May 14, 2024May 14 It was never going to have the eye-catching beauty of Rivendell, but it's huge and grand in its own right. I love to see the lengths they go to with the Minifigures too.
May 14, 2024May 14 It looks like everything I wanted. The interior looks really promising and the fact you layer it on almost like a modular is brilliant. Anybody else notice what looks like a little side build of Mount Doom with Frodo and the ring?  This is huge and will look great next to Orthanc with the height difference enough be a difference!  I literally cannot wait!

Wish the side build of mount Doom was a bit bigger
May 14, 2024May 14 love the Orcs, them and Sauron are the highlight of the sets figures  I notice that Frodo doesn’t have Sting - I really hope the Rivendell weapons pack isn’t exclusive to that set  The interior of the tower looks incredible - I love the dungeons and what appears to be a feasting roomÂ
May 14, 2024May 14 Someone on Instagram noted that it doesn't feel like a $500 set like Rivendell. I agree, Rivendell had a huge piece count because of the immaculate details which this tower seems to have as well. Neither feel like $500 sets to me (I know piece counts and what not but $400 feels like a better price) Wish Sam and Frodo hac different designs maybe orc ones? Gollum looks interesting too don't know about the glowing eyes though. I know a few star wars characters have that but idk if that fits him.
May 14, 2024May 14 Pictures have been posted by fateful_lego on Instagram  on the back of the box you can see the mount doom sidebuild and it looks like Frodo and Sam are wearing orc helmetsÂ

May 14, 2024May 14 Another home run for the LOTR theme! Everything about the tower looks incredible! Its great to finally have an official Sauron minifigure and I wasn't expecting to see Gothmog included either. The new orcs are also a massive improvement over the original ones with the new molds and increased level of printing.
May 14, 2024May 14 It's an amazing set, no doubt. But I am a little disappointed with the execution of the Sauron minifigure. If any minifigure deserved Woody's long body and legs, it was Sauron. This way he is the same height as the other figures and doesn't seem as threatening to them as he should be. It's a missed opportunity, because LEGO has long body and legs currently in production.
May 14, 2024May 14 Now the fellbeast has leaked albeit a little grainy to begin with! Definitely brick built and looks like an ordinary Nazgûl but can’t see the extra minifigs at this stage.Â

May 14, 2024May 14 I LOVE IT. As someone who has Orthanc and loves it, this looks like such a good modern take on the general concept of that set. Looks absolutely amazing.
May 14, 2024May 14 Figs are great but the structure is just awful. For that kind of money? No thanks. Most expensive battlepack ever :D

May 14, 2024May 14 Thats a huge meh on a first glance… I need to absorb all the emotions right now. But the first one is dissapointment.
May 14, 2024May 14 This version of Barad-Dur is definitely stockier than she should be, with those proportions it should be at least 40% taller. It seems to me that with this set, they focused more on the exclusive minifigs than on the structure. I have no idea on how much it will cost, I imagine a minimum of 400 euros, but unlike Rivendell, this set seems crude to me as well as highly incorrect in proportions. Â We're just not there.
