AgentRick Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 M-18 Replying to the Orc's question, Edthgar replied, and told him he was commander of the eastern outpost, and told him that he had an idea on how to get both of them out of their troubles. The three of them got back just before the Skeleton forces reached them. Edthgar noticed what appeared to be the leader of the skeleton forces in the middle group. He told the enemy forces: "We have one of your allies, do I not? We will only release him if you leave this area for one week." ("Is this wise?" he thought, "Is bribery moral, even for the protection of land?" The skeleton leader paused and thought...

WhiteFang Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 (edited) Location: L13 After days of travel, the messenger had finally returned to Black Knights Kingdom Capital. Searching high and low for Lady Kristine, the messenger knew he had not much time left. Looking at the other side of the fence, he saw Lady Kristine and Lord Calvin pitting their skills against each other with their swords. The messenger shouted without hesitation "Lady Kristine, I have an urgent message from Lord Kenneth, your brother!" Kristine and Calvin looked at the messenger and lay their swords down, went ahead and speak with him. "What urgent message you bring from my brother? Is he facing some trouble at the Southern border?" said Kristine. The messenger looked around the surroundings and said "This message is only for your ears, my lady. I am sorry that Lord Calvin will have to excuse himself." Lord Calvin paused for a moment and said "Very well, i will step aside and both of you may resume your conversation." Kristine said "No, Lord Calvin is one of us. He is Lord Kenneth's best friend and is a Commander of Red Valiant. Let him listen too." The messenger respected Lady Kristine decision and said "Very well, my lady. There is disturbing matters in Green Valley. There is no one in that region. None of our citizens is there. Lord Kenneth wants you to mobilize a platoon and stationed near "One Leg Tavern" by acting as his reinforcements. Lastly, none of these details will be said to anyone except Master Wizard Pent. Please convey the message to him on my behalf. “Kristine listened his words very carefully "Return to my brother side, and assist him. I assigned you an archer squad. Lead them to my brother's command. I will assemble my platoon as fast as possible." The messenger followed her command and moved on. Kristine sigh for awhile "Will my brother be fine, Calvin?" Calvin looked at her and said "Don't worry, he will be fine. Let's find our Master. He can advice us." Kristine replied "Yes, we shall not waste anytime. But first let, me find Kendrick. I need him to amass my platoon." Edited April 14, 2008 by WhiteFang
Piranha Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 G-6 Viking Realm: Village Plith Gong enters another tavern, although this one is less crowded than the one in the capital city. Still it has the usual customers, villagers and a few warriors. None as powerful as Gong though, at least so he thought. "Buy a fellow viking warrior a drink friend?" asked one of the patrons "You a warrior? Why shame me by calling yourself that" replied Gong "How dare you insult me, would you like to step outside" said the viking "That would be too dignified for the likes of you" Gong said as he laughed The viking now very angry with Gong drew his very large sword which he called "The Dooms Bringer" Gong eyes lit up as he had an eye for a rare weapon like the sword "This will teach ya to mock me" yelled the viking as he swung the sword at Gongs head Once again, Gong already had thrown his assassins knife and it nailed the viking in the chest. The viking screamed but he was dead faster than he could fall to the floor. "Sorry about the mess" said Gong as he dropped a bag of gold next to the lifeless body "You should drop by more often" said the bartender who quickly grabbed the bag of gold Gong left the tavern with the sword he stole from warrior and a grin on his face
Dragonator Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 L7 Dragons Keep; Ragnir's Accommodation Dragonator scrutinized Adym carefully. He speaks the truth, stated Ragnir, sitting back on his hunches. Yes, I think he does too. Adym, I am glad to have someone like you working with me. I have some other plans to attend to, and must travel to Dromindur (M10) for an important meeting. Perhaps you would like to accompany me, and we can discuss this further? However I will give you a basic understanding of my... dream. Dragonator sat down, took a sip from his goblet, and started to talk. I cannot mention anything of my past to you now, but I would like to tell you of my current project. Adym, I want to be able to roam the skies, free, like a dragon. It has always been my dream. I have known what it is like to travel on the back of a dragon, in fact Ragnir and I used to have such fun twisting and soaring- but enough about that. It is not the same as feeling the wind beneath your wings, feeling your muscles contract and move in response to the subtlest of air pressures, is it Ragnir? Ragnir nodded his head sadly. Really, you humans don't know what you are missing. Quite. Adym, I wish to be able to join my friends up in the sky. What I want you to build for me is... Dragonator leaned forward, and whispered into Adym's ear. Sitting back, he said, does that sound like something you could help me do? A frustrated shadow slipped out from beneath the windowsill, and disappeared into the night, displeased at not hearing those last words...
