Beyond excited. Not buying anything for the next few months, saving every cent I have for it. Wasn’t in college yet when Rivendell came out so this is going to be harder to afford but so be it. Learned English through Lego LOTR so this will be bought asap.

My thoughts, too. Hard to wait on buying other stuff, but this news helps put off some other cool sets so I can save for one I'm REALLY excited for.

Medieval village and Viking village are the only two sets I’m interested in and one of them isn’t even released 😂 they’ll have to wait after baradur though

I read that there would be multiple figures included in the Barad Dur set! I’m personally hoping for Frodo and Sam in their Mordor outfits (perhaps their orc disguises), Gollum and some unique orcs!

I am hoping for the $400 version this year :) I wouldn't mind saving the extra hundred (especially if the piece count is 2K lower than Rivendell).  Very excited this is coming out.  Also hoping they have a better GWP this time around.

I would like to see isildur (maybe as a GWP).

Glad we have confirmation Barad-Dur is definitely coming along with a Sauron figure. I'm also hoping it comes with some Last Alliance minifigures. A new Gollum for the dungeons would be welcome too.

At least in France Rivendell is on sale for $465 on Amazon right now. Not as great a deal as double VIP points, but if you have a lot of gift cards now could be a good time to buy.

If I remembered correctly, leaks from the survey affirmed that the exterior would be microscale while the interior would includes playfeatures at minifigure scale like dungeons, armoury, etc.

There will be Isildur for sure. They can reuse the broken Sword. I can't imagine they have us the mould without the Intention to use it more than once.

I am pretty sure we will get elrond, too. He would be cool for a Mount doom sceene and require just a new print.

I want Last Alliance figs as much  as anyone, but there are currently no rumors for any figures aside from Sauron, Sam, Frodo, and some Orcs. Hopefully that has changed since the survey, but I wouldn’t get hopes too high

I wonder if Sauron will be a normal mini figure scale or if they will use the Avatar legs (in a new colour obviously).

then what other figures would they include? Would they redo the mouth of Sauron for example or just be Mordor Orcs and Uruks we don’t actually have many scenes at the tower so it is a bit of a wildcard unless they use figures from when Sam and Frodo dress up as Orcs (which would be pretty cool imo)

I think the Avatar legs would look pretty silly on a figure like Sauron. In my opinion it only works on characters that are supposed to be lanky, like Woody from Toy Story. 
 

Another character that I would love to see but haven’t seen brought up yet, is the Witch King! Sure other sets would be a better fit (especially Minas Tirith), but it would work!

Sauron does have long legs though, he is about nine foot tall in the movies. So longer legs would work and would look even better is paired with an extended torso, but that would need to go between legs and torso unlike the Garmadon ones that go on top. But even without extending the torso, longer legs would be fine to give him some height above the men/elves.

That's true. It would look a bit weird if he was as tall as a regular minifigure. In my opinion the long legs would look a bit weird (although that's probably because my imagination doesn't stretch that far), but with an extended torso it could work. I'm sure whatever they come up with will look great!

I could see them using the long legs and a new armor piece that comes a little further down over the top of the legs to make the proportions work visually.

But this black friday deal confirms that you`ll only need patience to save a hell lot of money when buying Lego Sets.
