If two of five sets don't include minifigures, they would be a waste of spots. There is no way they’d give us another Black Widow. They already used her QR variant in 2 sets for this movie. I think she can be counted out. Unless I missed the part where she and Hawkeye biked to Vormir.

Bricky Dee Williams Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 (edited) Updates on my comments earlier about the 2020 set 31199 Lego “Zebra” is being described as an “adult-oriented theme.” It may also include 2 Star Wars sets labeled “adult” sets. So it will potentially include 4 Disney-licensed sets. I’m really excited to see what “adult-oriented” set they bring forth for Marvel. Edited July 17, 2019 by Aegis2000
DuckBricks Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 To be honest, I know a lot of people are disappointed with the very out there set names, but if it means we get a movie accurate Helmetless Thanos, Iron Man with gauntlet, or any other missing minifigures in the assorted Avengers-themed trucks, cars, mechs, and whatnot, I’m all in. It’s a good compromise for selling to kids (who would probably prefer an iron man mech, for example, over a battle scene playset) but giving adult fans great figures to collect (as seen in the helicopter drop). And with the promise of a more adult-oriented Marvel set, I’m super excited to see what comes next

GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Since the Mandalorian is getting sets this year and next year, is it possible that we could get sets based on the Marvel shows for Disney+? I’d love to see at least one set from each show.
NXS7 Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 (edited) Just want to throw this out there; the set names aren't final. They're all preliminary names. So it doesn't mean that there's just going to be a bike or truck that belongs to the Avengers, but the set contains a bike and a truck that belongs to a certain character. Same with Spider Man, we literally just got an actual Spider Man bike, mech and jet (albiet Juniors), but the bike could belong to Kraven or Mister Negative, not necessarily Spider Man. The mech could even be Sp//Dr. So we should all just chill with the comments that "Spider Man doesn't need a bike" or "The Avengers didn't use a bike" unless we know that said vehicles actually belong to the Avengers or Spider Man 7 hours ago, TOTDForever said: This is a first for me saying this, but lego is getting really lazy with their marvel sets. More mechs, jets, and motorcycles? Really?? Because if there is ANYTHING we associate with Spider-Man it's him riding a motorcycle and a jet, not web swinging the NY canvas landscape, fighting on skyscrapers, or on bridges. It's vehicles. Also, WHY WOULD THANOS NEED A MECH, EVER?? I'm sorry guys this genuinely annoys me ?? I hope these sets have amazing figures because this is so cookie cutter at this point. (I know lego is for kids objectively) But come on, when you're reusing designs and ideas because they are safe, that is bad. Thing is... How many sets could you get out of buildings or playset areas, I'm pretty certain I remember the Sandman/Rhino set being hated for it's builds. Not many people in comics have associated vehicles, so it would've been inevitable that LEGO designed a bunch of vehicles for characters. And of course it would be the heroes who receive these vehicles that would, in comics, be incredibly unnecessary. But it's vehicles like these that allow for more and more figures to be released. If these vehicles were such a problem to an AFOL then you could just buy the sets then keep the figures and sell the vehicle, but of course <inserts the usual "these sets are for kids who would probably love a Spider Man bike" comment> 6 hours ago, DeCommander96 said: A few years ago, Lego would never make a mech. If you count the DC ones, there are only 3 of them. However,DC get original sets, like Brother Eye and Ras Al Ghuls temple. Marvel on the other hand get the occasional good set such as the Hall Of Armour and the Royal Talon Fighter Lego really need to step up the marvel sets The Hulkbuster is an iconic larger scale Iron Man suit, that of course has many variants (hence two different ones for the movies, 3 years apart), the UCS Hulkbuster isn't exactly a normal consumer set so I'd hardly count it, Giant Man isn't a mech, he's a buildable giant minifigure, same with Molten Man and Rhino being based upon TASM2 and Detriot Steel really just had to be mechs Spider Man, Venom and War Machine are the only mechs that could've been avoided, but Venom doesn't necessarily have to be a mech, it can just be a large Venom, and the War Machine mech is... Just awesome despite it not being included in Endgame, or really anywhere. So I'd say that Spider Man is the only one who didn't NEED a mech, but I'm part of the people who really like that mech. 1 hour ago, Aegis2000 said: Updates on my comments earlier about the 2020 set 31199 Lego “Zebra” is being described as an “adult-oriented theme.” It may also include 2 Star Wars sets labeled “adult” sets. Brick Cucumber Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 I don't see why Lego keep giving Spider-Man vehicles. It's just gawdy and doesn't fit the character nor is it iconic to the series. I don't see why they don't do small playsets like the great TLBM sets and the BRILLIANT Spider-Man 2 sets. Those New York / cityscape builds were not only amazing, but interesting and eye-catching. I don't see why they keep giving us terrible Red Blue mechs. There's a reason that the Venice set is one of the best received sets of the Far From Home line. 7 hours ago, DeCommander96 said: A few years ago, Lego would never make a mech. I think for the most part these are placeholder names, though I'm sure we'll still have out stupid spider-man and avengers vehicles. so it might be, say "iron man mech" and it's a set with iron man and a mech, or spider-man bike being a set with spider-man and a bike. As for this lego "zebra" thing, is zebra a code name or will these sets be, like, black and white bricks only or something? I wouldn't get your hopes up for defenders sets or a massive endgame final battle.

oodan Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 By Iron Man mech and Thanos mech, could they mean Giant Man and Chitauri apes? If the names really are preliminary, then it could mean "Iron Man and Giant Man, which is brick built and therefore looks a bit like a mech". Giant-man is somewhere around 150 pieces, I believe.

"Thanos mech" could easily be used as a preliminary name for a mech (or mech-like character) in Thanos' army which hadn't had it's name revealed at the time.

Yeah, this is either a thanos's army mech-type creature like those chitauri beast things, or a small set that somehow includes big-fig thanos. Thanos isn't going to be a minifigure in a normal set, especially not when hulk is a big fig in the same wave. Edited July 18, 2019 by Mandalorianknight Mighty micros is not a "normal set"

Fenghuang0296 Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 I don't so much mind vehicles as long as they're well designed. For example, I have zero complaints about the helicopter in the Hulk and Rescue set. It looks gorgeous and elegant. That said, the helicopter in the Avengers compound . . yeah no. Just no.

There’s nothing wrong with the sets looking like kids toys in general, because they are. But you compare these sets to what we just got for Far From Home, or Harry Potter, or Star Wars. None of those have weird innacurate over-the-top city style vehicle sets like Endgame has had. The builds with marvel just seem so plain and boring. Far From Home is probably the best wave for set design in Marvel since 2016 (although infinity war had some good ones) thankfully though, if the hulk helicopter is anything to go by, the vehicles may atleast be well designed this time round the problem with mechs in marvel to me is a result of the simplification of the builds too, compare the War Machine buster to the likes of the Oni-Titan, the Egghead mech, triple decker couch or Lex Luther 2018 mech. Those are all amazingly designed, but the war machine one is just awful