iamded Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 L7 Dragons Keep; Ragnir's Accommodation Adym leant back in his chair, quickly mulling over what Lord Dragonator had said, gathering all his knowledge and ideas that he would need. Not wanting to sound hesitant, he then replied: Well, it is most certainly something new for me. I have a few theories that will need testing, I'll need some time to plan and design it, and then there's the actual building of it... However, I will get it done. You can trust me, Lord Dragonator, and I am honoured to be working for you. I should start right away, I need to get these ideas down on paper. Is there anywhere I can stay, possibly a room with a table for planning, and a bed? I should mention now the only place I have to stay is in the Crown Kingdom, and that's no good for a traveller like me. If I am to stay here and do what you ask, I will need a place to stay, room for planning, and also somewhere to store my Dwarven Mechanical Cart. Adym hoped he wasn't asking too much of Lord Dragonator, but he really didn't see any other way to put it. These were all things he needed, and he didn't want to abandon his prized work and trusted transport device that he'd worked on for so long, his modified Dwarven Mine Defender, which he'd dubbed the DMC. If he had no where to stay, plan and store his equipment, he really couldn't do this.
Dragonator Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 L7 Dragons Keep; Ragnir's Accommodation Dragonator nodded his head. Yes, that I can all have arranged. It is the least I can do for what you are to do for me. I will have chambers made up for you in the castle, and their is amble space in the stables to store your cart. As I have said, I will be going away tomorrow morning if all goes well, so I shall have to leave you here to plan your work, unless you wish to accompany me? I warn you now that the journey I am taking could be dangerous, but then again, it is dangerous for some in this keep at the moment as well. I am not liked by everyone. If you choose to stay here and continue your planning, then Grim will be able to look after you. If you have any need to talk with me, then come see Ragnir, he will be able to pass any messages on to me, and reply in my place. If there is anything else you require then please do not hesitate to ask.
Clonecommando007 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 (M, 18) Teythar of the Crown Knights "We should be arriving at the Eastern outpost soon!" Scot called out. "Indeed," Ark the hunter affirmed, "We'll ask them what's going on." The small group of two commoners and two soldiers broke out of the forest near the outpost, and was astonished at what they saw. Across the border of the undead, hundreds descended toward the Eastern outpost. Battle and death was everywhere. "What's happening?" John, the woodsman, asked. "It's an invasion into the crown knights kingdom!" Teythar answered, "We must help protect this outpost, or the Undead will breach and take over all of the Crown Knights kingdom! Scot, you take Ark and John and counterattack from this flank, I'll find the commander of the base and ask him what we can do!" "Sir!" Scot said, and rode off with John and Ark in his wake. Teythar tied the lone pack horse to a tree, and then rode off at a gallop towards the base itself, and the heart of the battle. He brandeshes his broadsword and smites down several undead, and enters the outpost. "Where can I find the keeper of the outpost, and by what name does he go by?" Teythar called out. An answer came up from on high. "He's a bit north of here, he goes by the name of Edthgar!" Teythar did not reply, he rushed out of the fortress and once again rode through the fight, striking down skelotons and trampling them under his horse. He looked ahead, and saw a gloriously armored knight, next to what looked to be the General of the undead! "Edthgar!" Teythar called out, just as the General swung his sword at the poor base commander.
Shadows Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 K-18/19 Crown Castle Front Gate After a rather uneventful, but informative trip, our band of travellers arrive at the front gate of Crown castle. Well, it looks like this is where we part company, good sir, for I have business with the royal family. With a flourish, Grandoth removes his robes revealing a rather impressive royal crest and produces a letter of passage which he shows to the guard standing at the gate. The guard, appearing more than moderately impressed, calls out for the gate to be opened, but then begins to eye Aluvar suspiciously. Wha' 'bout 'im then? 'es not with you, 'e needs to be movin' 'long. He does have a point there. Oh, right then, I suppose you'll be needing this. With an even grander flourish and a glimmer in his eye, Aluvar pulls his own letter out from behind the ear of the now confused guard. 'ow'd you do that? Do you really want to know? No, I don't 'spose I do. The guard now turns his attention to the letter he didn't even realise he was holding yet. Wha! Two in one day?!?! I 'spose you're both clear to continue on then... Might as well get back in the carriage, since we really are going to the same place. Why, thank you, lad! He didn't tell us he had business with the royal family. It's getting pretty bad when your own birds don't know what's going on. I wouldn't tell us either, we can't keep our mouths shut. Good point. The guard, now looking more bewildered than ever, just stares as the carriage continues on into the castle and the gate lowers. I got a bad feelin' 'bout this...

