So I finally saw the space sets in the store today, in a Target (I'm in the US). They had a nice big display. There was several trays of a promotional poster / activity book for free. Below is the cover and then the unfolded poster. There are activities and more pics of the sets on the other side. The poster is only half of one side, it's about 16" x 24".

I also see on Target's website they say "Only at Target." https://www.target.com/c/new-toys/-/N-4slqy

August LEGO City Magazine is out, small police car is quite town-like (printed piece on front) and decent for a magazine gift, even if it's the 3rd cop of 2019 magazine so far (the other cops were more sky-police themed with mini jet and jetpack-wings)

Next Magazine (Late August / Early September) is Space themed, with an astronaut figure (white with orange stripes), large airtank+golden visor piece, and mini-robot using the 2019 round printed blue eyes 1x1 tile as a face, and a single orange/translightblue geode.

Polybags might still offer more value/parts for the price, but for me Magazines are a lot easier to find and I enjoy the little comics and stories that play out.

Just built the 2018 60204 Hospital set.

I know it's not a 2019 set but it's still on shelves (unlike the 2017 Friends one)

Certainly a nice all-in-one set when looking for medical themed building/helicopter and ambulance, great value when found at a good discount.

I didn't have any medical themed sets/minifigs at all so for me it fits right in a 3-in-1 scaled town, and the Ambulance/Helicopter aren't bad imo.

@TeriXeri I have that one too. Personally, I liked the one from 2012 better because of its simpler, but detailed look. But I needed a hospital on my island and the 2012 hospitals on eBay were WAY out of my budget so I got stuck getting the 2018. I've learned to tolerate it though.

I like the 2018 hospital as well. If nothing else its a great source of medical related parts and stickers for any future hospital MOCs I end up doing.

I bought two of the 60204 hospital sets to combine into a modular. As I had a couple ambulances but no medical facility I think it was a great addition. I also think it is the best medical center so far in Lego.

Bought the space station today, great set with some neat parts and stickers (although one of the curved white parts was damaged and I have submitted a request to LEGO for a replacement)

The whole City Space line is really great and the only reason I dont have the whole lot yet is lack of funds.

Well it has been 4 years so..... Eh give it some time. Truthfully speaking, despite the ages it says on the box, those space sets seem to be targeted towards an older audience. Especially the space research center and the rocket assembly. That's probably why.

Space actually didn't as horrible as Sky Police though. You wanna see one of the most pathetic money getting tactics from Lego? Look at the last two police waves (Mountain and Sky).

Fire set sales went through  the roof this year I heard. Good job on the new house and siren systems for them btw, Lego.

Amazon and the stores near me treated the new space sets as an August release so it's way too early to tell how well they sell. Mostly you can tell by how extensive the discounts get after a few months.

The space sets just started hitting the shelves in Canada - picked up Rover Testing Drive. Not super impressed by the design as expected (and the orange accent is rather icky), but the parts will be really useful for some serious space builds.  I am super looking forward to Space R&D People Pack though!

Hey guys, I wanted to ask for advice. I'm considering buying a people pack set (outdoors one, but also considering the others, fun at the beach i.e.). I like those very much, but considering the prices of these packs are high, and without getting into too much detail - can you recommend them? The only thing I'm concerned about is how unique those minifigures and accessories generally are in these types of sets? I haven't been buying any sets for some years and recently got back to it, and I want each set to have something new and unique, but I didn't want to dive deep into the product reviews, because for me they eliminate the surprise factor of opening a new set. Thanks in advance for your opinion!

I advise you to take 60234 fun fair people pack, because in my opinion there is more diversity of pieces and opportunities for customization, compared to 60230 which you can retrieve most of minifigures and pieces directly from the other sets from his reference theme.

Next (late november) City magazine goes back to the City Space line and has an orange spacesuit with trans-lightblue helmet figure, on a small car that's similar to the one from Benny's squad but with slightly bigger wheels.

You know what! Of all the Lego magazines out there, City magazine is the only one we cannot obtain in the US. We have all the others except that one.
