Piranha Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 L-8 Mt. Scorpin Admar has recently heard of Dragonater being nearby and seeks to have a discussion with him. "Evening Sir, pleasant weather we are having eh?" said a passing vassal. "Yes quite indeed, I am on my way to the Dragons keep, ever heard of it?' "Aye, i have what business do you have there, you look too lowly" replied the man Admar removes his cloak and reveals his dark black armor and sword at his side, and places his helm on his head "As you can see I am a Dark Knight and am on my way to see a master" said Admar "I see o Knight, best be on thy way then" Admar strode away on his steed in search of the elusive Dragon Knight called "Dragonater"
WhiteFang Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 (edited) Location: M10 (In Ravine Tavern, Dromindur) Lord Calvin examined Dragonator carefully and said “Have you heard of Black Wraith Demons?” These foul demons had strikes our Southern Kingdom. Our forces had tried their best to push these beasts out of our lands. I guess, through sheer luck, they are able to do so with a very wise wizard, Aluvar. I know little about him, but all I know he saved most of our army from danger. Lord Calvin took out a sealed letter and handed to Dragonator. He said “This is the letter from Master Pent. I do not know the content within. Please peruse this letter.” Location: L13 (In Majestic Tower) Lord Kenneth and Lady Kristine arrived at the doors of Majestic Tower and looked up. Lady Kristine looked at the small boy “Please hang on. Our wizard will be able to save you.” The trio ran up to the stairs without wasting any time, finally arrived at Master Pent’s chamber. Lord Kenneth knocked the door and shouted “Master, I have returned. We need your powers to save this boy.” The door suddenly opened itself and a shining bright light blinded their sights for a moment. There, stood Master Pent near his crystal ball. He looked at them and said “I been expecting your arrival soon enough. Bring the small boy in immediately.” Location: L13 (In Capital, Black Knights Kingdom) Princess Diana looked at Siloux “We should go to the Capital’s Market Square to do some shopping. You should take a look on how vibrant the trade is taking place. There are many traders from different kingdoms. Maybe, you might bump one of your fellow friends there.” Princess Diana smiled “Let’s move on.” Both of them rode their steeds into the heart of the capital. Edited May 13, 2008 by WhiteFang
Dragonator Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 M10 Dromindur; The Ravine Black Wraith Demons you say? That is not a good sign, not at all. Ah good old Aluvar, always lending a helping hand when it's needed. I can tell you, he is good in a tight spot. But enough about that, let us see this letter. Dragonator broke the seal and opened the letter. After a few moments of reading he sat back, looking thoughtful. This is very interesting news. It looks like Pent has sent you to be your kingdoms representative here. I hope you know how to keep your mouth shut, as this is very important stuff. But if Pent trusts you to come, then I too will accept it. There is one other matter in here that I must discuss with you later. For now, let us go back downstairs, we do not want to draw suspicion on ourselves by being late, do we? With that they all stood and left the room, with Dragonator locking the door behind him, and proceed back downstairs.
WhiteFang Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Location: M10 (In Ravine Tavern, Dromindur) Karen looked at Lord Calvin “Why Master Pent appointed you to be the Kingdom representative? He never briefed you on this issue before.” Lord Calvin shakes his head and said “I am equally clueless as you are. Normally, Lord Kenneth is the one whom represent our kingdom. I am supposed that the Black Wraith incident is not settled in time. That’s why I believed I am the one to replace Lord Kenneth. Guess, this is the only way I can help him.” Both of them stayed at the corner, looking at the rest with careful wary eyes.
Shadows Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 M-10 Dromindur The Ravine I really think I should go along, they won't refuse me entry. Oh no, my dear, I'm sure they wouldn't, but I think it's best if we don't reveal you at this point. Some of them know I'm here and who I am. Yes, but they don't understand the importance of who you really are, only the royal side. You mean... Exactly. When the time is right, however, everyone will know. I guess you'd better go on alone then. That's a good girl, your mother would be very proud of you. Aluvar leaves the room, going downstairs to find his seat and join the meeting. Glancing around at the assembled emmisaries, he sees a number of familiar faces, old and new. Realising that things aren't quite ready to start, he begins to meditate, reaching out to his surroundings, feeling the inner spirits around him. He senses concern, confusion, anger, and in one case, a dark whirlpool of deception. I've got a bad feeling about this ...
