WhiteFang Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Wow, I am glad to know that there are some other players whom are interested in EBRP too. In the past, I used to write situation update for my own story plot. As for the rest of the ongoing plots, it's a little confusing as some of the other players are not very active. I do need quite a lot of time, to really sort and read and it will take quite a long time. I am trying to do a summary which is good for the current developing kingdoms which has been done. This is WIP index which I am working on, and had been left there due to other commintments. Link to the EBRP Faction Summary I left off with Siloux, who's the one I'm really concerned about, going back to his home. He should have, by now, have settled in . Yes! I wonder what Siloux had been up to, ever since he left Neb Monastery. Symbol of the Nine! Khorne, welcome back after your long break! I love the new banner for the EBRP Faction Summary. It looks nice. Thanks!!
Adam Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 (edited) Strange- for some reason, when I select your link, I must restart the page. I'm sure it's very good, though. If someone could PM me the finished copy... EDIT: Did a quick search and found it. Very extensive! Edited October 18, 2008 by Adam
Zepher Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I would really need a summery, it's to much for me. I can't read 30 pages of really long and complicated posts!
Adam Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 For now, maybe we should revive the character thread and post our characters?
WhiteFang Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I would really need a summery, it's to much for me. I can't read 30 pages of really long and complicated posts! To be honest, giving a summary for all players is hard, especially the amount of reading I have to do with such limited amount of time I had. I had actually been trying to follow and do a EBRP Faction Summary at the link above. It's actually involving you to create a fiction characters in the kingdom which your character is associated to and write a story about it and interact it with other players if the current story plot did not colide with it. For now, there is quite a lot of kingdoms which are available for other players to use. In fact, you can join any kingdom you wish, such as being part of Black Knights Kingdom or Dragon Masters Kingdom. The disadvantage will be, there is a hierarchy actually developed by current players and is being continued at the moment. You can create a mysterious traveler or whatever, look at the character thread for some inspiration. For now, maybe we should revive the character thread and post our characters? If you have new character to post into EBRP, feel free to post. I am supposed you are familar with the character thread format. Do read the first post for some refresher. EBRP General Information and Character Thread A sample of one of my Characters in EBRP Playable CharacterName: Lord Kenneth Valise Type: Human Alignment: White Age: 24 Faction: Black Knights Kingdom Appointment: Commander of White Fang Force (Specialzed in archer battalion) Weapon: Blessed Sword (Known to have immense healing power) Defence Equipment: Steel Armor, Dragon Shield, Dragon Helmet and General Robe Steed: 'Raven', his personal steed. Background: Born in the realms of Black Knights Kingdom, Kenneth was brought up by his father, Lord Hector whom is a brilliant and impartial general whom was the Commander of White Fang Force. Kenneth was trained in the School of Knights at a tender age. Equipping with sound combat and tactical knowledge, he was able to complete missions dedicated by the King himself. "Blessed Sword" is the weapon which was presented to him in front of others in "Graduation Tournament". This sword is an enchanted sword that has immense healing power to heal others. Kenneth and the sword seemed to have an affinity with each other which is so mysterious. Over the years, Lord Kenneth was able to rise up in the ranks to take over as White Fang Force as a commander. With his father promoted to Imperial Guards Commander with a different agenda, Kenneth and his friends took over the reins of the respective army in the kingdom, training those young and well by the previous commanders’ holders as an advisor. This will be the start of a brand new chapter for his journey into this magical kingdom. An image of my character.
Dragonator Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 (edited) Well, it appears that little seems to be happening here, so I am proposing the following idea, which will hopefully work for all. I hope nobody minds me taking the initiative and posting this the revival post in adventure thread. The way I see it, we need to start doing something, not just let this slip away again, and as nobody else is doing anything, I'll just have to do it and hope you all agree. A month has passed. People who were already playing can continue their stories from where they left off, just with a small time difference, while any new players looking to join can easily integrate themselves into the game without needing to read any of the previous posts. I think that this particular idea will work with the majority of players, and should hopefully attract some more people to play, as it allows both the continuation of old story lines, as well as a break so that new people can easily join up with out feeling they're intruding on what other's are already doing. New Players. If you are looking to play but don't have a clue as to what's going on, don't worry! Simply visit the first post in this thread and follow the links to find out the basic information. Then, think of a character, make sure he or she is realistic, chose a faction etc (guidelines are in the first post of the character thread), and start posting! There is no set standard for what you post, other than that you cannot type anything that contradicts another player, and of course you must be sensible. Other than that, the only limit is your imagination! For more information and a full set of the very simple and easy to follow rules, check out the General Information Thread. There are not many, and it is not hard to follow them. Now, let's get playing! EDIT: The game has been refreshed, starting at post #440 (on page 30). Feel free to start or continue your stories at any time. Remember, have fun, and enjoy yourselves! If you have any questions, ask me or WhiteFang, and we will be happy to help. Zepher Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I'll join in a bit, just got to photograph my charater!
