March 29, 200816 yr A MAYOR! :-P a billionair. *sad* a group of bums X-D a common theft(trench coat, mask, bag o loot ect.) *skull* a sick man wrapped in bandages :-X Thats about it.
March 29, 200816 yr A lawnmower repair man with oil stains on his shirt. *sweet* This would go great with his shop. (hint, hint to any lego designer who happens to be checking out this topic.)
March 29, 200816 yr Zoave's idea about the lawn mower repairman and brickchick's idea about the shop keeper + open umbrella are both very good ideas. I like them both because they take minifigs that we already have (repairman and "shop keepers") and simply add new decal designs to them - adding new printed decals means new and more specialized minifigs and not simply a minifig in a new coat or button sleeve. For example, Zoave says a dirty stain on the lawn mower repairman's shirt etc. I would love to see a musician + a violin. Lego should also differentiate between the airport repairmen and the car repairmen. Furthermore, there should be two separate minifigs for the airport oil serviceman and the car oil serviceman. Moreover, there needs to be more security guards/swat team compared to the number of policemen we have. I doubt any AFOL are dying to see more firemen impulse (tons of these impulse sets were left on Target shelves for 99 cents - yes the new ones). Finally, separate the mail carriers from those working in the back with the boxes (perhaps red shirts versus brown ones). The bottom line is that Lego could do a lot with what they already have, they simply need to specialize a little more (this would attract the AFOLs). For example, lego already separates the Pilot from the Airport Worker. Now, they just need to do the same with all other themes and more so. There should be at least 5-6 distinct printed patterns for each profession: For example in the repair professions: Electricians, Bike repairman, boat repairman, plane repairman (distinct printed torso not to be mixed with other professions or ambiguous), motorcycle repairman, ATV repairman. If there were separate identities like this, Lego would make a MUCH BIGGER impression in getting people to buy 40 dollar sets that should be priced at 25 or 30 dollars. Imagine there new Transport Line with specialized prints for the Carrier Truck, Carrier Plane etc (instead of using old prints). Sales would rocket, sets are impressive and "NEW" minifigs. Yes they say it's expensive, but it gets consumers buying.... For example, if Lego had some limited edition minifig in a certain set that is rare (comes by once 2-3 years at most like Zoaves's lawn mower repairman or brickchick's bored [add specific shop] keeper), imagine the sales of that specific set. *sweet* repeat this idea on sets they want SOLD, and done, there should be a boost in sales from those who were on the 50/50 or those who have similiar sets already. *sweet* Edited March 29, 200816 yr by legobear
March 29, 200816 yr That are very good ideas of you!I must disagree: I didn't like the World City one (and didn't buy it, too) beauce the minifig was only a normal police officer and no security officer and because of the opening function of the truck which really was/is :-X . Otherwise the car itself was very nice designed. Theres a diffrence the colour and the security guy has "Security" written on his shirt. World City Police Guy World City Security Guy *Pics are from bricklink
March 30, 200816 yr I would love to see a musician + a violin. Or better yet a Tuba *sweet* Actually, having several instruments would be great. A small band, maybe. Isn't there one at Windsor?
March 30, 200816 yr Its gotta be a tramp/hobo/pikie type figure. Just like KhoRne's one in the impulse contest. Failing that a vicar.
March 31, 200816 yr Author Theres a diffrence the colour and the security guy has "Security" written on his shirt.World City Police Guy World City Security Guy *Pics are from bricklink Oh, excuse me! I didn't realise that. But nevertheless I didn't/don't like this minifig very much because it has got this police emblem on its jacket - and the truck includes this police emblem, too. And in my opinion the police emblem doesn't be in line with the security transport car (driver) because security has nothing to do with police. I myself would like to see a security transport car (driver) which/who has nothing in common with a police car/officer.
August 20, 200816 yr Chuck Norris! *wub* OOO! How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could Chuck Norris? Some sort of Eccentric Hundredaire with some sort of eccentric doublewide trailer.
August 20, 200816 yr Milk man. With a milk float. Well... maybe I´m in a strange mood, but a milkman with a delivery cart would be really cool. Very retro, and very cozy... and, ya know, please give me a paperboy on his bike too. Back to the future on!
August 21, 200816 yr Chuck Norris! *wub* The boogie man checks his closet for chuck norris..... :skull:
August 21, 200816 yr 1) A President, or Mayor.. some sort of head of state 2) A bartender (too adult for Lego I think) 3) Cab driver 4) Bellboy
August 22, 200816 yr Milk man. With a milk float. Well, LEGO has Arla promotional sets (and Tine!) but right they are promotional sets and quite hard to find, also meant for delivery to shops, not to the customer. But the problem is that there are no good shops available from LEGO (that is why we opened our Albert Heijn and Spar supermarkets).

August 23, 200816 yr I wouldn't mind some more criminals for all of this year's new police sets to chase around. I can't complain, though, since the parts to make my own are readily available. This upstanding citizen's torso cost $.15 on Bricklink.
August 24, 200816 yr i'd like a undercover cop, a few tourists in tacky novelty t-shirts or more plain ol' citizens. Edited August 24, 200816 yr by maiq the liar
August 24, 200816 yr I ever like to see musicians, doesn't matter which ones exactly. I also dream a bout new, real music instrument pieces A second choice would probably be all thinkable people that are needed in a courthouse.
August 24, 200816 yr Well, it seems to be that mine is already there :) http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2106/212095..._3d396502e6.jpg @AwesomeStar: for in the LEGO town they are not too great indeed. Well just create one yourself then of course!
August 24, 200816 yr 1. A hobo 2. New thieves 3. Gangsters! 4. A sportsman 5. SWAT men... So many possibilities!
August 25, 200816 yr A gangsta(with an afro!) A gangster (with a new tuxedo or suit) A greaser (with the Robin hair and the old leather jacket) And, an alien (with a flying saucer invading a city!)
August 25, 200816 yr Striking public service worker! Maybe licensed from TfL? On a more serious note (though transport workers would be good) I really like maiq ‘s idea of tourist and of course tourist attraction to go with them.
August 28, 200816 yr Author Milk man. With a milk float. That's a great idea, AwesomeStar! I really would like to see a milk man, too. As addition to the new awesome Farm theme next year I could well imagine TLG releasing a milk van in 2010. Klaus-Dieter