Dragonator Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 (edited) M10 Dromindur; The Ravine Dragonator stood up in front of the assembled people and looked around. Everyone had arrived and were in their seats, arranged in a semi-circle. He could see Aluvar, as well as Lord Calvin and Karen, although he did note the absence of Alyss, but that was understandable. Marcus was seated at the right of his own chair, which was in the centre of the semi-circle, with various representatives from the other four kingdoms on either side. On the far left were the two men from Morcia, both of whom were still wearing their large cloaks that covered most of their bodies. After having to travel along the border with Ankoria to get to the meeting, it was understandable that they should be weary, yet still, there was something not quite right about them. On their right were Lord Calvin and Karen from the Black Knights. On the other side of the two centre chairs, the two Black Falcon representatives were seated, with Aluvar being the only Crown kingdom representative on the far right. It was time to begin. Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to thank you all for coming. It is a hard time for us all, but I hope that this meeting will be able to begin our hopes for a better future. Dragonator scanned the seated people, who were listening intently. Our kingdoms are not what they once were. Long ago, when we were united as one single kingdom, we were the strongest force in the whole of the known world. That age is long past however, and some of the states of that once great kingdom are now our enemies, while we few still remain. We are the representatives of the last five kingdoms that are still dedicated to the old alliance. It has been over one hundred years since we stood as one united force against the coming of evil, and now times are changing and we once again need to be strong. You have been called here to re-affirm your place in the alliance, on behalf of your kingdoms. Our forces are not what they once were. The Crown Kingdom is under attack already from the undead, while my own kingdom may soon have to deal with the scum from Ankoria. Some of you may think that these battles do not concern you, but if even one of our kingdoms were to fall, then we would all fall. Sighing, Dragonator leaned forward. I have also heard reports of sightings of Black Wraith Demons, appearing even more boldly than they once did. It is clear that a great evil is beginning to rise, and we must find a way to fight it before it is to late. How would you know about Black Wraith Demons and how they act? I do not believe your words that these things even exist. This interruption came from one of the hooded Morcia representatives. Dragonator turned to look at him. I would have thought that someone from your kingdom would know more of these things. Aluvar has himself declared that he has seen these Demons, and he was there over one hundred years ago when this first happened. Let me assure you that these Demons are not something to shrug off lightly. They are vicious and hard to defeat. It takes special training to be able to even hurt one. But how would you know- Excuse me, but I must speak now. I am Gremoth from the Black Falcons, and I want a question answered. You talk of our commitment to this alliance, but what of your kingdom? Your king can't even carry out his responsibilities to his own people, so how does he plan to commit to this? Dragonator stared levelly at Gremoth. My king will be... handing over certain responsibilities to other people to deal with, including the running of our military forces. He will not hinder this alliance. I have worked to hard for it. That is as I thought. What you speak of is very dangerous, if not outright treason to your kingdom is it not? Can we trust you? Raising his eyebrows at the Morcia man, Dragonator replied, I thought I had already explained all this to you in a letter, or do you forget so easily. What we are all doing here is somewhat dangerous. If the wrong people were to here of it then we could all be in severe danger. Hard times call for hard measures, and some things just need to be dealt with. I would appreciate it if you would leave my kingdoms' concerns to me. Dragonator turned back to the rest of the group. The rest of you should already know of these things, as this has been in planing for months now. It seems that Morcia is a little slow in this regard. But we need their help as much as the rest of yours. The Crown Kingdom I understand is in desperate need of troops to help battle the continuous attacks by the undead. I myself will need the help of some men when it come time for us to battle against Ankoria. I for one would like a fuller explanation of the situation at the moment in the Crown Kingdom, before I commit any men to this battle. That is fair enough. Aluvar, would you like to add anything at this point? Edited May 11, 2008 by dragonator
WhiteFang Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Location: M10 (In Ravine Tavern, Dromindur) Karen whispered softly to Lord Calvin “My Lord, it seemed that the discussion is getting intense. I had never seen the representatives from Morcia before.” Lord Calvin nodded his head slightly “Karen, observed carefully. Do not speak unnecessary. There are ears around these walls.”