Tyrius looked at the engineers.. they had just finished work on the tank, which was only really a treaded platform with a gun that fired hot ore. He nodded to the engineers, "You can stay here, we're going to get that Undead General, Thunderhammers! Move!" his call resounded throughout the city, Dwarves came running and they silently filed into a column. When the Eastern outpost's top showed, they were getting very eager, the Undead were smashing the Crown defenders, Tyrius stood at the top of the Hill. "CHARGE!" he yelled and the warriors of the Thunderhammers screamed towards the Undead, Smashing into the Undead ranks. Tyrius saw an Orc (Fershwitz Boran) standing near the edge of the battle and got up behind him, deciding whether to smash Fershwitz, he grabbed the Orc by the hand, "What are you doing here, Orc!" Tyrius growled.

The skeletons had taken light losses. Their inherent trickiness to "kill" combined with the height advantage of the horses had rendered most of the defenders attacks futile. The Inferno Cavalry units peppered throughout the normal cavalry had begun to congregate nearer to the outpost itself when the Thunderhammers arrived. The powerful, bludgeoning tactics are more effective then any stabbing or arrow flinging attacks from before had been, and skeleton warriors begin to topple from their mounts to face the defenders on foot. The battle turns slightly, but not nearly enough for the besieged Crown forces. ::

Shadows Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 K-18/19 Crown Castle Outside the Throne Room I will not! You will! Bluervo and Pinky begin discussing the matter furiously in their native tongue. Would you quiet down? We're next to see the King, right after that messenger, and I don't want the lot of you embarassing me. This is very important business I'm on. Oh really? And just what would that be? I was about to ask the same thing myself. I didn't expect to run into you here, Flangdor. Still up to your usual dirty tricks and feeble attempts at magic? I'll have you know that I'm now a full fledged, certified and licensed Sorcerer! Correspondance school graduate, eh? Huh? HA HA HA HA! I will not tolerate your birds laughing at me! Stand back and I will send them to another dimension! Everyone else laughs at you, why shouldn't they? As for sending them somewhere, just try it ... What was he on about? Need some assistance? Nothing I can't handle. Third rate magician with a big hat and head to match. The throne room doors open, the messenger departs, appearing pleased by the results of his visit, and Aluvar is motioned inside. Well, it seems it's your time to see the King, I think I'll find something to eat. No lad, I think you should accompany me inside, this concerns you as well. Uh... sure. Aluvar and Grandoth enter the Crown throne room. Aluvar bows quickly, while Grandoth falls to one knee and stays there. Your majesty, it's good to see you again, though I wish it were under better circumstances. Yes, I too am pleased and dismayed at the same time, but you know that I would only summon you if it was vitally important to the Crown. I didn't think you would come. It is the answer to my prayers. I could tell the serious nature of the matter from your letter. I have felt the rising evil for some time, but only recently has it been so near. Oh yes, please allow me to introduce Grandoth, he should accompany me. I have already made sure that his heart and mind are true and loyal, he will serve well. Excellent. Uh, you may rise, my boy. I had intended to travel with him personally, before this attack. Now you will go in my place. Th-th-thank you, your majesty! It is an honour to serve you. All my life I have dreamed of an opportunity to ... The King waves his hand toward Grandoth, who immediately falls silent. Hmmm. You sure he's not a bit young? He'll be fine, this trip will mature him tremendously. That it will. That it will... The King hands Aluvar an assortment of papers, a small chest, and a pouch. Take care my friend, and godspeed. The safety of the Crown depends on you. Do what you must. Aluvar and the King exchange a few more pleasantries and a word about Flangdor, and then part ways. Come along, lad, we travel in the morning. Where are we going? Yeah? Where now? We weren't even supposed to be here! I'm not so sure about that. So, where then? You'll see.
