Posted April 4, 200816 yr Gentlemen...BEHOLD! Republic-era Y-Wing! To appear in the new Clone Wars series. Yeah, we have two Minifig-scale Y-Wings already, but a new one like this would be fantastic. April 4, 200816 yr Great find! I think I'm in love. A Clone Wars era Y-Wing=awesome! The bubble turret on top is very reminiscent of the bubble turrets on the B-17 Flying Fortress used by the US during WWII. The ship itself looks way more sleek and smooth, which I also like, if not a little stubby. The only thing I can say is please TLG make us one! April 4, 200816 yr The clone wars tv series will continue in 2009. It is sure that lego will release new CW sets. I had not the chance to get the actual y-wing (not enough money) but if this one is one of the future lego cw line, I'll get it for sure! His look is great!
April 4, 200816 yr Author What's fun is that I can now take a bunch of panels and such and take a run at my UCS Y-wing to make it up like the CW era one. I've always kind of wanted to convert it to look like a "factory new" Y-wing like in the third image, but that's just not different enough to bother with.

April 9, 200816 yr I surely will love to see this vehicle. A cool ship taken from the OT to be CW era, I am telling this because the OT was first in the real story not in the SW storyline .
April 9, 200816 yr No offence, but who's going to know what this is/want it? Nice ship and all I guess though I prefer the OT version, but it would be a useless space filler in my opinion. If anything, they'd introduce the main ships that really re-enact the stories, and I haven't heard any media attention to this ship whatsoever. Don't get your hopes up, but for sure, I'd like to see some MOC's of it. The point is that this one'll likely stay off shelves.

April 11, 200816 yr Has anyone noticed that the ion cannon is a bubble? Can you say 2 yellow pilots and an astromech droid to boot. Also, with the rear of this "republic" era Y-wing, it might be possible to adapt a rather large compartment back there, since the primary engines are contained on the sides. Come to think of it, it is so appropriate that this ship is trimmed in yellow! I can't wait to see what additional information we will get on this craft, but in the mean time, I think we all need to come to grips that CW is a "bridge" so allot of the vehicle that will come out of it must now blend the PT to the OT... making it the Saga! This entails that all these craft will resemble other craft we already have in our respective fleets, however, we must treat each as unique... Believe me... it has been a constant struggle for me not to rip down all my TIE's and make them uniform.

I'd nearly kill to get an official Z-95. I got bored MOCing those about 8 years ago *laugh* And after seeing the new image, it makes watching Episode IV a little different. Seeing those stripped-down, junky, antique Y-Wings approaching the Death Star mixed among the "shiny" new T-65 X-Wings really adds more depth to things...I love it when the Prequel Era stuff does that

It could be like the 10123: Cloud City It could just be a Wall with the Lab on the Inside. The reason why this is a Possible set is since many have asked for alot more Clones, it could be a Small set (People can buy more) and contain around 5-10 Clones

I think a cloning center might be likely but I don't think that there'd be 5-10 clones in it. Not if it's a rather small set specifically... With the cloning center LEGO could return to selling sets in several modular parts what would be great because everyone could make up his personal cloning center in size and hence cost Benny

It's, the original A-wing design, is accredited to Admiral Akbar. Unless he would have designed the precursor prior to his enslavement! Not that I am saying that I would mind it, but then again, I have the first, and now the second A-wing, and I am not sure how you could make them look any sleeker, sexier, or just plain cooler. But there is that vehicle in ep 3 that Anakin uses from the Jedi Temple to get to the Senate building... and that does have a kind of A-wing look to it! Edit, but I do like your idea!
