Technic 2019 Set Discussion

Have read something related before from the internet. It was a picture from a retail store survey sheet, but it also might be fake.

It said that 42093 will be Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and 42096 will be Porsche 911 RSR.

Interesting list if it is true

The supercar i would expect to be interesting, 42075 is in the same ballpark, and for me was an excellent set, id expect something like a simple sprung rear axle, a diff and a V6 or something.

The helicopter, dont know what to expect, but im a sucker for a good helicopter, so that is certain buy

The GT-racer, for a $150 price point (compared to 99 for 42077 and 120 for 42039), id expect some significant extra features, it cant not have a gearbox at that price for instance. 

 

Im not sure how i would feel about both sets being licensed though, on the one hand some of lego's original models tend to look awkward, but licensing usually adds significant cost as well, if the GT car is indeed a porsche, i totally see it being just a 42077 reshell with no added features besides porsche body work and stickers, which would be a pretty poor show, especially since a 911 with gearbox at $150 would massively undercut the GT3RS (if that is still on sale then).

I do hope we get another motorbike though, 42063 will be two years old next december, which is the traditional lifespan. That said, 42039 went away after two years, but wasnt replaced by 42077 untill a year later.

I don't understand why so many cars - 42077 will be still on shelves so it would compete with other ones, I understand cars are probably most popular, but range of 5 is imo too much. RC Tracked racer (42065) was mentioned many times as best selling technic set so direct replacement is understandable.

Same here, but perhaps it's another licensed model designed after a bike that hasn't been revealed yet, and therefore it's going to be a summer set. 

42092 will probably similar to the 8068 from 2011. I'm surprised to see there's two cards in the list, but I'm looking forward to see the GT Race Car, it's going to be smaller than the Porsche and the Bugatti, but still big enough to have real functions and a decent design.

Dang. We only just got the wave 2 sets, maybe 2 weeks ago, and already we're speculating about the next ones to come out? Relax guys, enjoy the expensive-as-heck sets you just purchased, take the time to revive your wallet, and then, maybe, we can speculate about possible new sets and think about blowing more money on even more Technic.

All I'm gonna say for now is that I hope some of these cars have decent shaping, and there had better be a gearbox in there SOMEWHERE!!! And NOT for changing functions!

We know that next year Corvette will have V8 in front of rear axle, so if this is no fake it could be next year's model which is the first Corvette with such engine placement

It's 1H 2016 all over again - a single engineering vehicle standing out amid a swathe of cars and aircraft. Good news for my wallet, and it means any H2 releases from this year can carry over. Cool.

If this is indeed the real 1H2019 list, it gets a big yawn from me. Good thing for the wallet like you said. Regret even more that I didn't buy a third copy of the 42053 Volvo EW160E. That said, there might be one or more sets missing from this list.
