No, but I'd guess around somewhere £400, given that it's US price is in between that of  Rivendell/Avengers Tower  ($500/£430) and  gringots ($430/£370)

I've been out of the Lego game for a while, but coming back to get Rivendell & Barad-Dur, is a bonus points event to be expected?

In other words should I wait June 1st to get Rivendell or it doesn't matter at all?

I don't think there are any special offers with points. It really comes down to 2 things:
1) Do you want the GWP of the Fell-Beast w/3 minifigs?
or 2) Do you not really care about a GWP?
If 1, buy ASAP!
If 2, hold off until a general 2x VIP points day. Both should be in stock plenty of time for you to wait on that.
I'm also not entirely sure if you can get the GWP with either Rivendell or Barad-Dur, or if it us just Barad-Dur.

I wouldn't say foolish by any means, but I'm going forward assuming the worst and that these are the only sets we'll get (just the pessimist in me).

Optimistically, though, with the new film set for 2026, it makes all the sense in the world from a marketing standpoint to release some sort of batch of LOTR sets around the time of the film's release. Add the continued presence of the Rings of Power, coupled with the December release for War of the Rohirrim, LOTR has a strong presence in the wider culture. I feel if there were ever a time to re-visit/re-boot the theme full blast it's now.

After the last Castle GWP disappointment with 1 new minifig print, there is no way this can do justice to 3 new detailed figs.

The fellbeast and the Witch king might come in the big set right? Then they can swap the other king with a hobbit and use the 1 print for Eowyn. Or else it's probably some other figs from another scene..
The fellbeast would probably look best with some moulded parts and not only basic bricks, but probably not happening in a GWP. However sound like a interesting GWP I look forward to see

I'm definitely getting Barad-dur day 1 for the GWP, was just curious if there was any point waiting to buy Rivendell on June 1st too with a x2 points, but seems like I don't need to wait :)

If by the big set you mean Barad-Dur then the minifigs have been already leaked and there is no Witch King just regular Nazgul.

I would rather have more orks in there than another Sam and Frodo. They are just more usefull to have more of them, and more than 4 orks would do the tower good anyways.

Are you talking about War of the Rohirrim or the newly announced the Hunt for Gollum movie?

Going back to Barad Dur, I’m so excited to see how many new molds it gets 

Hopefully the entire sword pack will be reused from Rivendell if Sting is included. Hopefully the Orcs have hair and I think the green Orcs could look quite like the old Moria orcs with pointed ears. The brown orcs sound more like the Uruks from Cirith Ungol so they might look like the old Lurtz figure without pointed ears. 
 

For new molds in hoping for at least 7: a new body and arms for Gollum, Sauron’s helmet, the Mouth’s helmet, an Orc helmet for Frodo and a new hair-ear piece for the Orcs

I don't think sets are typically revealed on Sundays, so we'll probably see what it looks like (and possibly even the GWP) on Monday or Tuesday, if my guess.

I'll be in Lake Buena Vista FL the week before June 1st, so I'll be able to go to the Disney Springs LEGO Store if it has an early VIP release. Fingers crossed! Last time I was there at Christmas, I bought Rivendell. My family knows I'm an AFOL, so between my VIP points and LEGO gift cards, I didn't need any real money 👍

The level of detail on the eye bodes well for the entire model and suggests they've kept it similar to the survey leak.

I would not hold my breath on this. These two will more likely come in a future Minas Tirith set.

Same- I'd be really annoyed if they locked them behind a super limited GWP.

Looks like a quite effective 'glowing' technique!

Struggling understand the part usage for the iris slit, anybody explain?

It looks like 62361 in trans orange for the slit!

The real question is whether the brown, almost dark tan is the color of the parts or just the lighting (kinda hope its actually black, but of course I need more pics to judge)

Agree about the part, disagree about the colour, I think it's bright light yellow with trans orange parts around it.
