Greyfox327 Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 (edited) As the title says, they're making a G.I. Joe movie and releasing it in August 2009. I wanted to know if anyone else is excited too. Below are links of Ray Park as Snake-Eyes,(The one with a katana. ) Channing Tatum as Duke, Sienna Miller as the Baroness, and Dennis Quaid as General Hawk. (Note: Duke is out of costume, and it is believed this is before she becomes Baroness.) Snake-Eyes Duke The Baroness General Hawk Discuss. Edited March 30, 2008 by Greyfox327 Quote

I don't care if you don't like it. First reply! Whooooo! But, yes Eccleston is Destro in it.Wonder how they'll pull that off.... Oh, and pics are public now.(I got so used to deep-linking that I forgot about that!I was too lazy to resize the pics.) Quote
AgentRick Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I'd bee interested if it's like the recent Transformers movie: a decent remake of a classic 80's series. Plus the pictures still aren't public. Quote
Greyfox327 Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 Gaaaahhh! I've fixed the links. Snake-Eyes Duke The Baroness General Hawk They're supposed to be basing it on the Marvel comics. I think they got Snake-Eyes perfect. Quote
Brainbox Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I'm not at all familiar with GI Joe, but I might go and see the film anyway. I know enough to say that Snake Eyes looks really good though. Quote
Greyfox327 Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 The comics are hard to come by, so, unless you watched the original show or the new version, you won't know much. Quote
Greyfox327 Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 Here's Snake-Eyes from the comics in case you've never seen him before: http://www.answers.com/topic/snakeeyesposter-jpg-1 The cast is as follows, Channing Tatum --- Duke Dennis Quaid --- General Hawk Joseph Gordon-Levitt --- Cobra Commander (Yes, I know) Sienna Miller --- The Baroness Rachel Nichols --- Scarlett Christopher Eccleston --- Destro Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje --- Heavy Duty Arnold Vosloo --- Zartan Marlon Wayans --- Ripcord (AAHHH!!!) captaintau Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. Fantastic. And Destro. We need Stalker - he was one of the best of the comics. Quote
Greyfox327 Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 (edited) Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. Fantastic. And Destro. We need Stalker - he was one of the best of the comics. Stalker would complete the "un-named war" trio of Storm Shadow, Snake-Eyes and Stalker. I hope we see Kamakura and some B.A.T.s too. Edited March 30, 2008 by Greyfox327 Quote
Buckshot Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I'm excited to see it, Greyfox327--one of the few movies that I'll go to the theater for. Curious to see how they're going to incorporate the old story for the movie--for example, Snake Eyes, Stalker, and Storm Shadow served together in Vietnam, which would make them a wee bit old for battles of world-supremacy. Maybe Lego will pick up the movie license....probably not, but how cool would that be? Actually, weren't there some G.I.Joe non-Lego brick sets released a while back? Quote

Well there was a few sets called built to rule...or something like that. A few years back i created alot of GI Joe vehicles and custom figs, so i would love to get proper lego versions. Quote

Devil's Due Comics changed the war they served in to an un-named conflict in southeast Asia. I'm worried they might try to change the reason Snake-Eyes is mute, and try to pair Duke and Scarlett up in a romance.(It was Snake-Eyes and Scarlett in the comics.) But, as I said, they're supposed to be basing it off of the Marvel comics. And, yes, Built to Rule made a G.I. Joe line, but, it used the 3 3/4 inch figs. I think that the new Agents line is going to try and mimic G.I. Joe. The van reminds of the R.O.C.C. from Sigma 6. Quote
