Posted March 28, 200816 yr EDIT 6/4/08: I have updated Mule with more accurate details. Check out the Flickr here. Hello everyone. Fans of the series Firefly will know that the destruction of the Mule ATV was completely necessary in rescuing Mal. More importantly, it made way for the super cool Flying Mule in Serenity and the comic book Better Days. Link to version 2.Picture is a link. Take a look around my pictures for more details and excuses. Hopefully you guys will enjoy this and give me some feedback. Cheers, LT
March 28, 200816 yr Fantastic! As a Browncoat myself I'd have to say you've done a great job of the old Mule, great construction. I love the Jane minifig too, that head suits him perfectly. Stalking iamded! *skull*
March 29, 200816 yr Great work! Since it has such an odd shape it's quite hard to do at that scale. It's a shame that the series didn't last long enough to become as expanded as Star Wars or Star Trek is as there are so few FireFly MOCs to do. Next you should do Serenity at the same scale... >:-)
March 29, 200816 yr Hey, that looks pretty good! Check this out: picture is link Christopher Doyle is a genius.
March 29, 200816 yr You really did a good job by capturing the unique shape of the original, Lord Thrawn, a cool MOC with fine details and the interior looks great too. Your MF characters work very well too, just lovely! :'-) *y*
April 1, 200816 yr Author Thanks alot people. It went through a tonne of redesigning from my old Mule.
April 1, 200816 yr That looks really good. It really captures the design in the movie. And since a full scale Serenity is out of the realm of possibility for most builders, how about one of the smaller Reaver ships to chase this thing around with? I think it might be a challenge to do Reaver mini-figs without customization. Hrmmm, a challenge. -Tohst
April 1, 200816 yr Author I did actually have a go in 2006. Here's the gallery. Looking back I could have done a much better job.
April 6, 200816 yr Author I've upated the Flying Mule to a 3rd Version. Picture is link. Hopefully this will be the final version. Keep commenting!
April 6, 200816 yr Hopefully this will be the final version. Keep commenting! That I will! Fantastic wok here, it is even more faithful and better looking. Whats even better is that you have retained the Mule's "ugly" look from the film without literally being ugly, thats a hard thing to do. As it stands, it looks great, and you've inspired me to watch the series and film again! (I own them on DVD) Batbrick Away! >:-)
April 6, 200816 yr Yep, it looks a little smoother now, and I like what you did with these colorful round 1x1 plates. *y*
April 7, 200816 yr This is exactly like I remember it from the movie *sweet* I have often said "This will (hopefully) be my final version", but there have always been something to improve. New bricks appear and you discover new techniques. It never ends! X-D