Shadows Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 M-10 Dromindur The Ravine Aluvar stands. Thank you Lord Dragonator. Good gentlemen, I am Aluvar. Some of you may know me personally, others only in name, but you are most certainly aware that my words are always true, of that there has never been doubt. Even in my land we know of your honour. So, can you verify anything that he has told us? First of all, you will address Lord Dragonator with the respect that you seem to have forgotten at the door. You are here by his invitation, for the good of all, act accordingly. I... *gulp* Yes, it is so. I am sorry, but I am concerned for the future. We all are, we certainly have reason to be. Here, here! As for the Black Wraith Demons, I can assure you, they're quite real, and most dangerous. I've dealt with many in my life, the most recent just a few days ago, not a mile from this meeting. You see, I was ambushed by them, because they knew we would be here. How exactly do you think they knew, hmmm? Aluvar glances around the suddenly dead silent room. Yes, do think about that carefully. As for the situation in Crown Kingdom, as the representative of the kingdom, I can assure you that all appropriate steps are being taken to stop the attacks against our soil. Further, information has come to light that indicates that the source of our troubles is not what we once believed. It's the skellies! You can't turn that around. We need to kill 'em all! They're already dead, fool. Don't start on me! You know what I mean! Suddenly Aluvar reaches over and picks up his staff which he proceeds to slam against the table with a force one wouldn't expect out of a 190yr old man. The room is again quiet. That will be all of that. If you can't behave, I will personally make you. Are we clear now? Gremoth jumps up. What gives you the right to ... Aluvar narrows his eyes, giving Gremoth a look that would freeze the heart of most men. I... *cough* Gremoth sits. Now that we've settled that, I believe we should return this meeting to the capable hands of Lord Dragonator, and I trust you will all pay attention to what he has to say. Aluvar looks around the room again, but this time he seem something he hadn't before. He sits, just a bit more pale than he had been previously.
Piranha Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) M-10 Dromindur The Ravine Admar slowly approaches a tavern/inn It looks like there is a meeting or something going on there, maybe it would be best not to interrupt He moves in for a closer look and hears talking going on in side Hmm, something about our kingdom going to war? It looks there are some ambassadors from different lands sitting around the table, I do wonder what goes on One of the guards is making his patrol around the tavern, Admar quickly dodges behind a nearby tree to avoid being seen, he then waits quietly for the meeting to be over However he failed to notice that the guard was much more intelligent than he had thought, since the Dragon Masters Guards are among the elite. Hey you over there, step out, your trespassing Pardon me, I am here on business I wish to speak with someone inside You will, follow me, lets hear what they have to say about this The Guard leads Admar inside the tavern to the room where the discussion is being held, Admar recognizes Dragonater as one of the patrons and also sees an old man, most likely a wizard of some sorts Lords, I am sorry to disturb you but we have a guest Greeting my lords I am Sir Admar Edited May 12, 2008 by Piranha
WhiteFang Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) Location: M10 (In Ravine Tavern, Dromindur) Lord Calvin stood up. “Black Wraith Demons truly exists. Do not doubt Aluvar’s words. These foul demons have attacked the southern part of Black Knights Kingdom. Do not treat this report as a myth or legend.” One of the Morcia representatives interrupted Lord Calvin “Young commander, don’t try and impress me with your words. I will not seriously think that these demons from the legend even exist. Are you trying to take sides with Dragonator or Aluvar?” Lord Calvin slammed the table hard. He stared at his hood, unable to look into his eyes. “Look! We have a dire situation in our hands. Crown Kingdom is attack by Skeletons. Black Knights Kingdom is ambushed by Black Wraith Demons. What are these signs telling us? I tell you, it’s telling us that if we don’t defend and defeat these threats together as one united alliance, our Kingdoms will be annihilated. Do you think we actually have so much time to waste on this meeting? I, Lord Calvin do not take favor from anyone. I pledge my allegiance to my King and no one else. Do not insult my honor.” The other Morcia representatives grinned. “What an impressive speech you made. Black Knights Kingdom indeed had lived up to its reputations of producing empty vessels.” Lord Calvin was abrupt by its rudeness. Anger is in his eyes. Karen immediately took hold of Lord Calvin’s hand, hinting him to calm down. Lord Calvin took noticed of Karen’s hint, did not speak any further, and sat down. Edited May 12, 2008 by WhiteFang
