AVCampos Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Is it just me, or "off-road" vehicles nowadays all seem to have tiny ground clearance? Quote

(pic removed) I won't be spoil sport, but have feeling that gear rack housing is light bluish gray (because we already have it since 2017...) A little OT... look at those JCB tyres, they're like a near perfect reallife version of Lego Claas tyres. Would become a huge MOC though... Back on topic: looking again at that little grainy image, I think the rack housings are indeed LBG and not yellow, with only the parts around it (beams, connectors etc.) in yellow. Wishing out loud: Hopefully some #2 connectors in yellow... Quote

allanp Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 (edited) I would think toy fair demos were more recent versions than the models used in the tiny blurred images, so there is still hope for the yellow Arocs housing camp! Edited March 14, 2019 by allanp Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 (edited) I'm not particularly eager for the yellow housings because I plan to build the spider crane in red with the more common LBG or red housings Edited March 14, 2019 by Ngoc Nguyen Quote

I know. But the official set itself will still be yellow! Plus, it's not unheard of for spider cranes to be yellow, either. Oh, and lo and behold, the outrigger racks on this one are yellow too! Hint hint, TLG... Quote

If you plan to build the crane in red, well red housings are already available, so wouldn't it be good to also have them in yellow for any time in the future when you might need them in yellow? Quote
Jaromir Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Sorry guys, I have been out of topic for a long time. Are you saying that lego technic 42110 will be a Land Rover? Where did you find an info on that? I was thinking is it actually gonna be the super car model as chiron and porsche, then the arithmetic progression would make sense, 42056+27=42083+27=42110 :) Quote
paul_delahaye Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Is this a coincidence that the set number of the rumoured land rover is 42110 and Land Rover used to make a defender 110 model...…...ohhhh Quote
Seasider Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 A new tv series started in the uk last night called “mission ignition” where 2 teams have to race to reassemble a classic car that’s been taken partially apart. It’s on mid way through the evening (8pm) and interestingly it’s sponsored by Lego Technic and this week it had the Porsche RSR being shown in stages at each advert break. So aimed at late teens and adults who are into cars with that time slot and programme association. Quote
Technicallism Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 42110 - Land Rover = Olive Green Color Quote

AVCampos Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I disagree: if it does come in olive green, it'll be one more colour with an incomplete palette of beams and panels to MOC with. Quote
Magical Duck Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Why would TLG release an off-road vehicle with the Control system, and then immediately follow it with the Land Rover? Aren't people more likely to jump for the licensed set especially if it is also motorized? It is only 180 euros according to Promobricks, so what is the reasoning? Quote
