinion.

It looks good only for the pieces. *y*