Shadows Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 M-10 Dromindur The Ravine Aluvar just sits, watching the argument around him. I do wish these children would behave. Pinky and Bluervo fly down the stairs and straight to Aluvar. No one notices. I just got back! I've got terrible news! What is it? What is so important? It's the King! He's dying. No... It's just like before! I... I should have seen this coming. I should have expected it. This whole meeting has been a distraction! Attacks are breaking out across the kingdom, but he was seeing to it personally and they were keeping out the invaders, but then he got sick and now the battle isn't going so well. Of course. OF COURSE! The ensuing arguments stop for a moment, everyone having become suddenly aware of Aluvar again. Oh, go back to what you were doing! The arguments continue. We must act immediately, but there is no time to return by carriage. Oh no, you don't mean... Yes, I do. I hate this. We have to make a stop along the way too, you're going to hate that more. Where are we going? No... it's more a matter of when. Oh, forget it, leave me. I can't handle that! It'll be fine, just be quiet and let me write this note. Aluvar scribbles a note explaining the situation, which he gives to Dragonator. Dragonator quickly reads the note. I understand. I will see to it that she is protected and returned to Crown Castle as quickly as possible. It will take several days. Good, I should have things under control by then. Good luck, friend. Aluvar begins chanting, then suddenly he and the two birds disappear in a puff of smoke. The room is suddenly quiet again. Unknown Location Unknown Time I can't believe you finally agreed to have me back on. Well, you've asked so often that we just thought it was about time. Plus we didn't have anyone else booked. Shut up. Sorry boss. Aluvar and the birds appear in a puff of smoke. Shadows! I need your help! Aluvar? Oh no, not again. I am not going to follow you on some damn fool idealistic crusade like my father did. What is this? Why is this old geezer interrupting my interview? But this is serious, it's King Tiberius, he's dying. Uh, he's dead. Has been for a long time. HELLO? Are you always this annoying? Your face is annoying, bird. Hey, wait, a talking bird. Well, you know what I mean. I do... Fine, give me a minute to wrap this up. We just started! You just finished. Oh, don't worry, Staudie will host the rest of the episode. I will??? YAY! A promotion! Don't get any ideas. Just try not to burn the place down. Oh no, I won't. I figured out how it happened last time, anyway. Yeah yeah. Ok, I'm going now. Going where? Not so much where as when. More like when can we get back to talking about me? Have fun, kid. Er, thanks, I think... Shadows grabs a backpack containing all of the necessary travelling supplies including a towel, of course, and walks over to Aluvar. Let's get this show on the road. Right. Aluvar chants a few words and the group disappears in a puff of smoke. As the camera fades, we hear the announcer. Where will Aluvar and Shadows appear next? Will Staudie burn down the studio again? Will the guest ever finish talking about himself? The answers to these and a few other minor points like that whole deal about the king dying and war breaking out will be answered in upcoming episodes of ... EB News Presents! The Aluvar Chronicles!
Dragonator Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 M10 Dromindur; The Ravine Dragonator turns back to the assembled people. I am sorry, but Aluvar had some pressing matters to attend to. He has however given me this letter committing the Crown Kingdom to this Alliance. The rest of you must now get a grip and- Suddenly, Dragonator notices one of the guards standing at the door with a man next to him. Marcus could you go see what they want please?. As the arguing continued, Marcus walked over to see what the guard wanted. My apologies to disturb you general, but this man said he was on important business and- Sorry you should be. I expressly asked that there be no interruptions. You will report to your commander, and he will decide a fitting punishment. Oh right, I am your commander. Go outside. Yes my Lord... The guard left, not at all happy about events. How can I help you, Dark Knight? As you can see we are very busy right, however I would be happy to answer your questions if you are quick. Otherwise they will have to wait until this meeting has finished, it is very important and Supreme Councilor Dragonator does not wish there to be any interruptions. Meanwhile, heated debate was continuing in the background. What do you mean he has left? I do not wish to trust someone who just walks out and- Oh shut up you stupid oaf! Never have I heard such remarks from a man of Morcia. You should be ashamed! Gentlemen, could we please keep this civil. The two of you need some time to cool off. I will have dinner brought out and then we shall all sign the treaty. And if we do not wish to- Leave it!
Piranha Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 M-10 Dromindur The Ravine As he watches the guard leave and his commanding officer take over, Admar couldn't help notice the wizard fellow disappear into a puff of smoke. He certainly seemed like an odd fellow! Greetings, Commander.......? Never mind, since I don't know your name. Back to business, sorry to disrupt your meeting, my name is Sir Admar and I bear allegiance to the Dragon Masters Kingdom . Thus if you can give this message to Lord Dragonater about my returning from the wars to serve my kingdom. What shall I tell him? What are thy bidding, my lord? The Commanding Guard shows an odd expression Admar then smiles a fiendish grin, somewhat humorous I will wait for the meeting to finish then.......
Dragonator Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 M10 Dromindur; The Ravine Raising his eyebrows at the newcomer, Marcus replied. I am General Marcus of the Air Marshals, representative to the Council of Five. You may call me Sir, or General if you prefer. I don't know how you remember this army to be, but by God it is disciplined, and I will expect the same from you! Do not think you will get away with sloppiness, not on my watch. Marcus examined the knight. Ah but your no new recruit, you don't need to hear all that again, it is boring enough the first time. Welcome back Sir Admar! The pair shake hands. What battalion did you serve under, and may I ask why you have been so long missing from the kingdom? Turning, Marcus beckoned Admar to follow him. Come, we can talk over dinner. It is not often I get the chance to talk properly with the veterans of the war, so I look forward to what you have to say. You may even have a chance to talk to Lord Dragonator if he is not to busy.
