I don't know why everyone is so disappointed in comic sets. I for one am sick of the constant MCU sets and really want some comic ones.

Not really for mine. Somehow it keeps getting more and more broke....

Honestly when I first saw that head my first thought was comic Black Panther. Could be Ninjago or something but but I really doubt it. I think that’s it for Endgame which is honestly pretty ridiculous considering the impact of the film. But it is looking like these other sets are comic based.

Comics-based sets can be great, but not when we're missing so many Endgame-accurate characters. The first Endgame wave of sets is so inaccurate, and we want a fitting conclusion to the Infinity Saga for our Lego minifig collections. Cap in his scale-armour, Tony with a nano-gauntlet, fat Thor, Ronin... the one new set with Hulk and Rescue is good, but it doesn't make up for such a lackluster series of sets for Endgame.

They might give us a classic captain America, which had scales so you could be able to switch them

I wouldn't mind a comics Black Panther at all. His design, though really simplistic, was always cool looking to me. Bonus points if his minifigure includes a cape as well.

And I'm glad that Lego is finally making a Black Panther head with actual white eyes this time instead of making them lime/blue or giving him no eye lenses at all like his 3 MCU minifigures. Though I kind of wish that they would've given him a Batman-like cowl piece that his comics minifigure version was given in the first Lego Marvel Superheroes game instead of resorting to the Darth Maul method that was used on the MCU Panthers:

You could pay an arm and a leg for a custom one...

If you weren't broke, this would make you broke. Customs prices are crazy :roflmao:. Especially Christo's older figs.

Ironically, a comic book line would probably lead to us getting more Endgame accurate suits than the first wave because of how the new outfits were inspired by the classic costumes.

What if,(warning: the following contains a bunch of wishful thinking) the head of thanos that has been revealed is his decapitated head from a set where he got decapitated and Lego is getting more violent and gory with marvel ?

im kidding,calm down

Ikr! Hopefully we'll get Friday the 13th Lego sets!

And John Wick sets!

And a zombie apocalypse!

You. Need. To. Stop. Wishlisting. You've bordered into stuff that's not even Marvel. You can't pass it off by calling it a joke, either.

A couple heads just leaked, one of them looks a lot like comic book Black Panther. Since we're getting a comics wave, that makes sense.

good for my wallet, I don't like comics sets unless they introduce new spider-man suits or characters not in the mcu like moon knight.

I think it's good to get a mix of both.  Personally I'm hoping to see a fantastic 4 set.  X-Mansion would be awesome too but we all know that's never going to happen.:hmpf_bad:

I guess this wave may just tie in with Marvel 80th then. Could (maybe, but I don't know what I'm talking about) be that Zebra thing, could be an 80th anniversary set.

Even if this is just for the normal sets, I look forward to seeing what other classic Marvel variants we can get (hoping for Ms Marvel and Electro in one of the Spider Man sets)

This thread is really falling off the rails. :enough: Please stick to discussing the actual news, leaks, and substantiated rumors, and get wishlisting and discussing of other properties out of here.

Thank you

Was going to make this point too. There are wishlist threads for a reason. But wild speculation about CMF's and Friday the 13th is not appropriate for a chat based on leaks/ rumors.

Honestly I think even if the sets are comic-based, we might still get movie figures. The previous Avengers comic/cartoon line from 2016 had movie Iron Man armors included with the sets.

Very true, but also we could still get Endgame sets even if they're not part of this wave (which I'm not convinced is the case). I know it's a long shot but it could happen next year. Seeing the impact the movie had I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO wanted to capitalise on the movie. Maybe they hadn't planned any extra sets (except for Hulk and rescue) because they didn't have enough info about the movie. Now that it's out they could decide to put out accurate sets and figs, after all it takes a long time for a LEGO set to go from concept to shelf, which is why we wouldn't have seen/heard anything yet. They'd have to go through the whole design process, and depending on what they wanted to do with characters they'd even have to consider new moulds. This would take probably a year from start to finish.

TLDR; I'm not convinced Hulkcopter is the only MCU set in this new wave, and even if it is it doesn't necessarily mean we'll never get more Endgame sets

Comic sets are nice to get and I’m glad more are coming, especially Avengers based and not just Spider-Man based. There have been a ton of MCU sets ever since they went up to 3 movies per year and it’s really killed the comic book Avengers sets. We all want more accurate Endgame figures but a second wave was always improbable and I’m surprised we’re even getting one extra set.

It looks like the sets are based on recent comics. Thanos has had a large role in the comics recently (as well as a redesign where he gains red eyes), and Black Panther is the current chairman of the Avengers. If they really are basing it on these, I really hope they include the rest of the Avengers (2018) lineup in the sets.

To my knowledge the non-MCU sets have never been based on the comics, but based on cartoon series/LEGO-animated mini movies. Which means if the Thanos head isn't the MCU head, then one of the following must be true

1 - LEGO are starting to make sets based on the comics themselves, which would be amazing as there's no much potential for both character and build designs

2 - The Thanos head is based on a new animated show/mini movie, which is doubtful

3 - The design is a completely random one not based on any particular show/movie, similar to how the Mighty Micros were just generic designs. This would make the most sense if the Micros-style "mech theme" is a reality