Adam Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I as well! Thanks for the info, but: can we use Brickforge items?
WhiteFang Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I as well! Thanks for the info, but: can we use Brickforge items? Yes, Brickforge items is allowed. I don't see it as a problem, unless your character is out of control.
Inertia Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I as well! Thanks for the info, but: can we use Brickforge items? As long as your character isn't sporting MegaGuns and SPARTAN Armor, yes I do believe Dragonator has used some Brickforge items in his battle scene at the gorge...
Dragonator Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 As long as your character isn't sporting MegaGuns and SPARTAN Armor, yes I do believe Dragonator has used some Brickforge items in his battle scene at the gorge... Indeed, I used some elven spears as pikes, as well as a Dragon Sword and one of their black shields. So yes, definitely aloud.
Inertia Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 We need Whitefang's Dead thread reviving skills, the activity on EBRP seems limited to me, Draggy, ImperialScouts and Whitefang himself... I think we need more players.
WhiteFang Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 We need Whitefang's Dead thread reviving skills, the activity on EBRP seems limited to me, Draggy, ImperialScouts and Whitefang himself... I think we need more players. I will try and post my fair share soon. The problem is, I am quite busy with other things at the moment, and I need to read through my posts again to refresh some of my memories. Meanwhile, the rest of you could continue with their stories first.
Zepher Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Posting of my character will happen tomorrow or Tuesday!
WhiteFang Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 But where do I post it, exactly? EBRP General Information and Character thread Post it in the above link. By the way, follow the specify format and make sure your character is within boundaries. Look at the last few entries for a clearer picture.
Zepher Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) I was planning too, thanks! Few quick questions, if you're still there and don't mind. 1) Can he be a leader of that race? 2) Do the Orcs alreasy have a leader? 3) What's a Non-playable Character. Is it a character you control, but isn't your main? Edited November 4, 2008 by Zepher
WhiteFang Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I was planning too, thanks!Few quick questions, if you're still there and don't mind. 1) Can he be a leader of that race? 2) Do the Orcs alreasy have a leader? 3) What's a Non-playable Character. Is it a character you control, but isn't your main? No problem. Yes, he can be a leader of that race, if you are willing to spend lots of time to develop it. I believe the orcs have a leader but I forgotten whom is it at the moment. In the past, Batbrick had used an orc for his first character submission and he has started his story somewhere but did not continue for a long time. Take a quick glance of all submitted characters. It should be easy to notice how many orcs characters are there. Similar, Inertia has taken Dwarves as clans, and had used Thunderhammer Clan as one. Now, do you intend to place orcs as tribes? I don't really have any qualms but you must specify that it is a tribe instead of a kingdom. Kingdom are much organised compared to a tribe. As for non-playable character, it actually refers to your supporting characters which support your main characters' main roles in your story but is still under your direct control, depending on the scenario itself. For example in Dromindur, Dragon Master Kingdom, which is primarily under Dragonator. I had assigned my Knight, "Lee" to fight together in his conquest against the Scorpion Knights. Therefore, during this period, Dragonator will control Lee until I regain my control in the future. There are only a very few veteran players whom had created lots of NPCs. This is not really a game, but more of an interaction game which is told via story writing. There will be interaction with one another when our characters are bumped into each other. Take note, main character cannot be controlled by others except the player itself.
Zepher Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I understand RP's, I've played many online. Yeah, I think I'll do it as a clan leader,. TinyPies used lots of Orcs, is he still playing lots? Oh well, either way, I'll post my character, and maybe interdouce him in the story tomorrow!

You may procced to do your Orcs Clan/Tribe for your main character and include any non-playable characters along your story development. I will try and combine the orcs' summary and include it into EBRP Faction Summary, so it will be much easier to understand. TinyPiesRUs had not been posted for a long time as well. I think it will not create a major impact. Just go ahead.
Zepher Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) Just did, he's the Head of the Gregul clan! Is he alright? Edited November 4, 2008 by Zepher
WhiteFang Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Just did, he's the Head of the Gregul clan!Is he alright? I had moved it to the right place. By the way, bold the headings such as name, age, background and etc. Amend it from there. This is a good start for your first offical EBRP Post. I will comment on your pictures later as I could not view any Photobucket's images due to the firewall.
Zepher Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Fair enough, I'll assume that's why you never comment on any of my creations

Yep, making a Clan or Tribe allows other players to contribute to the faction as well, but Dragonator has other players to help him out with the running of his kingdom as well, For example, I have Thaddius, who's the leader of a Division of Air-Marshalls, you aren't limited to only one faction in the EBRP, so go for it! And also, we at the Dragon Masters kingdom always need new... Minions... I mean, Loyal soldiers... And... As an Orc Faction, don't expect my Dwarves to be showing much compassion... Finally, have fun!
Zepher Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I think as long as someone posts once a day, we should be able to revive the thread. More people will be interested. Still, if you older and respected members could rope in some new player