WhiteFang Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Location: M10 (In Ravine Tavern, Dromindur) Lord Calvin and Karen were amazed by Aluvar’s feat. They cannot believe that Aluvar vanish into thin air. Lord Calvin turned towards Karen and said “This Aluvar is very strong. He claimed that he saw Black Wraith Demons earlier. I wonder if he has an encounter with Kenneth earlier. Shucks, I should have asked Aluvar just now before he gone. I am sure he knew what had happened.” Karen speaks to Lord Calvin in a claim tone “My Lord, we will find out how White Fang forces fared when we return. Right now, we have a treaty to adhere to.” Realizing the grave situation at the moment, Lord Calvin focused on Dragonator’s words and he stood up, glance through the treaty and said “I, Lord Calvin of Red Valiant Force in Black Knights Kingdom will acknowledge the treaty agreement and adhere to the old alliance code which originated in hundred years back. Dragonator, you have my word for it.” Lord Calvin used the ink brush to sign onto the treaty and sealed it with his General Seal under Black Knights Kingdom column. Lord Calvin turned his direction to the Morcia representatives and said “I do not have time for such uncouth manners especially the likes of Morcia. There are bigger things to worry about than a bunch of barbarians sitting down blabbing away.” The Morcia representatives are angry. Their anger within the eyes is hidden under their cloak. Both did not utter a single word, grip their fist real tight.
Dragonator Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 M10 Dromindur; The Ravine Thank you Lord Calvin for taking the initiative. The rest of you may wait until after dinner to sign if you like, just to cool your heels. Please, this way, the table has been set. Dragonator led the people through to another room where a large oak table was set with the finest of silver wear. Various exquisite foods were arranged aesthetically on large platters of gold, and the table was graced with large flagons of the finest vintages from the far northern city of Hamenwear. Truly it was a feast to be hold. Stop drooling. Sorry my Lord, I haven't eaten since breakfast... Meanwhile... L7 Dragons Keep The trio of unlikely accomplices rushed down through the levels of the castle. The old wizard was having trouble keeping up, and on one or two occasions they had almost been caught. Suddenly, just as they were nearing the workroom, Grim spoke up. I cannot go on. Lord Dragonator would have my head twice over if I did not warn Ragnir of his dangerous situation. I must go try and rescue him. That is a fools mission, do not do it. Yet I feel it is my duty. You two go on, I must go back for him. Well if that is how you feel, then I admire you. Good luck my friend, and my the Great Ones be with you this day. And also to you both. With that, Grim turned and ran back the way they had come, towards the invading army. Looks like that leaves just you and me, Adym, isn't it? Yes, let us go quickly though, before someone comes. Agreed. The pair entered Adym's workroom, and locked the door behind them. My goodness, what are you working on down here? Erm, Lord Dragonator would prefer not to say actually... Ah, it is that. No, no need to explain, I already know. I was going to help him 'make it live' as it were. I just hope that this dream of his will one day still be a reality. Groan... Who is that!? Just a deadly assassin, not so deadly any more though, aye? Adym goes over and kicks the Shadow in his already broken ribs, bringing forth a trickle of blood frm his mouth. His eyes crossed funny and he leaned over heavily sideways. Hmmm, perhaps I overdid that... Never mind now, how do we get out?
