GiantAmbushBeetle Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) I highly modified an older racecar of mine, it eventually turned into a Touring Car - I even managed to find some fitting stickers. I hope you like it! And as always - if you have suggestions to improve this model don't hold back! :) Edited August 9, 2018 by GiantAmbushBeetle Quote
Boulderer Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Looks good. I assume it’s based on a DTM style touring car? Quote

Loosely, its still mostly a fantasy car though it borrows enough features of DTM cars to say it belongs to this racing class. It could also totally work as a V8 Supercar if I decide that it has a V8. And I just found a source for 30699 tires, that is smooth slicks 43x14 front tires - so this car is soon going to feature smooth slicks instead of the heavily profiled tires, which should dramatically improve it. Also glad you guys like it! Edited August 5, 2018 by GiantAmbushBeetle Quote
Boulderer Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Handling will improve, provided conditions remain dry ? Quote
GiantAmbushBeetle Posted August 5, 2018 Author Posted August 5, 2018 Just now, Boulderer said: Handling will improve, provided conditions remain dry ? I live in Europe, those are super hard slicks so they don't overheat in this crazy summer weather. Quote
GiantAmbushBeetle Posted August 9, 2018 Author Posted August 9, 2018 SO I did find some 30699 slicks - original post updated with new pics. Also some more stickers and minor tweaks. Quote
Boulderer Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 I think the 30699 tyres are more of an intermediate tread, rather than a true slick Quote
