Beardybricks Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 (edited) I posted this over on Reddit but thought people might be interested here. This project took me nine months to complete, unfortunately I don't know the part count. The manor itself is stock but the foundations and grounds around it are my own design based on images of the manor from the film. The lights are Brickstuff LEDs and the blast doors and platform are motorised, though I feel the mechanisms are a bit sloppy and not entirely reliable due to a lack of knowledge on these things. The design is expanded around the Batcave Break-In. Finally the whole thing is sitting on a custom-built wooden turntable to easily view it all. Hopefully these images will work. Thanks for looking. Clone OPatra Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Wow, that's lovely!! Just the grounds around the Manor alone really add a great effect to it, but then the whole hill puts it on a pedestal. Great work. Just a small detail I especially like is the Batman statue - great use of those grey and gunmetal parts. Quote
SpiderJazz Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Holy moly. I'm not a big batman fan. But this is beautiful! Danggg I love it. Quote
Vindicare Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Wow...quite the introduction! This is amazing. I thought it stopped with the Manor & grounds...then POW! The Batcave. Quote
Gusseteer Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Wow, great work. Really top notch stuff dude. Quote
Merch Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 (edited) The expansion to the base of the joker manor Would be a great mod on its own, but the presence of the bat cave underneath brings it to a whole other level. The chattering teeth, snank clown and the big gate all look great. Edited September 18, 2018 by Merch Quote
retrotaco Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Woah. I'm.... wow. Blown away. Any chance for more shots of the Batcave interior? Quote
Beardybricks Posted September 19, 2018 Author Posted September 19, 2018 Thanks guys. Pretty happy with how it's turned out visually, though there are several things I'd like to practically change. I wasn't entirely sure about the Batman statue - Why would Bruce Wayne have a Batman statue? - but it's just better than a plain one. I keep realising there are things I need to photograph, so I'll grab some of the interior, though they'll probably have to be phone snaps, I don't think my camera will fit in the cave. I need to pull my thumb out and get a video together too. Quote
Fenghuang0296 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 That's brilliant! I love it! i'm particularly interested by the Batman statue. Where'd you get those parts printed in grey? Quote
Beardybricks Posted September 19, 2018 Author Posted September 19, 2018 Ok, snapped a few interior shots with my phone. The rear and a side-section of the cave are removable to allow access to the battery box and perform any maintenance. The platform and doors took me weeks to design and get moving, and I'm still not really happy with them but it's beyond my technical ability right now to make them any better. I've bought a couple of Technic sets just to try and learn a little about actuators and pneumatics. Someday I'd like to try incorporating LCDs to replace the Batcomputer screens. The statue uses the torso from #76000, the cape and Bat-a-rangs from the original #76044 (the new version doesn't have a cape), and the cowl from #71344. Generated by http://tools.rackonly.com Quote
