Wow this looks even better than the leaks, so much detail! Absolutely love the trees, the cypress especially :pir-love:

Call me crazy but what's exciting me most is the new ferns though, can think of SO many use cases for them. All the new weapon molds look great but are much less universal than ferns!

Any time there is a new foliage piece I am very interested. Hopefully will be able to get it from pick a brick for a decent price (and maybe in a few colors down the line)

He says at the start of the video "Earlier in 2022".

Dont disagree that more is coming though at some point as survey wouldnt be asking about prices of a set

I missed that. My bad then. Anyway, I strongly feel this is definitely not a one-off set. Maybe the faith of Barad-Dur lies in the sales numbers in upcoming months, but I am sure there will be other sets. so many new moulds specifically developed for LotR. As far as I know TLG, I am strongly convinced that this, is just the beginning :) I hope that Wess Talbott and Mike Psiaki will continue to work on those sets. Wess is passionate about medieval/fantasy/elves themes and Mike, is simply a MIKE. :)

It does right? But then why it is on the anvil (ready to be reforged?) I hope (and believe) that there will be full Narsil/Anduril either here or in a future set(s) :)

Why are we assuming that sword isn't meant to be anduril?

Because it is completely different from the broken one :) Look at the pics and observe the differences :)

This set is truly astonishing. I mean, wow. Definitely in my top 5 sets of all time.

The build uses so many fantastic techniques, and is so unbelievably detailed. A bunch of new weapons moulds too!

The minifigures are all fantastic. Hobbies look great with dual-moulded legs, and Gandalf really benefits from cloaked legs. The techniques they've used for mini-legs and skirt pieces sitting down is so cool too.

The only thing I really don't like is the new elven hairpiece. It works terribly for Legolas.

Gotcha. There's been so much content to absorb I hadn't had a chance to look to close at that part yet.

Got a source on that? If that's the case I probably won't ever get it :cry_sad:

Where did he hint? Any interviews out yet?

If you go to lego.com it goes with an exclusive tag, usually means that its almost impossible to find it cheaper elsewhere

This is the first set in a very long time that I’ve immediately loved. It looks gorgeous. 😍 I’m so excited. I cannot wait to purchase and get it set up in a display case next to all my other LOTR Lego set displays. I have a major birthday coming up in April. Fingers crossed my family is feeling generous. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Anyone have a good head I could get to replace arwen's? The one from 2013 is way too expensive so if anyone has any alternatives please let me know asap!!!

It's not perfect, but I think the Mantis/Bellatrix Lestrange/Madam Rosmerta face is a better fit in my opinion.

The mantis face will work very well thank you!

I’ve been soaking the pictures in all morning. What a beauty.
I wonder if the shard of Narsil portends an original battle set, with Sauron, Isildur, and Elrond. Perhaps with Mt doom.

This is by far my favorite location set. Might be the best aesthetic design of all time. The only area it's missing to be the best set is structural/technic skeleton, and that's not a failing of the set but simply that it doesn't require one.

Holy crap!  It's $669 CAD!  That's well beyond the normal currency conversion rate between US and CA sets.  I wonder if this has to do with the size affecting their internal storage/shipping costs.

Brickheadz golumn but he is holding a ring instead of a fish is another front runner

I am regretting posting this as a GWP fake idea.  Never thought it would be sort of true.

Yeah this is my only disappointment, but I am so happy with Rivendell that I can live with that! I will just immediately resell it as I can't keep a BrickHeadz in my house :-)

Oh man. F***! G*d damn it! Those a**holes really want to bleed us dry, don't they?

Sorry, it's just- that it feels like a rip-off. Most MSRPs do nowadays. And as far as we know, the only other LotR set on the horizon is another huge set. It just hurts.

Guess I'm gonna have to start setting aside 30 bucks a month from now on and maybe even sell some stuff. "Luckily" the Indiana Jones sets turned out to be a skippable disappointment. Hopefully they rest of the year won't feature anything nearly as cool as Rivendell, but it's only February, so who knows!

Honestly, that new leaf piece they're using for this set has a lot of potential for forest builds.

And I love how we will be able to recreate the meme from the movie 'One does not simply walk into Mordor.' Lol

Absolutely, same here. I think this stands on its own merit if it really is a one-off, but they put so much thought and effort into this I can't imagine they'd want to stop here with so many other possibilities. Sales should be solid, if not fantastic, and that should help LOTR's case, if they aren't already planing more anyway.

Picked up a gandalf and Legolas head to replace the ones in this set and an alternative for arwen 😁😁😁 now I'm completely on the hype train since I can fix the figures!!!

I’d be shocked if it didn’t sell really well. The price is very high, but I have a feeling enough people will want this that they’ll pay it no matter what

I can’t believe people are actually saying dark orange is more accurate for Gimli’s beard than reddish brown. Have you actually seen the films? I mean sure in some lights it can have a tiny orange tint but it’s clearly brown

So, the set is amazing, I love it. Fantastic design, fantastic minifigures, really great everything. I don't know if I'll get it, but if I get any set soon, it'll be this one. I was looking at the figures, and I wanted to ask, is that one of the Weasley twins' heads on Merry? It works, sort of, but I wanted to double check.

Also, I was looking at Brickset's review for the old Council of Elrond, and I noticed that they had the Eye of Sauron under the function to launch Gimli. Do any of you think that the eye under the pavilion is a reference to that set?

Not really trying to be mean, but it'd be quite funny to me if the Gollum GWP was a direct result of the LOTR Brickhead sales made in support more LOTR in general :P
