WhiteFang Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 And... As an Orc Faction, don't expect my Dwarves to be showing much compassion... Perhaps, you and Zepher could engage and interact with each other with your characters. Lord Kenneth and Master Pent are still too busy dealing with the Black Wraith Demons and finding the Symbol of the Nine and Book of the Dragon Secrets I think as long as someone posts once a day, we should be able to revive the thread. More people will be interested. Still, if you older and respected members could rope in some new player Great start to your first post. Each of us can only post one entry per day, due to the EBRP rules. Yes, we could always rope in new players whom are truly keen to particpate and understand EBRP. By the way, I had seen your characters' images. They look good, except for the farmer. Don't know why, I felt he looks "too city".
Pickerel Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I think as long as someone posts once a day, we should be able to revive the thread. More people will be interested. Still, if you older and respected members could rope in some new player Your devious, hypnotic tactics have worked, I'm interested! ~Pickerel P.S. Although it sounds fun, perhaps I should read the rules first?
Zepher Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 He's really a sort of sig-fig for me, so it was kinda a joke
WhiteFang Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 P.S. Although it sounds fun, perhaps I should read the rules first? Pickerel, if you are interested in EBRP. It will be best familar with all rules and topics related. This is some of the summarised information here, which I have provided earlier to interested players. If you have any questions or concern, please drop it in here.

Actuallly, I do have a few questions! I'm confused on the whole "no animals to be your character" rule. Can you be, for example, an orc? Also, do we get to choose where we start on the map? To move our story along, can we make locations and non-playable characters? Thanks again, ~Pickerel
WhiteFang Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I'm confused on the whole "no animals to be your character" rule. Can you be, for example, an orc? Orcs are not classified as animals' origin. The rules refer to no domestic animals such as dog, cat, pig or magical enhancted creatures such as Unicorn, Centars, Dragons and etc. TLG has created orcs as a faction itself, thus its allowed to be used in EBRP. Also, do we get to choose where we start on the map? Yes, you can choose to start on any location on the map. It's best if you could browse through the players' current story plot to check what is the current key events happening at that moment. This is to prevent clashes among other players, but its defintely alright to choose whether you have intentions to cross path with other players. To move our story along, can we make locations and non-playable characters? In some grids, there are some locations which have been created by other players. You could either make use of the current location or include a new name for the location and specifiy clearly at the start of the post where you write your location. Non-playable characters are encouraged to be added in your story plot development. Hope these answers helped.
Pickerel Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Hope these answers helped. They did! I'll probably join in around a couple weeks! ~Pickerel P.S. Thanks for your quick reply!
Zepher Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 No one's posted. Also, confused. One post a day means each person can post only once a day, not that there can only be one post a day, right?
WhiteFang Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Also, confused. One post a day means each person can post only once a day, not that there can only be one post a day, right? Correct. This is to give time for other players to react accordingly and allow time for story development to prevent overwhelming posts which could clutter the stories. Furthermore, movement across grids is normally 1 day or so if you need to move to other places.
Pickerel Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 (edited) Zepher, if you really want people join that badly you could always put a banner or link saying "Join the EBRP" and a few words of praise. Never doubt the power of the sandwich board! ~Pickerel EDIT (Didn't want to double-post! ): I've got another question! When I'm ready to post my character/s do I need to make character sheets for the non-playable ones? Edited November 6, 2008 by Pickerel
WhiteFang Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Zepher, if you really want people join that badly you could always put a banner or link saying "Join the EBRP" and a few words of praise. Create your own banner which revolve around your plot and others. It don't have to be something big. Make it small and interesting. There are a few banners which have been created from me, Khorne and Dragonator. I've got another question! When I'm ready to post my character/s do I need to make character sheets for the non-playable ones? It's best to create non-playable characters profile as well, to illustrate better understanding.
Scouty Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Correct. This is to give time for other players to react accordingly and allow time for story development to prevent overwhelming posts which could clutter the stories. Furthermore, movement across grids is normally 1 day or so if you need to move to other places. 1 day on foot, 2 day on horse. 1 millisecond if you cheat
Zepher Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Correct. This is to give time for other players to react accordingly and allow time for story development to prevent overwhelming posts which could clutter the stories. Furthermore, movement across grids is normally 1 day or so if you need to move to other places. Which one is correct? Zepher, if you really want people join that badly you could always put a banner or link saying "Join the EBRP" and a few words of praise.Never doubt the power of the sandwich board! ~Pickerel EDIT (Didn't want to double-post! ): I've got another question! WhiteFang Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Q:How fast can we travel?A:It takes 2 days to cross 1 square when you're on foot and 1 day per square on horseback (dragonback, boat, etc.). Which one is correct? This is the correct explaination. Take a few moments and read through the rules again if you don't understand. ImperialScouts, get your Siloux back to what he should be doing. Geez, I don't know what you are intending to do with him by sending him back. By the way, Cecil is still with me in Neb Monastery.
Scouty Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Okay, okay, geez louise! Cecil is all for you to use, I'm just concentrating on Siloux now
Adam Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 *yawn* I've posted a starter character, and will continue tommorow.
WhiteFang Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 *yawn* I've posted a starter character, and will continue tommorow. Do me a favour. Amend this empty post, and fill it with your another character of yours in the future. Thanks. Link
WhiteFang Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Yo, siloux, where do you live? Siloux never specify its location inside the story thread.
Zepher Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 That's why I'm asking. Or is it meant to be a mystery?
WhiteFang Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 That's why I'm asking. Or is it meant to be a mystery? No, it's not meant to be a mystery. The player must specify its location even if the player have done time dimension thing, it will also have to specify like what Aluvar have done before. ImperialScouts, merely forget to place his location. I am waiting for him to advice us his current location. I know he is somewhere in Forestmen Kingdom though.
Zepher Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Okay, posting tomorrow! Someone post something before that! Got to keep the game alive!
Zepher Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Thanks for breathing life back into the game Inertia! Now, just keep it up team!
Inertia Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Haha, I forgot to add to my Dwarves! Now if we can keep the activity level up high, I see a lot of fun on the horizon!
WhiteFang Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Inertia and Zepher, thanks for continuing the EBRP posting once again. We have taken quite a fair bit of resting though. Let's hope we could get our stories going instead of daggling it around. By the way, Zepher, where is your character? Could you specify his grids?
