It’s fun to read this thread and see all of the sets that ‘will never be made’ (for valid reasons) and know just how many have been made since posted.

But I can name a figure that will never be made: P2 cody

..why? even if the shuttle doesn't have helmets, WHICH WE DO NOT KNOW YET, they'd definitely do their helmets within the next year or two. This doesn't make any sense, it's not something they'd never produce, it's just cynicism based on very sketchy rumors.

Not sure if anyone has said it, but a C-9979 Landing Craft will probably never be made outside of mini scale.

Yeah, they're waaaaaay too big.

Somehow nobody's mentioned it but I don't think they'll ever do a Trade Federation Control ship at any sort of scale for minifigures (i.e. excluding the Advent Calendar one). Too many curves, or would have to be too large to fit any minifigure space inside and thus be too risky a proposition.

They'll never do a whole lot of stuff from Clone Wars because it's not "relevant", but especially not that Jedi shuttle from later seasons with a completely round and clear bubble canopy.

Any Naboo Royal starship also seems highly unlikely once again given the curves, shaping, and scale that would be needed to fit any minifigures inside.

In a similar vein I'd say a Home One model (notwithstanding the interior set from a few years back). Mostly because of the necessary curvature required and also the lack of distinguishing features that such a ship possesses. It took them years to put out any sort of Nebulon B, whose angular design lends itself much better to Lego, so I can't see a curved capital ship showing up anytime soon.

We got the Azure Angel from the 03 CW in 18 so anything can happen. That Jedi Shuttle is one of the few Clone Wars sets that I would say is on the table since it is so prominent. I would also say a Twilight rerelease could be on the cards as well.

Now, Hondo Ohnaka’s flying saucer, that’s one we’ll never get.

Realistically, after they pulled the osprey despite it already having been produced and shipped to stores, and even stopped marketing for police sets for awhile, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say to avoid controversy we'll be unlikely to get another jabba's palace set with exterior, figures or huttslayer leia and oola, etc.

Especially considering last time, I agree.

How about The Millenium Falcon fighting the Borg Cube in First Contact, that would be a nice cross over set! Funny Easter Egg BTW. I could see it in the mirco fighter series sets.

I remember a time when a 46cm tall buildable Chewbacca with "UCS Plaque" for 200€/$ would've fit right in this thread ='D

Anyway, rereading a couple of the past comments it's fun to notice how many of our suggestions (serious or otherwise) were actually made:
- Phase 2 Cody
- Mon Calamari Star Cruiser (albeit midi-scale)
- Scene from order 66 (Kelleran Beq's escape)
- "Huttslayer" Leia
- Nebulon B Frigate (Again, only in midi-scale and exclusive to boot)
- UCS AT-AT

I guess in some ways they still manage to surprise us
