Zarkan Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 i hope i get a title Whoops. Sorry dude, but you just made the big mistake you're not supposed to make if you want a title. Quote
Chuck Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 i hope i get a title Its kind of like reverse psychology; If you say you want a title, you are telling them you don't want a title. But if you say you don't want a title, you still won't get a title. -Chuck i hope i get a title Its kind of like reverse psychology; If you say you want a title, you are telling them you don't want a title. Hinckley Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 The best advice I can give to people without titles is to not even post in this topic. Just friendly advice, from experience. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I still wonder why this thread is kept alive. Because eventually there will be someone with a legitimate question? Quote
Chuck Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 dejavu... I don't even know how that happened -Chuck Quote
hollisbrick Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Why does it matter that you do or dont have a title anyway? It's just there for fun it dosnt really have any "importance" as such. Lego is why we're here Quote
Opproperaar Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 (edited) Because eventually there will be someone with a legitimate question? That would be a legitimate argument were it not for the very specific FAQ provided as well as thirty topic pages full of people either trying to get a title or asking questions because they were too lazy to read the FAQ. Deinonychus Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 What you can do is suggest a title for someone else that you want yourself...in a fit of poetic justice the Mods will assign you the title you wanted to stick onto some poor schmuck... <--------- Thusly Quote
iamded Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 So, how does one keep from getting a title¿ Say, "I want a title!!!1". I don't even know how that happened -Chuck I discovered if you post soon after a previous one of your posts, it automatically merges them together. You must have accidentally double-posted, and it merged them. ~Peace Quote
Batbrick Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) Say, "I want a title!!!1". The "1" always gets me, why do people do that? Are they trying to put a "!" mark in? I discovered if you post soon after a previous one of your posts, it automatically merges them together. You must have accidentally double-posted, and it merged them.~Peace Yes, this has happened a few times to me, it is fairly embarrassing. Still, looking through an old 2006 Batman thread, a spammer managed to get twice the limit of emoticons with this "cheat"! A guy tried to quote him but couldn't! Batbrick Away! Scouty Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 The "1" always gets me, why do people do that? Are they trying to put a "!" mark in? The explanation I heard is: Some kids were posting while being real excited, or whatever, so they forget to hold down the shift key, and thus procure this "fad". It's pretty silly Quote

Lego is why we're here People seem to think you get respect or it grants you ultimate power if you get it. I for one think that it gives one an eternal supply of asiago cheese. Thats just my opinion, though. -Chuck Quote

Siegfried Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 I don't even know how that happened -Chuck I do. It must be a board bug. I just hit edit on a topic, and when I finished editing I noticed the button said "Reply" rather than "Submit modified post". I pressed it anyway and hey-presto, instant double post. Quote
