What happened to the new sets being released this year? The Hulk/Gauntlet set plus the various Mechs? Things have been unusually quiet on those, did I miss something?!

All we know is that the Hulk Helicopter Drop will be released on Black Friday. I don’t know if the rest of the wave is coming that weekend too.

The Hulk Helicopter Drop set is releasing kn November 25th, while the other 4 Avengers sets and 5 Spider-Man sets probably release on January 1st.

I think Lego won’t make sets for all the Disney+ shows. I can definitely see them skipping What If because that show encompasses the entire MCU and I think it would be hard to pick just a few episodes to make sets of. For 2021 I’m expecting one Shang-Chi set, one or two Doctor Strange sets, three Spider-Man sets, two Thor sets, and one set each for WandaVision, Loki, and Hawkeye. I wouldn’t expect comic based sets in a year with that much Marvel Studios content.

Shang-Chi, Wanda & Vision, Loki and Hawkeye are all series i don’t expect any Lego sets from. Maybe some loosely based on the series sets (a mix of comic designs and mcu appearances)- the main hero vs the villain. But definitely not mcu designed figs.

But maybe they throw in some series related polybags. With mcu designs.

I do expect sets of Dr Strange, Thor and of course Spidey. They are movie based, not series based and have had sets before.

We probably get mcu tv series figs as exclusives of comic cons.

However i do hope for the most of y’all overhere they will bring us those mcu characters, for myself i hope for comic based.

Ah, thanks! I had expected more leaks before now.

Shang-Chi is a movie, not a show. I'd say there's a high chance for at least one set, with him, the Mandarin and one other important character

Let's hope not, I despise CC exclusives. There is nothing wrong with exclusives but those SDCC figures/sets are pretty much solely for those with loads of money to spare

I don't think it's possible to lower the quantity on Marvel sets any further at this point

I thought it was pretty bad. I didn't give it a chance to see it in theatres but when I watched it at home I stopped halfway through and finished it about a week later because I was bored

I agree with both your statements, especially the one about venom. It's a fun film, but only due to the sheer stupidity of it.

I think the best what if will get is a comic-con exclusive of zombie captain america or something. As for the rest though, I can see them all getting 1-2 sets, though maybe some of them won't have sets until after the series starts. Spider-man: (home pun) will probably have 2-3 sets, along with the other films.

Oh my bad, i thought it would be a show. In that case i can totally see them making a set for him.
Did anybody read those comics back in the days? I didn’t. It always seemed so boring that i was amazed he even made it to the mcu

If you look at the past few years, the febuary/march films have been to appeal to different culture/diversity, etc. I assume this is part of the reason for shang-chi being chosen. However, the MCU does have a lack of skilled martial artists/hand to hand combatants with te death of black widow, so I'm glad he's coming in. He also does seem like a cool character, and the action scenes should be great.

Not if they brought the Netflix characters into the MCU. Then we could finally get an official Daredevil minifigure

There's legal reasons for that. But DD will probably get rebooted as part of MCU as soon as legal reasons are resolved.

The netflix iterations of the characters will never come into the MCU. However, it's likely daredevil will once netflix's rights expire, in which case we do finally hopefully get a daredevil figure.

I wasn’t overly interested in Shang Chi originally (I think that goes for a lot of the Phase 4 announcements unfortunately) but I’ve been watching the excellent Kim’s Convenience on The Netflixes for the last few weeks, and now I’ve learned that the Shang Chi is being played by the guy from that, I’m 100% on board.

Lego-wise, I just hope they bring out a Mandarin Ultimate Showdown remake. Like when a classic Star Wars set gets redone. That’d be hilarious.

It’s actually WandaVision which really has my interest from the Phase 4 stuff. The potential in the rumours/ announcements about the show are awesome, I think there’s a chance it could be the best thing in the MCU if they get it right.

So I am hoping for a set from that. They’ve done “sitcom TV set” for Big Bang Theory and Friends so they can roll out that style again, just with more synthezoids and not-mutants and Randall Park.

not a remake, a UCS model of the set but with shang-chi and mandrian minfigures.

As for wandavision, unfortunately I think we'll just get some action set with wanda, vision, the villian/s, hopefully Jimmy Woo, and the "visonmobile" or "scarlet witch mech" or something.

I don’t care as long as we finally get another Wanda. I missed the first two sets with her (Dark Ages can bite my sigfig’s plastic megablocks) and I really want her.)

Maybe the twisted 1950s sitcom thing they’re doing for WandaVision has enough leeway that they can throw a bit of Batman ‘66 in there, in which case a bubble-domed Visionmobile would make perfect sense!

When the Hawkeye figure inevitably fails to have printed legs, at least we can use Huntress's legs from the DC CMF on him.

Is that image of the Thanos mech floating around legit?

It's incredibly fake. First of all most of these pieces either do not exist or do not exist in a certain color. Second lego doesn't print that much

I agree, she's been in 2 films now where we could have had her as a figure but didn't. though the 2015 version is only about $4 on bricklink, so you slap the agent 13 hair on her and you've got a fairly accurate figure.

I don't care how meta the series is supposed to be, if the visionmobile shows up I'm putting a bullet in the tv.

No. Many weird new molds, it's not actually a mech, waay to many prints, and you can actually tell it's a different type of plastic.

Ah come on, there's no point fighting the pull of the merchandisable vehicle. You brought it up, I'm just running with it.

Not sure which would be the better version to see getting the brick treatment...

This

or this?

I'm cool with the second, but I will have to insist on it using the Fabuland chassis and grille: https://brickset.com/sets/3637-1/Gertrude-Goat-the-painter

Ok, so the DC cmf batman leaked with a new cowl. That cowl coulered in blue and purple could be used for a great classic Hawkeye. Too bad we aren't getting that version