Shadows Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Unknown Location Unknown Time Hurry lad, we must attend to the king immediately. The king, eh? Do you see any kings around here? Aluvar takes a moment to look around. Erm. I'm fairly sure this isn't where I intended to reappear. No, I'm sure it isn't. They are standing inside a weatherd stone courtyard. A fully armoured skeleton approaches, sword drawn. Several similarly equipped skellies flank his sides. It would seem that you are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Perhaps so, perhaps not. Don't try to doubetalk me, wizard, I know your kind. You're probably behind this whole invasion. What invasion? Going to play dumb? Fine. The skellie points his sword at Aluvar and company. Turn around and go up those stairs... and no tricks, humans. Great job Aluvar. Well, I'm a little out of practice when dealing with more than just me and the birds. Right, well I guess we'd better do as he says, and no tricks out of us humans... *cough* Oh yes, you're right there, us humans had better behave. Enough talk, get moving! Aluvar and Shadows turn around and begin heading up the stairs. Pinky and Bluervo, having fortunately reappeared above the skellies field of vision, wait for the right moment, and, just as the party reaches the midpoint of the stairs, swoop down, knocking the skellie commander off the stairs and down to the hard floor below, shattering his legs. So much for the element of surprise, looks like it's time to fight! Aluvar pulls out his staff and Shadows his cutlass. Positioned back to back, they wait as skellies approach from above and below. Aluvar begins chanting and a bubble appears around them. The skellies poke at it with their swords, but realising that they can't penetrate it, decide to just wait for the magic to run out. Now what? Do we just try to walk out? It doesn't seem like a heavily guarded fortress. I don't even know where we are, we might be walking into even more trouble. Well, there is an alternative. Let's go talk to the commander. Uh... sure. Aluvar and Shadows walk down the stairs together, careful not to break the magical shield protecting them. Commander. I'm not talking to you. Commander, look... we didn't mean to come here, and we don't know what invasion you're speaking of. The only invasion we know about is the one that your people are leading against the Crown Kingdom. The what? We are doing no such thing! Then who is, and using skellie forces? I... I don't believe you, it's a trick. It most certainly isn't! A talking bird! I'm getting so tired of that. Look, I was in Crown Kingdom and it's a complicated story, but I was told that someone is manipulating the skellie army into making attacks against the Crown, but that it isn't supported by your king. Do you know anything of this? I have heard rumours that some of the older commanders wanted to start the war again, but not of any actual attacks. They wouldn't dare, without support. We believe they have support, in the form of a traitor to the Crown family, someone who wants to seize power by starting a war, pitting your people against mine. Yours? You mean humans? No, I mean the Crown. I am the voice of the King, as specified in this letter. Aluvar holds out the letter, then realises how silly that is, with the magical shield and all. Ahem, well, it says that I have say in all matters regarding Crown Kingdom. I want to avert this war. You seem to feel the same. Will you help us? It's unheard of! An alliance between us... it's madness! And yet, it might be our only chance... Please consider it carefully. We need to stop these attacks or the other kingdoms may unite against you, and that will lead to all out war. Guards! Stand down, we are among friends. I am Skartok. I will do what I can to help you, but I am not authorized to make any kind of agreement, you will need to see the king. I need to save my king first, he is dying of a strange disease that I have only seen once before, a disease that killed his wife before him. A strange disease? You should speak to Brondith the Herbalist. I will take you to him. He knows more about death than all of humanity combined. No offense intended. None taken, though I doubt you can take us anywhere in your condition. Sorry about that. My legs can be fixed, though it will take a few hours. We haven't a few hours. Allow me to try. Aluvar begins chanting a particularly arcane spell. Slowly the broken fragments reform into whole bone. Ah, yes, that is much better. I am impressed. I didn't think that your magic could work on our kind. It's our magic that brought you into being... Well, yes, I see your point, though it isn't one I wish to discuss. A sore subject amongst our people. I can understand that. Shall we go to this Brondith now? Skartok orders his men to prepare their fastest carriage, led by a team of four undead horses. You sure we ended up here by accident? What do you think? Skartok and 2 of his men board the carriage. Aluvar and Shadows sit behind them, the birds preferring to fly. The unlikely group heads east toward the home of Brondith the Herbalist.

Ahah, I've been, er, working on a... side project. (That's emphasis, not thoughts. ) With all these resources at hand, I just couldn't resist! Adym pulled away an old sheet revealing his modified Dwarf Mining Machine. Spears jutted out the front and crossbows were attached to the sides, with a barrel full of bolts packed in with a box of supplies. There was room for three people, or two with their luggage now, and the steam powered engine was significantly larger, to accommodate all the added weight. Don't worry, I have been working on the project too! Heh. Adym picked out a small model dragon, whose wings flapped when he pulled on a small wooden tab. Magico looked at him with a look of confusion and worry for Adym's mental health. Uh, anyway, let's get going! You hop in, and I'll open up the doors! Adym pulled a lever, which twisted a series of cogs and belts, opening both the doors in a quick burst. Another contraption I added, just in case, well, just for this sort of thing really. And with that, Adym jumped into the DAM (Dwarven Attack Machine), starting it up and sending them zooming through the doors. Edited May 13, 2008 by iamded
