I count 9 teams. Suddenly my chances of being in the top 3 have dropped like a lead zeppelin. Not that I mind. I love all these entries. Very creative, and very funny. We'll have to add a few NPC teams, but this looks like a fantastic tournament now!

Cool your Hydrogen there is still a chance of top three lol.

Since almost everything is strictly based on luck, the chances are not so low. Lower then with three teams, granted. But not near zero.

With nine player teams, I think a first round of sixteen makes sense, so seven NPC teams.

Thank you everyone for entering the 618 BoBS Cup.   I love your creativity and humour.  :pir_laugh2:

With 9 teams entered, I may change the format to 3 groups of 3.  Adding 7 NPCs is too many.  That's nearly 50% of the teams which increases the chances of NPCs winning.

Hmm, fair point.

How about adding one NPC team - for a total of 10 - and two groups of five teams for the preliminaries? That's four games for each team, determining the two best teams in each round. Then play two semis: between #1 of group A vs. #2 of group B for semi #1, and vice versa for the semi #2. The winners play for the cup.

I like this version. Gives a nice even number left in the play-offs, and everyone gets multiple chances to win, even if they lose a game. Only other thing is: since there are 3 prizes, you'd have to have a "third place" game as well.

That's a good suggestion.

I'll have to do some recoding and testing of the spreadsheet to support groups of 5 before we can start the matches.

As soon as the baby team drops out, we instantly gain eleven new balls. Win-win!

Well, with that kind of incentive, I think the babies will be playing hard!

At least we don't have to wait days for teams to rest their little legs. Looking at you, baby team!

You'd be surprised how much energy toddlers have... :pir-grin:

I'm just glad to hear the games will be played with balls and not pineapples! My team is already injured enough from practice.

Cannonballs are still balls... right? :cannon:

Is it a personal foul if you kick the baby and the ball together through the goal?

I think this matter should be brought before the Court. Serious questions need serious answers!

Some sick results, but I guess the masses appreciate the amount of goals. :pir-grin:

Funny you should say sick, I have the flu.  The random number generator in the spreadsheet like goals too.  :pir-wink:
