HyperOnion Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Overall really like the FFH wave, but the jet set is fairly baffling from Lego's end--why would they make the big exclusives Happy and Fury? I can't imagine any kid is going to push for that set over the other two. Neither will adult collectors either--never has been a set been an easier "I'll just brick link the figures" decision... Also, Magma man looks great, but man an I gonna run out of room for all these giant brick built characters. The reason I got into collecting Minifigures was that they're small enough I can fit them in my apartment easily!
SpiderJazz Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 I don't think that this has been mentioned before but it looks to me that Molten-man's head piece is the same piece they used for Venom's mech set. Same color piece was used also for brick-built Ares for his shoulder pads. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Ultron Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Anyone find it interesting that Molten Man is a brick built creation while Hydro Man is centered around a figure?

Probably, Hydro-man will turn into a human form in those scenes? While Molten-man is just a big ugly beast.
MCU Spidey 2017 Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 (edited) Um, does anyone think we will maybe get the Red and black Ditko/ Far from Home suit in a polybag, surprise set or Bricktober Pack. It not being in the Far from Home sets is kinda of a huge downer. The Stark Plane and Drone Attack set would have been wayy better if it had that suit instead of the StarkTech suit and would have made that set something to spend money on because the set only has Nick Fury and Mysterio being decent figures in it (Happy has a dissapointing face and the Homecoming suit is being reused) . Bricky Dee Williams Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Unfortunately @MCU Spidey 2017, I wouldn’t bet on it. There aren’t any certainties with missing characters or variants. We never got the homemade suit from Homecoming, even after seeing the design in a LEGO video game. We’ve missed out on plenty of characters before. Who knows if they’ll do another Bricktober pack. And if they did, it will likely be focused on one movie like the infinity War one, and probably not Far From Home should one be released.

They will be so generous if they gave 2 new spidey suits. Even before the set was announced and all the leaks stuff came in, I always said that, "they didn't give us the homemade suit. Even we had two sets" Now we got Stealth suit. Don't get me wrong, I'm so glad with what we are getting in this wave. Also the good thing that I'm pointing out here is there's still a chance. If Peter will be using that suit going forward we can have it on Spiderman 3. Unlike homemade suit, chances are slim if they decided to revisit the movie but it's a looooooong stretch and wouldn't count on it. I even bought a custom one (leyile) which is a beautiful figure to satisfy my needs.

Does anyone know what piece is used for his head? Is that a new piece? I'm not positive, but if you look closely, it looks like the shoulder piece used on the Hulkbuster in Hulkbuster Smash-up. The same piece was used for the eyes on the Venom mech, but now it's facing forward, not up. Sorry, I just saw SpiderJazz posted the same thing 10 hours ago. My bad. My only problem is how that piece is going to look from behind. Is his head going to look hollow from the back?

I have the Venom mech, but the piece is facing upward in that set, so it's different, but since the piece is positioned differently, are they leaving it openand hollow looking, or are there bircks behind the head to make the whole thing look more solid?

After looking at the pictures we have available. It looks to me that they will use 2x2 curved slope to cover the back of his head.

I just went back and looked at better quality pictures. I can totally see that being the case now, makes the Molten Man Battle that much better than both of the other FFH sets now, IMO.

Gonna have Fury soon so I won't worry about getting the biggest set and also Happy Hogan doesn't have exclusive parts so it's a total pass for me.
namioik Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Did anyone get the DCPI codes for Target? I am hearing the avengers set has been spotted across the US

I love the two smaller sets, they are both a must buy. But I can make a better Happy than that one and I’ll alreadybhave the blue and red spidey suit and two Mysterios. I’ll BL that Fury and save myself $70. I absolutely love the other two sets though

Between the smaller Endgame sets, the FFH sets, the 20 Anniversary Star Wars sets (and the heavily rumored UCS Tantive IV), and the HP sets, I’m gonna go broke between April and June

NeutralNoodle Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 What are the chances of getting another Bricktober pack? I think it would be a good way of getting Ronin, scale suit Cap, Rescue, and a new Rocket.

If it's distributed as horrible as 2018 one, when only a few people in NA region can get and the rest of us have to pay ridiculous amount of money, no thank you. I'd rather they don't do it at all. That 20th Anniversary Slave I is gonna take the biggest chunk out of my wallet.