WhiteFang Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) Location: L13 (In Majestic Tower) Master Pent took his staff and placed it onto the ground. The injured boy did not dare to move an inch. Lord Kenneth and Lady Kristine stood still too. Master Pent chanted a magical enhancement and a barrier is surrounding the boy. Ray of gentle blue light shines into the barrier. Wounds are beginning to wind up and started to disparate. Both of them realized that Master Pent had used one of his high levels magic within Sea Justice wand, called Rejuvenation. After sometimes, the light and the barrier begin to disappear. Master Pent turned towards the both of them “I have fully purged the Black Wraith Demons fragments out of his body. His wounds are healed too.” The small boy uttered some words “Please, Please. Save my younger brother. I know he is still alive.” Lord Kenneth lifted the small boy up and asked “What is your name?” The small boy answered “Daryl Petrik, my Lord.” Master Pent looked at Daryl with a glance “What happened to your brother?” Daryl had no energy to reply Master Pent. Lord Kenneth said “Black Wraith Demons had possessed both of them. I am not sure why the two of them are spared alive. It seemed that they are of some use to them. Master Pent sighed “I guess that is the reason why the boys are held captive. Nevertheless, is there anything else to report?” Lord Kenneth added “Actually, Princess Diana is here in the Capital. She is the one whom forced the other Black Wraith Demon to retreat.” Master Pent was surprised and shouted “Are you saying our Princess is here in the Capital? Why is she not together with you? The King and Queen miss her very much.” Both of them nodded and Lady Kristine replied “She have important matters to attend to. We will persuade her to return. At least, we will try to bring her to see you.” Master Pent turned his back and stare at the window. “Take Daryl to his dormitory. We will have a word with him tomorrow morning.” Both of them understand and carried the tiring Daryl to his room. Master Pent think to himself “Princess Diana has finally returned. But what important things is she attending to other than returning to her home.” Edited May 13, 2008 by WhiteFang
Shadows Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Somewhere in Skellie territory East of wherever we were yesterday Are we there yet? Not yet. Are we there yet? Not yet! Are we there yet? NOT YET! No one ask again! Grouchy. I haven't even seen a convenience store in hours. A what? Nevermind. The carriage continues heading east as Shadows thinks it's the weirdest way he's ever spent a birthday. Except for that one time in Acapulco.
AgentRick Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 M-18 Edthgar woke up after a strange hiatus. He has no idea what caused it, but then decides that "A WIZARD DID IT!"He then rides off into the sunset to find the wizard who did this and was never seen again. The end.

Shadows Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Somewhere in Skellie territory Even further east than before Ok, that does it! Shadows pulls his cutlass and puts it to the skellie driver's back, much to the surprise of everyone. We've been travelling for days, nonstop. We pass nothing but wasteland and swamps, and we never seem to get anywhere. Clearly, this whole trip has been a diversion to keep us from other pressing matters. The carriage stops. The commander turns and looks at Shadows. Look to your right. Oh no, I'm not falling for any more of your tricks. No, really lad, look. Uh... ok. Shadows turns and looks, only to see a small shack surrounded by a massive garden. The sign out front reads: Brondith The Herbalist Uh, hmmm. I knew that. ... It was just a joke. Mmm hmmm. Shall we go inside now and see what we can learn? Great idea! Aluvar gives Shadows one of those looks. What, like you didn't think it at some point? The party heads to the front door, only to be met by an incredibly old looking skellie with a massive beard. What are you doing here? I don't want none of what you've got to offer, no thank you, now go away. Calm down now, Brondith, we're here for some information. I'm not helping their kind! They're trying to stop a war, a war that none of us want. What war? There is no war... no war. Not another war. I don't know. What were you saying? Someone is trying to trick our peoples into a war that we don't want. They plan to stop it. Oh ho, you do, eh? And just how will you do that? Well... we're not entirely sure, but you can help. What if I refuse? Then we wasted three days coming to you and many people, yours and ours, will be destroyed. Now now, don't go laying that at my feet, I didn't cause no war, not before and not now. But you can help stop it. Maybe I can and maybe I can't. What do you want from me? The king of Crown kingdom is dying of a mysterious illness, an illness that claimed his wife some years ago. We did all we could for her and nothing helped. If he dies, this war will escalate quickly. A mysterious illness, eh? Interesting, interesting. Walk with me, oh wizened one, we shall talk. Aluvar and Brondith walk through the garden, discussing past and present. Suddenly, it all becomes clear to Aluvar. They enter the house, Aluvar exiting with two small pouches. The two rejoin the group near the carriage. Thank you Brondith, you have just possibly averted a war. I don't know how we can ever thank you. Find out who is misusing the herbs and stop them, for me. Consider it done, my friend. Are we ready to go then? You have a long journey ahead of you to reach Crown castle. Oh, we aren't going back the way we came, thanks but no thanks. I'll take care of this one. Are you ready Aluvar? Thanks again, Brondith and to you as well Commander. Ok Shadows, let's go. The birds land on Aluvar as Shadows begins chanting. The party disappears in a puff of smoke. Well, that's quite an exit... K-18 Crown Castle King's Gardens Not bad, not bad at all. You know it was positively brilliant. We'll have time for that once we stop this war. Indeed. Aluvar and Shadows rush across the couryard to the King's tower, encountering several guards who are immediately aware of just who Aluvar is and make no attempt to stop him. They do, however, eye Shadows suspiciously, but who doesn't? K-18 Crown Castle King's Chamber What is the meaning of this? There will be no interruptions allowed, the king is very ill! Step aside, Vrend, this is important. How did you get back here so quickly, I thought you were in, er, away ... I'm sure you did. Now step aside! I will not. Vrend pulls his sword, making threatening motions toward Aluvar. You've got to be kidding me. He seems pretty serious, lad. That's what makes it so silly. There he is, all puffed up and self-important, and he hasn't a clue what he's doing. I see what you mean. Don't talk about me like I'm not here, cads! Oh, now that's just too much. As if the purple pants aren't bad enough, calling us cads... That's just unforgivable. Some people just don't know when to give up. Shall I take care of this, or would you like to? I'd love to, thanks! Shadows casts a very quick spell, pinning Vrend to the ceiling, unable to move. You may consider your position here terminated, now be a good little boy and shut up. HELP! LET ME DOWN! GUARDS!!!!! Several guards quickly enter the room, confused by what they see, but not daring to interfere. See, now they understand how to behave, pity you never learned. Aluvar crosses the room, pulling out one of the pouches. Let's see here... I need a few things. Aluvar snaps his fingers and his chest appears next to him. He begins digging through it, tossing items aside until there is a very large pile of odds and ends. You never did learn how to pack light, did you? I suppose you could do better? What are you looking for? Magic matches... Shadows snaps his fingers, igniting his forefinger with a ghostly blue flame. Oh. That is handy. I never learned that one. Aluvar lights a small oil burner with Shadow's finger and then begins preparing a potion. Shadows puts out his finger. You know, that plays hell on my manicure. Your what? Hey, I'm on tv, don't blame me for having to look good. Vrend and the guards just stare, not really sure what to make of all of that. It's ready. Aluvar takes the potion to the king and wakes him. Aluvar? Oh, it's good to see you... I'm not doing very well... so weak... my wife... it's... Yes yes, I know, save your energy, it's going to be fine now. Aluvar puts the potion to the king's lips. A blue glow surrounds the king as he drinks. I can feel it, my energy is returning... but something is wrong, I must still be sick. Why, your majesty? I'm seeing things. Vrend is on my ceiling. Oh no, he's really there, it's fine. Oh, good... Don't I know you? Do you? I doubt it, I'm not from now. From now? Don't ask. I've already learned better than that just from knowing you, dear friend. I don't know how you saved me, but thank you. Well, that deserves a story, one you'll have a hard time believing. The king dismisses the guards and Shadows casts sleep upon Vrend. Now, as alone as possible, Aluvar tells the king everything that has happened. This is unbelievable! We must discover who poisoned me, they're responsible for all of this! I don't think so, kingy. No? No? No. Kingy... He wasn't ever a bird, was he? No, why do you ask? No reason. The king rises, walking over to look up at Vrend. Why is he up there? He was trying to stop us from helping you. I see. Well, there will be no helping him now. Actually, I think we can use him, but it's going to be tricky. Here's my plan ...
WhiteFang Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) Location: L13 (In Capital, Black Knights Kingdom) Diana and Siloux halted their steeds immediately and alight from there. Buzzing sound can be heard all over City Square. Traders and customers are busy haggling. Siloux went forward and brought his friend over. Siloux’s friend seemed to be surprised when he noticed Diana. Diana walked forward and smiled “Is this your friend?” Siloux nodded. Diana looked and said “My name is Diana. I am from this kingdom. What about you?” Location: M10 (In Ravine Tavern, Dromindur) Lord Calvin and Karen was sitting in a corner, enjoying the lovely feast prepared by the host. Karen said “My Lord, the food is indeed delicious, filled with exquisite food.” Lord Calvin nodded “Indeed. I have a feeling someone is watching us. I wonder if it’s related to my move to pledge our kingdom at the first round. Certainly hope I have not made a wrong move.” Karen assured Lord Calvin and said “You have performed well, my Lord. I am sure everything will be fine. By the way, can I ask Lee to join us? He is out there with the entourage for a long time.” Lord Calvin shakes his head “Tell Lee to check the surroundings of Ravine Tavern. Ensure no sinister figures are loitering around this region. It’s not I do not trust Dragonator’s security. I fear there is something more than meets the eye.” Karen understood, immediately took off. Edited May 21, 2008 by WhiteFang
