Probably! They last updated them several years ago, this could be a different road configuration that still works with the current plates or a new system entirely. Excited to see what it ends up being.

You are right, sorry I confused dollars and euros. It's, though, a fact that they are changing the road packages bundle. Could the roadplates themselves have an update?

Sure hope not. If that's the case I better clear some room in my budget to finish my city roads.

Yeah, I could have the same problem . . I hope the new ones are at least compatible.

Not sure but I think I saw these the other day at the LEGO store, they are totally different, like that fold out play mat thing all smooth except for studs at key connection points with printed vegetation and paved roads on one side, the flip side with dirt looking roads. They seem to be thicker as well, not like a base plate either. They are so much different in fact I feel sure they will still have the other ones still available as the new ones appear to be aimed at a younger audience. They just wouldn't work well with a modular style city layout like most people seem to like, no studs to attach stuff to.

Nope, those are a totally different thing.

Could the set 60223 Harvester Transporter actually be transporting a wood/tree harvester, ie on tracked wheels rather than a farm/agricultural harvester as this would compliment this years set, 60181 Forest Tractor? Just a thought

That would be great indeed. TLG could do profitable buisness if they would link 60181, the cargo theme and one or more (cargo) trains to each other and not just by blending a cargo sticker into the 60198 set. A lumber mill / factory is on my wishlist but any expantion of the cargo subtheme would be a shot in the bullseye imo.

You are right, it will be a forest harvester :)

Btw: Instagram lists three more Sky Police Sets:

60206 Sky Police Jet Patrol - $ 9,99

60207 Sky Police Drone Chase - $ 29,99

60208 Sky Police Parachute Arrest - $ 39,99

So there's only missing 60205 (I suppose a very small set for 5 Euros - like always).

Thank you all very much for the info so far! :classic:

Sky Police does sound very, very special. I was hoping for water police theme - we haven't been getting one since the early ninetees. Or at least some police special forces - like the ones from 2013 - but this time with some sort of police tank and a jewelery break-in. Whether the Sky Police theme will be interesting for me or not, can only be said after having seen pics or at least after having gotten detailed info on the sets.

I really like the idea of a Burger Bar Fire Rescue - I only hope that the burger bar will be a decent sized building with a nice interior!

Garbage Truck, Diving Yacht and (Forest) Harvester Transport sound very promising, too.

Let's hope that we'll get the set names of the remaining Great Vehicles soon.

Those sound..... weird

I'll wait to see pictures but that almost sounds like a sci fi theme

I wonder what the next police subtheme will be. Underwater police? Desert police? South Pole police?

You mean Sky-fi.

I'd like to see Desert police.

More modestly, I'd plausibly expect to see a Harbour/Docksides Police subtheme in the near future, something to overlap with the reoccurring Cargo subtheme that pops-up every now and then.

I'd wish it were rather a Sky-Fi action/adventure theme, but no, Sky-Fi is something else entirely...

I still keep my fingers crossed for a new cement mixer.

The leaked sky police logo reminds me somehow of The Beatles' Yellow Submarine...

though since we have the actual set numbers it must be a City theme, right?

That wasn't a leaked logo. It was an edited image taken from an episode of The Simpsons where Chief Wiggum got his hands on an experimental military jetpack and started flying around and calling himself the 'Sky Police'. It was just something someone did for a laugh. It's not official in any way.

So if Airport is on a 3 year cycle (2010, 2013, 2016) and Space is every 4 years (2011, 2015) one might expect both as Summer 2019 sub-themes. However with the Sky Police coming I think we will get Space exploration and a water-based sub-theme in the summer -there will be very few city sets with boats available at that stage.  We  could possibly see a return to divers (maybe marine biologists instead of treasure hunters) and hopefully a large harbor set.

Me too! Would like to see a cement mixer and also a pick up recovery truck towing car would be nice.

I’m very curious to see the rest of the great vehicles sets and what they’ll look like. The only ones that have been confirmed are the garbage truck, harvester Transport, and the diving yacht. If anyone finds new information on these please let me know! I wonder when we’ll get to see leaked images?

Really want to see the new Fire/Police sets and possibly changed Road Baseplates.

Hopefully Burger Bar is majority of an actual building and not 80% firetruck.

I am hoping they just decide to re-release the current ones in different pairings. That would really help out my city.

Anything can happen, the last roadplate change was in 2005 when they turned dark bley.

And the last design change was 2002.
