Until now for me it has been all playscale LOTR/Hobbit sets, no promo stuff and no BH going forward. Plus for each LOTR set i eventually added 1 sealed copy as well (excluding Orthanc) but did not do the same for Hobbit (no plan to do it in the future either).

I don’t count Comic Con exclusives or in-store build promos but I do count polybags and Brickheadz as far as my own collection goes. I also don’t count the Dimensions sets

Of course you can pick and choose. You buy what you like and don't buy what you don't like. They are brickheadz sets, so anyone wanting to be complete when it comes to minifig sets can choose to collect those and ignore the brickheadz theme. For example, I consider my collection complete even though I don't have the Dimensions sets.

I don't think @kuzyabricks was referring to completionism so much in that comment so much as stating that you cannot discount the Brickheadz from being LotR sets simply because you dislike them.

Yeah for sure! Ofc completionism can be different from everyone but we can't exclude the brickheadz from LOTR sets!

I need clearer pics dang it!!! I wanna see that new axe mold and I wanna see minifig prints! We needs them

I noticed little axel holes in the front of the build...maybe something attaches there? As beautiful as the build is it doesn't look like $500. Maybe there is more we haven't seen yet? Just wishful thinking. I'd love at least one waterfall :/

I cant see the axel holes, where should I be looking. Though considering it's depth isn't obvious from the camera angle, that it's licensed, how tiny the minifigs look in the scene abd that $500 sets are usually around £350ish (at least the castle was, and it's the biggest set I own followed by the Ninjago city gardens and daily bugle ( not sure which of those 2 is bigger). Then I think it looks like a £350 set.

In the same way that you cannot discount Dimensions sets, if you count anything with the LOTR branding on the box.

When it comes to the listing of the brickheadz sets on bricklink, brickset, etc they are under Brickheadz (just like the Dimensions sets are under Dimensions). Same on LEGO's site, they are primarily under brickheadz, with just a link to them from the LOTR page. So anyone getting a list of all the LOTR sets on bricklink or brickset will not find these within the LOTR categories.

I’m not talking about completionism in this instance. I’m not particularly interested in that since I can’t afford all the sets, so I have no stake in how people make theirs.

I’m really more just saying that just because a set looks ugly doesn’t mean it can be discounted from a theme, which is what the previous commentator was stating.

By the end of this week (I really hope!)

Amazing how impatient I get at this stage. There are almost certainly going to be pics leaked with week, and I'm going nuts trying to wait. Go back a few months, though, and I was far more patient with just the bare-bones info and no timeline at all for a reveal. Grateful we have anything to see at all - still in a bit of disbelief there is a large LOTR set to be released in a matter of weeks!!!

Look at Gimli on the bridge. Then look directly down and a little bit to the left. Are those not axel holes? I might be wrong

There’s a LOTR 2 second teaser on the Lego official social media channels. You can see Rivendell in the reflection of the ring in it.

Is it just me or does the teaser picture not look like the leak?

It’s the same, the ring distorts the image.  Think of it like a funhouse mirror.  It looks like the same though if you flip the image and take away the distortion from the ring being round.

it also gives us a better look at the council area which looks great

Oh okay, I thought the yellow tree looked a lot bigger and I didn’t see the roof as tall but that makes sense
