I’m going to add fuel to the time travel sort of stuff for the special. There is a strong rumor that there will be a new big bad for the special that is new to the ninjago franchise

If not the Oni, then what's the "24 episode-arc" that's being closed?

Hm Ninjago already has a filler episode. A recap episode would help bring it to true Anime status.

I would absolutely love to see this. it would be hilarious. 

Hinestly, though, ae have to remember that the Oni are shapeshifters. It's more likely that they're simply going to assume the forms of the previous villains. 

I really hope we finally get an answer to what happened to the Ultra Dragon after the Final Battle, though.

Maybe the story of Harumi and Lord Garmadon? After all, the Oni, who are supposed to have three leaders that the Oni Masks are based on, will likely supplant Lord Garmadon as the main villain. It's a otitle weird that they just left Lord Garmadon to rot in prison. Maybe he'll break out, round up Pythor, some leftover Stone Army warriors, maybe some Serpentine, and try to smash the ninja? Or some more complicated plan? That way the Ninja will defend Lord Garmadon once and for all, thus clearing the way for an Oni-focused season.

Also the bad guy apparently isn’t oni. I would put him along the lines of the time twins, Chen, and harumi

Called it. Hopefully the Time Twins. We still don't know what happened to them. And if it is them it would work with the idea that this season will involve time travel.

Are you sure this human character is a new villain? Maybe he is an ally like Ronin. I mean, Tommy Andreasen said that the four episode special will put an end in this 24 episode story arc and also Garmadon said that "they" are coming possibly refering to the oni. So it would make much sense if the Oni just shapeshifted to previous villains and this would also explain the new moulds and pieces. Except if with "they" he means the older villains or something.

Here I will phrase this better, when I said he wasn’t oni I meant he doesn’t have the apparence of the oni. He has the apparence of human like Chen. He could be a shape shifter oni or a regular human I’m not sure of those details

Please help me. I am so confused... Are all the sets remakes of Season 1 and Season 2, or are they like time travel or something from "4 episode special"? Suits that leaked are "4 episode special" ones, right? What is the "big constraction-like blade from Sons of Garmadon in gold in something"? It's all so messed up.

It would seem that time travel of some sort would be involved with this four-episode special. Hence the vehicles and villains of Old.

They are remakes, and the suits are for the four-episode special. We have no idea what the plot that ties the sets together is.

I’m just as confused as you. Supposendly it involves oni but yet there hasn’t been any indication of oni appearing in any sets. We also have Nya rumored to be getting both her samurai x suit and her ninja outfit. It seems like the special is going to cover a lot of the old ninjago stuff ranging from at least the pilots to possession.

We're starting from a very low base of information. I know about set names and parts, but not how those parts fit into the sets or how the sets even look. The Day of the Departed sets might have felt similarly confusing if all we had was a list of minifigure parts, printed parts, weapon parts, etc. but no idea how they all went together. After all, we had no idea that the various villains in that special were just museum replicas brought to life by Sensei Yang, nor the relevance of the Trans. Neon Green weapons they all wielded. And if all we had were a context-free list of parts and sets, we might not even realize that it was a "blended wave" of both Skybound and Day of the Departed sets.

I will say that the blade I was talking about is the one used on Killow or Mr. E's bikes in black, but in gold this time, and that it would not entirely surprise me if it were used to replace the large "katana blade" parts as the foundation of the Golden Dragon's wings.

What I don't get is - how do we suddenly get so many expensive sets for a winter wave? Not that I mind, the summer wave was way too small for my taste. But for years now the most expensive winter wave sets were like $70 max.

To be honest, I'm already kind of regretting it... ever since shortly after I shared the information beyond my immediate friend group, the site that I had been getting it from started forcing a login to see the parts database. And I'm not sure I'm able to get an account due in part to a language barrier, essentially keeping me from using a resource I had become quite fond of over the last year.

But then again, it's not like it was information that I was legitimately entitled to, and I'm not even sure how long it would have been before Lego cracked down on it if it had remained publicly available, anyway. It just sucks to feel indirectly responsible for making it inaccessible.

Again, we have no idea. All we have are some images of new parts and set names. I’m sure all will be revealed closer to when these actually come out.
