Well, we have a thread for favorite Marvel superhero, why not one for DC comics?

My favorite would have to be either the Flash or Plastic Man(Even though plastic doesn't stretch |-/ ). What's yours?

I'd say the Flash as well, esp. the way he was portrayed in the JLA/JLU cartoon.

Now THIS is more like it. Easy though, Batman, he's easily the greatest superhero in the history of forever.

After that, most incarnations on Superman, and the Flash is great too. I'll add the animated incarnation of The Question too, simply awesome. I'll add more later.

Stalking iamded! *skull*

Batman Beyond/Batman of the Future. Because that cartoon is one of my favourites ever.

Batman and Superman, of course!!!! ;-)

I'm not too keen on my heroes. so I'll just wing it. Mine's a tie between Captain America, and IronMan. Captain America wins.

IronMan gets best dressed though *wub*

Not really too in to DC...but both the wife and I read this guy's monthly titles...

As you can probably notice by my avatar and sig, my absolute favorite is Superman :'-)

I can't really explain why, I just know I loved it since I first saw "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman"

And now with Smallville, that's the best Superman-series so far *wub* of course it's not really Superman, but you know what I mean :-$

And I really love Superman Returns as well ;-)

I'd have to say Batman, but really I'll read anything DC. Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, GL, GA, Justice League, Titans, etc.

I do quite like Babs Gordon as well. Batbrick knows all about that. ;-)

Batman, hands down. The Long Halloween is one of the best graphic novels I've ever read, and I just really like the character. Reading The Dark Knight Returns at the moment, and am thoroughly looking forward to the Dark Knight Movie this July!

Yes, I don't get the hate DC receives, its got just as many great superheroes as Marvel has. (Better if you ask me)

As for Babs, I'm starting to worry about you...

You are my new best friend, TLH is brilliant, and to think BB1 had the nerve to call it only "Rather good" X-D

EDIT: Funny that I only saw your sig after I made that comment.

Batbrick Away! >:-)

Hate to burst yer bubble, but those are Marvel characters. ;-)

Mine's probably the Teen Titans. From the cartoon. :-D All 5 of them. They're awesome. :-P

Where was your picture from anyway?

I agree. I'd much rather read any DC comic that any Marvel one.

Yes, all right, so I can't express enthusiasm.

Where was your picture from anyway?

The old Birds of Prey TV Series that lasted one season about 6 years ago. It played fast and loose with DC continuity and characters, but was slightly entertaining. And it had a bevy of super-hotties on it so it wasn't all bad ;-)

So what is it exactly you love about her so much?

I agree. I'd much rather read any DC comic that any Marvel one.

Yes, me too. Not to say marvel is bad, I just find DC a whole world more interesting, not to mention it has a plethora of better villains.

:-$

No, i'm serious, you may have a problem :-P

Yes, all right, so I can't express enthusiasm.

I've noticed, but atleast you don't go emote overload like I sometimes do. Still, you did enjoy TLH yes? And it has Green Ivy for you too ;-)

I wondered whether it might have been from there. I think I read earlier it's finally being released on DVD.

So what is it exactly you love about her so much?

I... don't really know. Maybe it's the red hair (which would also explain Ivy. And, um, Miss Martian), maybe it's the glasses, maybe it's just a combination of things. But come on... can you really say she doesn't look good in that pic?

No, i'm serious, you may have a problem :-P

Add to the list the aforementioned Miss Martian, and Zatanna Zatara. Actually, you may be right...

Still, you did enjoy TLH yes?

Oh yes. I'm a huge fan of Loeb's writing anyway, especially his run on Superman/Batman (I enjoyed the dual narration), and Sale's artwork is fantastic. They're definitely one of my favourite creative team partnerships.

And it has Green Ivy for you too ;-)

Um... check out my first post in the DC Villains thread.

Admittingly she does look very good in that pic, though it really doesn't explain the preference over Batgirl (when she was still able to use her legs).

Scary, though I admittingly have a small list of Talia, Black Canary, Wonderwoman and, erm.......Babs a little.

I love Sale's work too, though his Joker has a bit of an extended jawline. My one criticism of Loeb is his whole mystery killer angle, which has worn thin by Hush I'd say.

Um... check out my first post in the DC Villains thread.

(Looks)

Oh dear, what will we do with you....

Batbrick Away! >:-)

That has absolutely nothing to do with it, but strangely it's not something I can explain.

I would agree with you there, though it depends on the artist. Ed Benes Birds Of Prey Canary (different inker to his Justice League work) was quite, you know.

and, erm.......Babs a little.

I knew it! I knew it! It's not just me...

I love Sale's work too, though his Joker has a bit of an extended jawline.

Yeah, perhaps, but I suppose that just adds to the style. I mean, have you seen some of his characters eyebrows!?

That has absolutely nothing to do with it, but strangely it's not something I can explain.

Preference of character maybe? Or you just don't got love for that cowl? X-D

Theres always bad depictions. I loved the long Halloween, but what was up with Selina Kyle looking like a man during the Poison Ivy segment, saying of all things that he needed a feminine touch?

I knew it! I knew it! It's not just me...

Okay, I admit it! Now stop gloating or I'll be forced to engage in a pun fight!

Yeah, perhaps, but I suppose that just adds to the style. I mean, have you seen some of his characters eyebrows!?

Not to mention Alberto's ears...

Funny how we managed to sidetrack the conversation to the women of DC eh? We have some serious bias skill here.

Batbrick Away! >:-)

We get to see the glasses when she's not wearing the cowl. Maybe that's it...

Hmm, I missed the ' ;-) ' after 'you know.' I meant to say that I liked it/her, rather than didn't. As for Selina, wait till I get home tomorrow and I'll go and have a look, see what you mean.

Okay, I admit it! Now stop gloating or I'll be forced to engage in a pun fight!

I'd win... >:-)

That a complaint?

We get to see the glasses when she's not wearing the cowl. Maybe that's it...

Or maybe it could be her entire face :-P

I'll admit though that she looks better as Oracle, probably (for me anyway) a combination of more style, more attitude and less ripoff of the Dark night.

Ah I see, I though you could've meant that, as I can barely understand you ramblings sometimes X-D

Still, that page in TLH is a bit weird....

I'd win... >:-)

I know, but is that a good thing really?

That a complaint?

Not at all, I'm fairly comfortable here...

Perhaps. But glasses and red hair...

And I'll even forego mentioning that Bats seems to have become part of the Sun's rotation...

Still, that page in TLH is a bit weird....

I've just had a look, and yeah, I see what you mean...

Do you know who we've not mentioned? Mary Marvel. As long as she's wearing white. But nthat's probably just the cutesy innocense and the short skirt...
